Very good, I'v got an '91 lh119 and alway though a winch could proably fit in there, now I know it can. I was thnking id just bolt a steel plate across the top of the chassis rails but maybe it would foul on the AC. I guess thats why you did it this way. Anyway, great job and thanks for the inspiration.
You are welcome! It’s a 9500 lbs winch from Amazon called open road. It had good reviews and I knew I wanted the nylon rope not the steel one. I had to figure it out the hard way so figured I’d share
@@baitegainejonathandaudi7734 it’s probably more that you need but incase you do get in a jamb that’s not a bad thing. It’s the perfect size for the space if you want to integrate it into the bumper. If it’s an lh119 van it should follow the same installation procedure. Where are you located?
Very nice, it looks clean & tidy. I got a Toyota hiace 2009 that I’m going to attempt to install a winch into. Wish me luck i think I’m going to need it lol
It’s a double battery factory system. I got a heavy duty circuit breaker from Amazon and ran a thick wire to the area under the dash and added a cut off switch. Then out the firewall to the winch. It has a wireless remote which works awesome!
THAT IS NICE 👌 👍 clean job. I'm putting one on. You make it look so easy. Agine, thanks for making these videos. Very helpful. How much would it cost me for you to make the winch braket? Thanks 😊
Hey. You know how to tightened the powere steering belt? 91 3l lh119. Did the timing belt done with michanic and they left it lose. Anything would help. I'm going to try do it myself. Thanks 😊
@@mikyeswolde it’s been a few months since I tightened mine but I think it was just 2 14 mm bolts then it is lose and will pivot to provide belt tension as you tighten the bolt in that direction. Good luck!

This is the one and only video out there on how to install a winch on to a Toyota hiace, thank you
Would like to know about the specs of the winch, it's a perfect fit

I recently acquired a 1996 Toyota hiace super custom, would you recommend the same winch for me?

Thanks again, from uganda
Dude. So awesome so kewl I came across you!👍🏾
Much obliged! Working on this van is always a wild goose chase, so if I can share info with others it’s with the aim of filming it
I love this idea! Would be stoked if I could buy a mount for my 91 Hiace! Looks like would be exactly the same as yours!
Where are you located? Maybe we could fab you one up
got an email I can message ya!? Thanks for this video!
@@FixerMerlin I'm in Edmonton, would you be willing to build the same one and ship?

It totally can be done! just take your time and make sure it all dry fits together before you weld or drill into the frame
@@FixerMerlin thanks, will send you a pic when it’s finished 👍
@@zanehambln can’t wait to see it, what part of the world are you in?
Did you get it done?
@@jordyn1186no I haven’t yet, one thing has led to another & now the winch solenoid has jammed up so thinking of buying a new winch & solenoid!.
Mate, this is legendary. Thanks heaps. I'm going to do this to mine. How did you wire up your batteries?

Ya it’s easy, just loosen the bolts and pry it out keeping the belt tight as you re tighten the bolts
@@FixerMerlin is it bolt adjustment?

@@FixerMerlin thanks. Sorry one more question. Am I alternator or tensioner?
