I just tried to brush hog with a family member’s Kabota l2800. His is a complete death trap. (I have been earning a living for years on JD compact tractors.) Maintenance is everything.
Hi Dawg and Roadie! Yes maintenance is so important! I was lucky to get a unit with such low hours. It had right around 200 hours when we bought it. Now we are right around 430 and it has been amazing! I grease all the zirks every 10 hours and still need to take it in for a hydraulic fluid change. After every mowing I clean the secondary air filter and blow out the radiator and I always check to make sure all the turnbuckles are snugged up on the 3-point hitch assembly. Why was your relatives a death trap? Our landpride brush hog is wonderful, but again...maintenance! Thanks for reaching out!
@@BidwellCanyonFarm hood to hear it found a good home. I too grease every 8 hours during the cool months and every 4 during the heat (when I am working gravel). I too use the dealership for the big maintenance marks, let it get a full check up.
For your viewers, a little spray paint on the parts that need it will help prevent premature rust out. Especially the bucket and brush hog.

How is it going with this tractor? I need a tractor and there’s one for sale locally to me for $12k. Of course we wouldn’t buy brand new.
Still going strong here! This tractor is the best investment we’ve ever made for sure. It only had 241 hours when we bought it and we now have 411. So it is really just a lil baby. The price sounds good. How many hours does it have?
