    I have a few archival inks in my stash but haven’t used them. I had no idea they were oil based. This series is the best I’ve seen on inks. Thank you so much and thank you for not pushing products.

    Thank you for the info on Archival inks. I probably will continue to use my other inks more often,but now I know what Archival inks can and cannot do. I appreciate your sharing. Thank you.

      I go bonkers when I see that something going to be 'live'! Went to watch one today and the girl was just sitting there waiting for people to turn on or whatever they do. I felt like they were just wasting my time. Who wants to watch a video of someone sitting and doing nothing?

    Good morning from the States! I've been subscribed to your channel since mid-April. My first video was the beginning of the "No Regrets" series. You were using washi tape and I loved it!
    I love your direct and informative approach. I'm learning so much, especially with this ink series (yes to the embossing and black ink videos 😊). I love your card making style, very simple yet lovely. Thank you so much for what you are doing and the time and effort it takes. I also love all the birds in the background. Sometimes I pause the video because I think the sounds are happening at my house.

    Thanks, Natalie it's good to know all about the different type of inks, I thought they were all the same! I have 4 Archival ink pads that I have not yet used and bought them last year. I also have a tin full of Versa color inks which I think are pigment inks and again, not really used them as they were inherited with the stash of goodies I bought from the lady across the way. I cannot wait for the summer break all that time for crafting, lol. Love the butterfly card, I love all of your cards!! x

    Fabulous video! Yes, please do more videos - it's so nice to have all this information in one playlist! I have the same set of Globleland stamps/dies/stencils. I have been stamping and coloring on white card stock. I don't like the white borders, so have to fussy cut them. Never would I have thought to create a background to stamp on so the cut images would not be white. You have made my day! 🩷👍👍👍

    I am definitely interested with learning about your black inks and embossing inks. I ended up with a small collection of black inks as I looked for the darker print. I have been playing with the properties - what can be used with water, alcohol, different surfaces etc but I’m in no way as systematic as you are so I’m not sure if I am really learning about them or if I’ve collected the right ones. I love your channel

    Just used archival distress hickory smoke on a new Lavinia stencil tonight...
    I didn't realise they were permanent. Just as well I bought the cleaner on sale isn't it 😂😂😂 they certainly worked beautifully stencilling, though. Really liked it. I practiced first but didn't try the cleaning.
    Now I just have to find where I put the cleaner!!!

      All good, Natalie, found it where it ought be and all clean again.
      Hickory smoke is beautiful. I bought the distress set of four half price with the cleaner. I think Archival cleaner would be like the stazon cleaner and was running low on that.
      Keep up your great videos! you're a real favourite with Jo Rice from Lavinia. She's in Cheshire and she also puts a smile on my face.
      You're much more varied though in your choice of videos.

    What is the difference between distress ink and distress oxide?

    • @nbcascards
      @nbcascards  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Distress Inks are water-based dye inks (a bit like the Catherine Pooler inks I talked about in the previous video). Distress oxide are a water-based hybrid of dye and pigment. The Inks are translucent and the oxides are opaque.
