- The RØDE NT1 and NT1-A, whats the difference you ask? In this video, Stian compares these two legendary mics and what sets them apart.
Both deliver incredible audio with an already long-standing reputation, but each has some unique sonic colors that make them fit for a purpose.

simple and straight to the point, thank you
nice and clear
Hi, which of these 2 microphones picks up the least surrounding noise (and room reverb) in the case of untreated or moderately treated acoustics?
NT1A
Just subbed
It seems to me that the Nt1a has a greater dynamic range. That is, it can withstand greater acoustic pressure without overloading its preamp.
Which one is better for voiceover. podcasts. zoom lectures. recording voice (not singing) and recording digital courses? NT1 OR NT1A? It's hard for me to decide...Thank you for a wonderful comparison.🙂👌👍
As a general use mic for all the functions you listed, either of them will work just great! Although I'd suggest you start with the NT-1 as it's a bit more neutral compared to the NT-1A, but again either will work great!
@@musicaldistributors1969 Thank you very much. It has been very helpful ! Be blessed...🙂🙂🙂
Which one is better for a rap vocal?
Both would work very well! But they will have different characteristics that you can decide which is better suited for your style :)
These mics have just been replaced by the latest edition of the NT1, this would be incredible for vocals:
