It has now been about 50 years since I met Joris de Laet from the SEM (Studio Experimental Music), later I worked with Michel Waisviz from the Steim ... also a long time ago. I see that electronics have advanced enormously. Last week it was great music... now great electronics. But still, the passion and inventiveness of de Laet and Waisvisz clearly compensated for the inferior electronics.
Music should always be reinterpreted. But to me this is leaning far too much on original music by people kept unknown, and it borders exploitation of original folk music.

Geweldige muziek. Ik volg Imed Alibi al sinds 2016 en hij weet elke keer weer opnieuw te verrassen. Zijn cd Safar is ook het beluisteren waard.
