I will never use another Bible! The Westminster, in all its sizes, has every base covered. 200,000 cross references tops any other reference Bible by a long shot, plus you get the original King James translator’s margin notes, something I really appreciate. I currently use the Westminster Compact as my daily reader. I love that there are paperback, hard back, and calveskin versions. I paid $21 for the large print hard back, which I really love!

This is my daily driver! It didn’t hold up very well though. I’ve had it since about Feb 2020 and had to tape down a lot of the front of the book because the pages started to detach from the spine ( Genesis 6-7, introduction pages). I was planning on switching the Reformation Heritage as my main but we’ll see. I love this Bible and it’s been a great blessing to me!

Wow that is rare to hear, did you reach out to TBS I'm sure they would be happy to fix that problem. Also I have switched to the Reformation Heritage as my main bible as well;) it's a good one! Thanks for watching and commenting!

Think they switched from Jongbloed binding to one in Belarus since 2019. So that could be an issue to the quality.

This has been my favorite more premium like KJV. I sold it years ago and missed it since. I did enjoy the quality of the leather it’s stiff compared to others. I’ll have to check out the reformation heritage too. Is the reformation heritage only a study Bible?

I ordered this Bible after watching your review and I’m very happy with it. Given the number of references (200,000) I expected many of the references to be superfluous and vague but they are quite relevant and applicable.
Many reference bibles seem to base their references on specific words (concordance style) but the Westminster includes verses related to the concept or thought, even if the words are different.
I also like how the references appear in the margin beside the verses. I don’t lose my place when chasing references. The superscript letters are super helpful, especially considering the large number of references. Most verses contain multiple reference groups. So what would otherwise be 20 references listed under one verse is instead listed as 4 groups of 5 references.
I’ve found the asterisks for antiquated words to be helpful as in some cases I am not aware that the meaning of the word has changed.
I just wanted to thank you for the review. It was spot on and very helpful. It is my favorite Bible. 👍

Yesterday i randomly walked in to the Bible store to buy a picture Bible for my 6 year old son. As i was checking out the wall. I see Thomas Nelson kjv full color burgundy leather( been waiting for this Bible since covid). I open the box and i see this westminster inside😅. Not sure if it was used or not. As rhe Bible was absolutely in an untouched condition as the ribbons were also tucked inside like the are in a new Bible. Without a second thought i bought this Bible ans also the Thomas nelson kjv full colour. Both for like 4600 INR(55 USD). After I got saved. This is the second most joyous day in my life 😄
I always wanted a good leather Bible that's not big or small not so thin or beefy. This is a perfect carry in the bag daily Bible. This will be my everyday Bible going forward. I'm blessed 😇

I'd have to agree. I've done so much research and gone through several dozen plus bibles and this is #1. The quality isn't top tier, but the text block or layout is what makes this bible a must have. This as your carry bible and the: The Reformation Heritage KJV Study Bible as your home study bible, would make a perfect combo.

I have the large print. If they would do one thing, I wish they'd make the letters a bit fatter/bolder. It's a big font, but the letters are skinny. Compare the large print to the Cambridge Large Print Text/old TBS Family bible which technically have a smaller font, but are arguably more readable because of their boldness vs that of the Westminster large print.

I have that bible too, but I got a conviction about them being protestants, and how they believe in calvanism. I haven't looked at the beginning notes before each chapter, but I stopped using it because it might be calvanistic notes. Baptist aren't reformers though. Martin luther was a harlot baby, not a baptist . He still clinged to false doctrine. But still, I wouldn't say the tbs bibles are bad, its just a conviction that I have . I might even still read it after seeing what they say in their notes.
