I think it's safe to say that 'Airplane' went over his head.
I said to myself before watching "He's not going to understand half of the references."
No I didn't. Lol
@@AwesomeUSMovies yea its one of those movies where you had to be living in the time period to make the connections to the comedy, if you did, you'd be on the floor laughing the entire time
@@AwesomeUSMovies you could literally make a video about the same length as the film with all the cuts from old movies that this makes reference to.
For instance the disco scene was from Saturday Night Fever, the beach scene was from From Here to Eternity, the pep talk was lifted from Newt Rockney: All American. Probably all movies you've never seen.
Thanks for the heads up.
I understood most of the references and still thought it was pretty bad. For me it's just a question of what legitimate humor actually is.
Kareem-Abdul’s role was a spoof of the fact that in the movie they’re directly making fun of, one of the pilots was being played by a famous football player who was attempting to transition into acting.
I had no clue!
Does this particular football player happen to have the same last name as a famous cartoon family X)
@@driptrat He was called Elroy Hirsch
Elroy “Crazylegs” Hirsch, to be exact.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is an American former professional basketball player who played 20 seasons in the National Basketball Association for the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers. Height: 7′ 2″
If you are trying to inform someone about a subject please try to get at least one thing correct. Don't just make the whole thing up and lie about everything. That won't help anyone.
9:12 Fun thing about this particular shot (something that you can't unsee once you see it): You can see Robert Hayes (Ted) in the background on the right side of the screen waiting to spring out of the crowd once his stunt double falls out of frame into the crowd. Not a ton of people have really noticed it, even on multiple viewings of the movie.
That's funny
I have seen this movie at least 20 times and I swear I’ve never noticed that. Thank you!!!
"This isn't a train station"
This movie is whatever it wants to be, James ;)
Apparently it was crazy!
You crack me up! I was dying that you asked, "Is this a slapstick kind of thing?" at the "ham on 5, hold the mayo" line and not when the "no stopping" announcements were arguing. 🤣
Best Disaster comedy movie ever made!! Love it from start to finish.
Really? Best ever?
@@AwesomeUSMovies
Hell yeah!!
damn straight
This is such a classic ahaha. It's full of jokes that are just dumb but that's kind of the point. Some of it still holds up today but obvioulsy not all of it will. It was made for an audience over 40 years ago now. I think I watched it when I was 13 or 14 and it was hilarious then.
Funny
I've watched this movie probably 20 times, as recently as last year, and it cracks me up every time!
I think one of the keys to the film is to know that the 70’s was a decade of serious movies about planes and fires and maritime disasters. They’d be packed full of movie and tv stars and sometimes even sports figures. Typically characters were broad “types”, like brainy kids and nuns . They’d pretty much run their course by 1980, so this was a big goofy spoof of all the clichés.
That's makes total sense Chris. Appreciate that.
@@AwesomeUSMovies ya, this guy is dead on. As a kid, in the late seventies, it was difficult to avoid the disaster movies on television.
Hurricane (for a kid in Florida that was a bit disturbing), Earthquake, Volcano, Poseidon Adventure. Very formulaic.
This movie was also a shot for shot remake of the movie "Zero Hour!" released in 1957.
You should have noticed the jars of mayonnaise on the shelves in the Mayo Clinic. The silly humor is that evey joke was taken laterally.
Oh that is funny
I guess I picked the wrong day to watch an Airplane movie reaction 😙
Oh I'm sorry. Please check out some of my other comedy stuff. This is the first movie I really just didn't get.
@@AwesomeUSMovies I actually enjoyed the reaction. My comment was a tribute to the "I guess I picked the wrong day to stop drinking, sniffing glue, etc lines from the movie.
James’ reaction to your comment fits perfectly with the humor of the movie. Loved it! 🤣
Brilliant comment!😆
It's a spoof. A lot of the jokes were more relevant to the 70's teenagers and adults...lol. They were making fun of a movie called Zero Hour and the Airport disaster movies of the 70's.
Yeah I've never heard of it. I just suck at references right now.
@@AwesomeUSMovies That's why your Patrons need to do their homework and know what you NEED to see before recommending movies with a bunch (or even one) pertinent reference. C'mon Patrons...James is counting on y'all!
James Hong (the passenger who commits seppuku) is actually really funny and it's a shame he has no lines. Check him out in the John Carpenter cult classic Big Trouble in Little China.
Added to my list, thanks for the suggestion.
Big trouble is a great flick, John Carpenter and Kurt Russell made some very good movies in the 80s
This was the first movie we ever rented to play on our very first VCR. The jive speaking lady played June Cleaver, the mother on the iconic and holsum tv show "Leave It To Beaver"
Another thing you may not be aware of is in the 1970s the "disaster" film was a popular genre, including several high budget airport disaster films. This was poking direct fun at the style of film. It was SO successful at mocking those films, it essentially killed off the genre, because people couldn't take it seriously after this film mocked them so badly.
Oh that is fun and interesting thanks
@@AwesomeUSMovies check out the trailer for Airport 1975. You will see them mention a lot of things that were in this film.
Airlines in North America began banning smoking in the late 1980s, but it took until February 25, 1990 to nix it from all domestic flights, except for a few flights over six hours. For a while, pilots were allowed to keep smoking, but that privilege ended long ago.
Good info thanks
Also if you thought this movie was bad and racist.. Not sure if you should watch Blazing Saddles. Cause on the surface people can think it's really racist, but actually about the absurdity of racism and other stereotypes etc. It's brilliant, but you do have to have an open mind and a great sense of humor to be ok with it and to understand it.
Good note thanks
@@AwesomeUSMovies but also keep in mind that one is listed as one of the funniest comedies of all time. It came out in 74 and was way ahead of its time. Co written by Richard Pryor and Mel Brooks. And it really does show just how stupid and ridiculous racism and stereotypes really are. And the actors Cleavon Little, Gene Wilder and Harvey Korman and Madelyn Khan are on their A game with this.
You're the first person I saw who commented on how expensive the plane breaking through the windows was- my exact thoughts.... has to be one of the most underrated practical stunts ever.
Agreed
I loved the part when the man pulled the plug for the runway lights
It's like the Randy Quaid character from Kingpin is reviewing a movie
I don't get that reference sorry
I love how the kid is unphased by the inappropriate questions from the pilot, but looks shit-scared when "Roger Murdoch" (Kareem) challenges him.
So true
Airplane is NOT an awesome US movie?! My faith is rattled.
It's just soooo stupid and maybe that is the thing. If I know it was supposed to be stupid going in I might have reacted differently. Like if I knew it was just puns and slap stick stuff I would have been better prepared
@@AwesomeUSMovies It's an over-the-top silly movie with a lot of quotable moments. You laughed at the parts that most people find funny, but I don't think anybody considers it a "great film." It's a stupid movie you don't have to think about too much, like Naked Gun, Hot Shots, or Loaded Weapon. And it doesn't shy away from making insensitive jokes and making references to things relevant to the era (he never has to cups of coffee at home, etc.), which can turn people off. I think you got out of it what could be expected. I appreciate you being honest about your opinion.
It is on the The Congressional National Film Registry for its cultural and/or historical significance. So it very much is. That said, it is not for everyone.
@@gokaury I mean I'm sure there's a lot of references that you would only get at the time it came out. Like how "Not another Teen Movie" or to a lesser extent "Scary Movie" have a lot of references to films of those genres that came out in the year or two before.
When I'm in a bad mood I put this on. It always makes me laugh.
The scene with the train conductor and her running is from a WWII era movie called "Since you went away."
Added to my list, thanks for the suggestion.
My Dad loved this movie when I was little... and I think it took me about 5 re-watches to understand 'Ted's' "drinking problem....."
This movie is actually a shot-for-shot remake/parody of a drama from (I believe) 1958, called "Zero Hour!" You should give that a watch :)
This was my dad & I's movie. My mom hated slapstick/knee slapper type comedies. But my dad loved them. When we got our very first VHS, this was the first movie we watched together. And we watched it all the time. Great memories w/ this movie. I remember using ladder trucks to get on the plane when I was a kid, probably all depends on which airport, cause I do remember using a jetway in Phx, but using the ladder truck in I think either Tucson or Sacramento. (my grandparents lived in Sacramento and sometimes I'd fly out of Phx and sometimes Tucson to go visit when I was a kid. So maybe big airports all had them? And I remember some of the planes had like a smoking section that looked more like a lounge than these tight little infant seats we get nowadays. But seeing this movie as a kid is the reason I still don't eat fish.. :)
On almost all of my flights in the past few decades, there was a jetway.
I did have one rare exception, on a trip from Florida to Indiana a few years ago, on one of my flights, we had to climb some narrow stairs up into the plane.
@@shawbros yeah. But this movie is 42 years old from the time it was released. My story is from 79-82, I remember the ladder truck Maybe it was more of a smaller town/airport thing or smaller airlines thing I always flew PSA (Pacific Southwest Airlines)since it was from Arizona to Cali. But, now that I'm writing this I do recall flying Eastern once as well, but I don't know if it had a jetway or not, don't remember each one. But I do remember the ladder trucks. It may have been a Tucson and Sacramento thing (smaller airports) now that I'm thinking about it.
I also have gotten on a plane that used a ladder truck. It was actually when I was in Key West, FL. VERY TINY airport.
for the record yes the winds in the cockpit can be opened..BUT ONLY IN AN EMERGENCY EVACUATION
edited: even though it a comedy what happenes to the pilot and co-pilot is why the FAA mandates that the pilot must have a different meal then the co-pilot
Ohh ok that is interesting. Thanks for that.
LMAOOO....I got my biiggest laugh when you said, "I'm glad it's over". 🤣
The comedy in this movie is constant and still now I catch new things I missed…. And I’ve watched this movie over 50 times 😂
holy moly, 50 times? That's crazy
@@AwesomeUSMovies
😂 I love movies/cinema. This movie played off of the 1970 movie ‘Airport’. Which was a thriller disaster movie.
My dad used to love this movie (still does) and would laugh so hard at this with tears coming down his face when I was a kid. I never understood the jokes then, I thought it wasn't funny. But then when I got older, I watched it again and now I laugh at the ridiculous and stupid jokes in it.
You didn't recognize the references to From Here to Eternity (1953), Saturday Night Fever (1977), the entire Airport franchise, or the mom from Leave It to Beaver. And many, many more. Lol! Also, part of the charm of the film is that actors known their whole careers for playing very serious roles, Robert Stack of The Untouchables, Lloyd Bridges of Sea Hunt, and Leslie Nielsen of Forbidden Planet, playing fake-serious comedy roles. Did you notice the Mayo Clinic had jars of mayonnaise on the shelves behind the doctor instead of books?
No sorry, I haven't seen any of those movies. Lots to watch
By the way, that was Jimmie Walker ("Dynomyte!") on the 'hood' of the airplane.
Sounds a little familiar
The "Airport" movies deserved this spoof. The hilarious thing is that no one remembers those movies and everyone knows this one.
You definitely hold the unpopular opinion on this movie. Too many people misuse the concept where their opinion cannot be wrong. As the enjoyment of something is purely subjective, you get to not enjoy one of the films consistently ranked among the funniest ever made.
Thanks I just don't think I understood all the references
This is a classic funny movie, and yes you lack the knowledge to appreciate all the jokes
Agreed
I was waiting patiently for your end thought....once you said it was so stupid...boy did I laugh!!!! I think you had to watch it years ago to really appreciate it.
I think you're right. I just didn't get it
Just got home from work and running errands. So stoked to see this reaction up, can't wait to relax and watch!

@@AwesomeUSMovies Very much so! Your videos never fail to bring a smile to my face. I appreciate you!
The best part about Otto is, he didn't have fish for dinner!

Yeah I'm sure people wanted something else but I need to be honest with my subs.
It's 2022 and I still think this movie is so funny! Watching you react to it makes it so entertaining also!
Thanks
Your Patrons should have made sure you watched EVERY movie that was feferenced in this before having you watch it. They deprived you of a serious ongoing tear-rolling belly laugh. I'm tempted to become a Patron to see what else they're recommending......
This movie used to play on NBC on the regular. I liked to watch Leslie Nielsen in every film he starred in. He was a comic genius.
5:20 There are still a lot of airports that don't have jetways today.
our local airport has recently had a MAJOR rebuild and jetways was not part of it. you still walk across the tarmac and use the stairs.
That's crazy
@@AwesomeUSMovies not really. even at the Melbourne airport, some budget flights don't use the jetways.
IMHO The funniest movie of all time....but everything is not for everyone, it's no big deal. You are going to get some hate, people online can be just plain nasty when others don't share their opinions. Don't sweat it.
Appreciate that
Airplane! Has been preserved by the Library of Congress. It is considered by many to be among the funniest movies ever made. The ridiculousness is the whole freaking point. Chomp don't want no help, Chomp don't get no help.
What is the last part of your comment? I just didn't get all the references to movies I haven't seen.
@@AwesomeUSMovies its the old lady who translated jive's line. Sure, there are some references younger folks miss - like the "win one for the Zipper" speech, or perhaps not being familiar with Ethel Merman, but you cut out most of the wordplay! Even if you don't get any pop culture reference, the film is still sublimely silly.
Its chump (a foolish person) not chomp (to munch or chew).
@@blkluv100 I've listened to this line for years and I actually don't think it's "chump" - although that would make far more sense. It sounds like "chop", "chopper" or "chomp". I did my best. Cut me some slack, Jack. 😁
@@curtismartin2866 As someone who grew up in the seventies I can assure you the word used was "chump". "Jive talk" was a real thing, although exaggerated for this movie, it was urban black slang. "Chump" was slang for "fool" and was commonly used in the 70s exploitation movie genre.
And the guy who checks the radar range ("about 2 more minutes, chief") is Jonathan Banks, who played Mike Ehrmantraut om "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul."
Sorry I don't know those shows
@@AwesomeUSMovies then that’s something to look forward to. They’re both great shows
Fun fact: the "red zone" and "white zone" announcers were a married couple in real life.
That's funny thanks
I'm so excited to see you react to this! In case you were interested, I have two movie recommendations for you. Edward Scissorhands, a charming bittersweet movie from Tim Burton, the director of Beetlejuice and The Rocketeer, an underrated Disney movie from 1991, from the same director of Captain America: The First Avenger.
The Rocketeer is definitely underrated! I think people don't care for it because it's slower and not as very flashy as people probably expected from a Disney film. I honestly think it would have done better if it were related by Warner Brothers or someone else due to the expectations, lol.
Thanks, I've added all these to my list. It's appreciated
@@davidsneary5147 The Rocketeer is great!, would love to see a reaction to that one. I don't think Tim Burton directed the Rocketeer though..
@@Zekegedd Oh, lol. I didn't mean to say that Tim Burton directed The Rocketeer. The Rocketeer was directed by the guy who did Captain America: The First Avenger. I guess I could've worded it better.
You guys need to look up the definition of the word “underrated”.
probably the most commonly known thing about this movie is that it inspired a rule on real world airlines that the pilots are not allowed to have the same meal in case of food poisoning incidents.
Really... That's funny.
Wowwww. I did NOT know that! Good rule though.
This movie has so many pop culture references, if you don't know them, you won't get the jokes. I liked that everything was so literal and everyone played it very straight. Leslie Nielsen, who played the doctor, had a drama-based career before this movie. After he did this, his career took off and he became known for his comedies. Both Robert Stack and Lloyd Bridges (the 2 older men who talk down the plane) were also known for mainly doing drama, so it was strange seeing them in this very over-the-top comedy.
Thanks for more info. I just didn't get it.
A classic! Love this movie!
Hope you enjoy my reaction
4:43 when you realized it’s a spoof movie. Wicked Smahht.
Nope, didn't know
Awesome channel my friend!
It shouldn't have taken that long.
Your putting me up to so many movies iv never seen hahahaha not hopefully next one is better lol 😂
The next time I see one of your reactions up, I'm gonna read a book instead!
🙂😀😃😄😁
OMG, I have soooo many suggestions. Where do I start? Please tell me what genre your into.
If you're looking for something light, try "Famous Jewish Sports Legends".
Hi James! Glad to see you doing this one. The movie is hilarious, but as I begin your video, I noticed in the comments that you didn't "get" some of the jokes. I'll try to help you out there, a bit. I know there were a lot of "Pop Culture" references made in this movie, and if you lived a sheltered life (growing up and working on a farm qualifies you there), you may not get a lot of them. That's okay. I know how hard farming is, and how much of your life it can take up, especially for a child. I grew up in a large city, and had loads of free time, so I was always in the loop on pop culture.
3:11 - According to what I have heard, the two arguing over the loud speakers actually worked at there airport doing those announcements, and were married at the time. That's why they were cast, and had the argument.
3:38 - Back in the 70s, these religious people accosting people for donations was quite common. I forget exactly which year, but during the Reagan years, they were finally banned from doing that.
4:24 - That still beating hard is only half of the joke. Did you notice all of the jars of mayonnaise on the shelves behind him? They Mayo Clinic was actually a pretty famous institution back in the day.
5:24 - The guy cleaning the windows and checking the oil is none other than Jimmy Walker. He starred in "Good Times" and was a breakout star because of it. Also, there's no engine under that hood on a real airplane.
5:55 - No, nor do pilots pay for fuel for the airplane. This was just a sight gag spoofing the Carter era oil crisis.
6:20 - Yes, you could smoke pretty much everywhere back then.
6:46 - These two guys were hilarious in their own right. "Urban slang" was called "Speaking Jive", and it confused a lot of people who didn't understand it. I grew up in a racially mixed neighborhood, so I understood a lot of what they were saying.
7:10 - Glass was still being used because plastic was kinda new at the time. It was starting to make its way into more consumer products, but glass was still the most popular medium for storage. I forget what year you were born, but everything from baby bottles to soda bottles, to, as you can see, medical still used glass.
8:55 - Another Pop Culture reference. Staying Alive was originally made popular by the movie Grease. John Travolta did a dance number in that movie wearing the exact same suit that he is.
12:30 - The girl who was the heart transplant patient also played as Captain Stubing's daughter on The Love Boat TV series.
13:05 - The "Second Cup of Coffee" was a reference to a television ad that was popular at the time. The couple you see here starred in that commercial.
15:50 - That "and don't call me Shirley" line sparked a bit of pop culture of its own. To this day, people still use that line.
17:14 - It was 1980. Being an "effeminate" man wasn't socially acceptable at the time. But like you noted earlier, this movie is over the top with its silliness.
17:43 - Not only playing basketball, but it's on the only major game console at the time, the Atari 2600.
18:00 - Yeah, but the joke there was that Disco was dying, the guy at the radio station claimed it would live forever, and the airplane knocked the transmission tower over, thus taking Disco off the air.
Also, a very subtle running joke that you missed, was the sound of the plane's engines. This was a jet plane, but the sound was that from propellor driven planes.
18:24 - Robert Stack and Lloyd Bridges were both well known "serious/dramatic" actors. This was the first comedy they did, and it translated very well because of their history of "serious" roles.
21:00 - The movie is "over the top silly". Nothing in it is meant to be taken seriously. It was a spoof of "disaster movies" that were popular at the time. "The Poseidon Adventure", "The Towering Inferno", and the "Airport" movies are prime examples of that type of movie. All star casts, a major disaster they have to deal with, and a resolution. Often, some of the characters didn't make it to the end, because "dramatic effect". With that said, this type of comedy IS an acquired taste. I understand that you're not really into that. But I grew up on "silly comedies" like this with Monty Python, Benny Hill, and the children's shows of the early 1970s. Which were bizarre in and of themselves. I'm going to be doing some videos about them on my "Snarky Gen-Xer" channel in a couple of weeks. My sister is coming to town today, and she tends to keep me busy. She'll be here for a week, so I might be out of the loop while she's here.
Also, a lot of the pop culture references didn't age well. I'm not sure where you saw "racism" at, the "speaking Jive" was actually a thing back in the 70s. It was common among African-Americans, and only white people who interacted with them regularly could understand it. It was basically "urban-slang". Either you understood it, or you didn't. But that's why sub-titles were included, in case you didn't.
I've watched dozens of reactions to this movie and you're the first guy who has noted the propeller/ jet sound gag. I was beginning to think I was the only one who caught it!
@@richarddowns7162 Yeah, I really enjoy watching people see those older movies that I'm familiar with. I'm just trying to help them along because it's not always easy to spot certain things, especially Pop Culture references from that time period.
@@richarddowns7162 No one ever points out how his war flashbacks keep going further and further back in time. The first one is War World 2, which he would've been to young to have participated.

@@AwesomeUSMovies i probably didn't either. for me the humour comes from the serialism and word play
Sssoooo, no Mel Brooks films then.... Got it, lol.
I'm sad you didn't enjoy it. It's considered a classic to many of us. It's a part of an entire spoof/absurd subgenre of comedy that's not really done anymore. At least not well in my opinion. But in the 70s to early 90, they were very popular.
You said you don't "get" lots of it, so maybe after you get some more films under your belt you'll appreciate a bit more of what these movies have to offer. Lots of times they have subtle commentaries on society disguised as "bits" that take some time and thought to become apparent. I find it very rewarding to look into them and see what the writers/directions are trying to convey. Especially as these movies continue to age. It really helps give an insight on where we were as a culture.
I think you make a good point. I'm assuming there were movie references in there that I just don't get at all. Time will tell

This is interesting James, I thought this movie would be right up your alley! I guess you've got a bit of a practical mind for these impossibly silly old style parody movies. People like to say you can't make a lot of these same jokes today but honestly that might be for the better. Whatever you do, though, steer clear of the 90s and 2000s parody movies in this style, they make this movie look like Shakespeare! You'd probably really like "Naked Gun", which has this style of humor but has a bit more plot and structure.

Ohh it could be way worse
One of the gags that is actually partly true is the pilot using the credit card copier. Granted, it wouldn't happen out the window and would involve an airline company card instead of a personal card. But the basic premise is sound.
If an airline lands a plane for service at an airport where they don't have a standard contract, the ground service providers would have a system for securing payment authorization on the spot. I worked as a ramp agent and fueler at a major airport for a few years in the 90s and did indeed have interactions like that with pilots from time to time.
That's funny
Great video as alwayss!!
Greatest comedy of all time!!
Good to see you hope you enjoyed the movie and also hope you will see the rest of the Fast and the Furious movies!
Had no clue there was 9 of those!
@@AwesomeUSMovies They get better and better trust me!
Portable stairs are still used at some airports, i.e. Burbank. Or to be more accurate, ramps.
Got it thanks
i just like watching this when movie reactors are showing it. Me too it wasnt for me. But its the nostalgia back then that’s cool.
Glad we agree
This is a spoof of some airplane disaster movies that were made in the 70’s, they were called airports 75, airport 77 and airport 79 the concorde.
The couple making the airport announcements apparently worked at Los Angeles international airport doing announcements.
That's funny thanks
And were married in real life!
We used glass iv bottles into the 80's.
We did?
Wow I Love this movie so much ❤️❤️❤️
16:44 Best laugh ever 😂
You may want to check out my Comedy playlist. LOTS of those laugh
this is one of the greatest movies ever made
Yeah I just didn't get it
@@AwesomeUSMovies Have u seen Blazing Saddles?
Great movie :) . this is a spoof movie no logic in it :) . I hope you do Top Secret 1984 also . it is from the same directors but it is less known
Thanks I'll take a look
The pilot's windows does open, when needed, not for credit card, though...
Funny thanks
oh man i didnt start watching yet but i already know youre about to laugh harder than ive ever seen.
edit: ok well that was interesting but just goes to show what happens when you assume things. So youve pointed out you didnt get a lot of references, i dont think thats not why you liked it though. As a 90s kid i never got most of these references either but even without them i always thought this movie was hilarious. maybe slapstick humor just isnt for you, and thats fine, a lot of people dont like it. If you didnt like this, then personallt i think you shouldnt waste your time with the naked gun because its just more of the same.
since everyone is making recommendations, may i recommend The Matrix? probably my favorite movie ever. and a total landmark in terms of culture and film. It changed everything. If youre trying to catch up on culture you missed, you HAVE to see it. Its pretty dark and serious in tone though, but youve watched saving private ryan so i think you can handle just about anything.
I'll make sure it's on my list thanks
Yes, that window actually does slide open. El Al has had their open during the different peace flights as Israel normalizes relations with the Arab world. Have seen the pilots leaning out this window. Obviously you can’t open it when you are airborne. Even if you wanted to do to pressurization.
Good deal thanks for answering
I think for a lot of people you have to understand the humor, is very literal, dump jukes, when you realize this is the type of movie is really funny, also the jokes were made when people didnt offended about everything
Are The Naked Gun movies next??! There is also a VERY famous sports figure in those movies too.
I think it's been requested but I'll check
@@AwesomeUSMovies I much prefer Naked Gun to Airplane, simply because Leslie Nielsen is the main charecter. His humor is iconic, really hope you get to watch them someday
@@ohyes54 But it is directed/produced by the same people who did Airplane! So bear that in mind.
@@ohyes54 Leslie Nielsen is a legend
I could easily watch this movie at least once a year
Hi James
The ZAZ (Zucker, Abrahams, Zucker) Team is famous for their ...Over-the-Top Slapstick Movies .
And this Movie here was the Start of Leslie Nielsons Career as a comical Actor . (Also famous are his Police Squad Comedies which have a similar kind of Humor) .
Got it thanks
One of the funniest movies ever made. Sorry you couldn’t appreciate it.
There was funny parts. I just didn't get the references
@@AwesomeUSMovies no worries, everyone has different gifts them bring to the table.
