This song is very nicely layered and has a nice catchy rhythm and chorus. However reading the lyrics as the song plays, it's a great short story of how this man has a solid foundation in his wife, who is by his side and always supportive and loving, no matter how unsure he is of himself and how many doubts he has.

Allow me, I think it's mostly about keeping a diary with all your thoughts, and of course it helps to be that type of person. You might want to be like Passenger but perhaps your personalities don't match up. All you have to be in order to gain wisdom is yourself, and keeping important thoughts helps a lot with figuring that out.
