Isle of Wight in a Motorhome - Getting On The Ferry

In this video we show you getting on the Red Funnel Ferry in our motorhome in Southampton. We had never done anything like this before so as usual we were far too early and had to go round the block. The Isle of Wight festival had just finished so people were coming back over in droves so the port was a bit of a nightmare.
Once aboard all was fine.
On the other side we make our way to The Orchards Campsite and show you around a little bit.

Ferry crossing was easy for both of us and the dogs.

Tip from an islander for ferry's make friends with one of us, we get discount codes to help with the extortion that red funnel or wightlink charge lol

I'm glad you enjoyed it ☺️ I'm fortunate enough to have been born and raised here, sadly the ferry companies are becoming out of control with their prices and for a lesser service than before. There's so much to do and see here, it's a beautiful place, it's a worry that the ferry costs will put people off.
