RAW: Stock HONDA CB1000R with quickshifter and blipper

- Sweet bike with amazing stock sound - I'd really like to ride one with an Akrapovic one day. And the Quickshifter + Blipper worked perfectly!
Trying to figure out the new audio recording device. Sadly the technology wasn't with me today. Either the Gopro or the H1n stopped recording during the rides. So this is about the only sequence where they both worked the way they should - at the same time.
But I think it's even better than the Rode-Mic I tested in the last video. Although there was probably something below the rear seat of the bike, that vibrated close to the mic.
Anyway, enjoy the ride!
And as always: This is a sporty but chill ride on a public road, so don't expect racetrack driving.

I have the same bike.
Autoblipper superb in UP shifts.
Like yours, mine is less so on the DOWN shifts.
I tend to use the clutch for downshifts these days, just too hard to get a clean downshift 100% of time.
You should be revvmatching on downshifts
@@CaptainCrossplane not with the auto blipper. It's meant to shift down without you applying the throttle.
My auto blipper works brilliant, I only use the clutch from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 1st, everything else QS up and down, if you fitted it yourself or got someone to do it for you just make sure the measurements are correct on the adjustment of the QS, if I remember correctly it should be 230mm
autoblipper only works on downshifts mate.

Planning on getting the CB1000R (2008). Is it possible to fit the quickshifter with blipper on it? If so what would the price for parts be and the amount of time it takes to install? Thanks for the vid. Great landscape you have there!

I really can't answer any of your questions, sorry. I'm not a mechanic. You will have to contact your local HONDA dealership and ask them. I just testrode this newer model.
There sure is a aftermarket Quickshifter that you could put in. Blipper I don't know, could be.

Hi there. Sorry for the late answer. Can't really tell :/ the model in the video was a very new one. 2019 I think. But I'm not sure when they added the blipper. QS was on earlier models already i think

which year model is this? and does the quickshift and auto blipper comes w the bike?
2018 - it was an optional equipment, and the Plus version had it as standard
I believe since 2021, when they only sold the "Black Edition" it has been standard... but heated grips are no longer available for some reason
This version also has the heated grips and some other bits right?
Heated grips were installed, yes. What else there is exactly, I don't know to be honest :)

What's the green light on the right side of the dash for?
I think it tells you when you ride efficiently. Like high gears and steady throttle, then it would show. Never really been told what exactly it stood for though. I could be wrong. That light was the only thing that annoyed me about the bike. Kept going on and off and was very irritating.

Where did you put the H1 microphone?
Placed it below the passenger seat wrapped in some foam. Not ideal and not as close to the exhaust as I would've wished. But I think it worked allright.
@@nanocake I think it's great. It's hard to find a place where wind noise won't ruin the sound

Als Fahrer nicht hörbar. Liegt wahrscheinlich an der Position des Mikros. Am besten probefahren :)

It is the stock Honda quickshifter and blipper. You can order the bike with these already installed :)

@@ricardoabreu69 Since November 2018, I have a CB 1000r normal version with no quickshifter, but there is a plus version whit quickshifter (up and down); heated hand grips and a couple of adicional aluminium cover pieces, at least in Europe.
