Antimicro's layout is pretty intuitive. Morrowind may run as an administrator, and if so, either run Antimicro as on as well, or click the option on the bottom of the window after it's opened.
Morrowind Layout:
Basic Binds:
Left Trigger: E
Right Trigger: Mouse LB
X Button: F
Y Button: R
A Button: SPACE
B Button: Mouse RB
Start Button: ESC
Back Button: J
L Stick Click: CTRL
R Stick Click: TAB
D-pad UP: F1
D-pad DOWN: T
D-pad LEFT: F5
D-pad RIGHT: F6
Advanced Binds:
L Stick:
Click center button, and set preset to WASD. Customize deadzone to something comfortable.
To enable running at maximum movement, click on modifier, then advanced(bottom left), then for the first block select distance and set to 100%. The next box should be bound to SHIFT.
R Stick:
Click center button and use mouse(normal) preset. Customize deadzone and diagonal range for comfort. Acceleration options are located in Mouse Settings
Right Bumper(Favorite Wheel):
Click Advance on select screen(bottom left), click on Set Selector tab, and select 'Select Set 2 While Held.' Exit.
Click on set 2(number 2 at bottom of window). Click on 'sets' and copy from set 1. Click on R Stick and change from Mouse(normal) to none, and Stick mode to 8-way. Bind 1-8 on options. Click on B and Y and bind 9 and 0 respectively.
Left Bumper(Scroll option):
Mimic above but with use 'Select Set 3 While Held' and copy set 1 into set 3. Change D-Pad UP and DOWN to Mouse 4 and 5 respectively.
WARNING: Be wary about pressing set selector buttons(bumpers) at the same time. You can get stuck in set 2 or 3. - Hry
Thank you for making this and sharing... I've been playing morrowind in VR for about a year now with about 400 mods using "Morrorift" and I've been using a keyboard the entire time not being able to see my keyboard because of the headset.... this is much better...
I have no words to describe, world would be a better place if exist more people like you, it workin fine asf 🔥
Did work for you with the new version ?
@@ahmad7amad634 i dont even play this game no more 😂
Awesome dude ,thanks
thanks man
I approve
Hey. Do you know how to enable xbox controller on a "non emulator" version? Trying to play from my GOG library on pc with controller connected trought USB, but the "activate joystick" option only enables the large bumpers and i cant't change the other keys..
thxx
Although X was made for draw and sheathes weapon/hands. But i have to admit that configuration is a lot better than just tweaking the ini files. But can you make it where the Xbox controller logo gone?
Sorry, CZcams marked this comment as spam for whatever reason.
You mean the thumbnail for the video or overlay in the video? The Xbox Controller overlay is just to show the buttons for the sake of the video. It's not part of the layout or emulator. It doesn't appear in game.
Hey, Im using my pro controller and my joysticks doesn't move as smooth as I would like to when looking around in game, like I just move a little bit the joysticks and it translates to a full 360 no scope in game xD why does that happens
Can you see the stick input in Antimicro's settings? If the sticks seem to be registering normally you can customize the acceleration in the mouse options. Make sure the mouse mode is set on cursor rather spring(spring will be uncontrollable if it's enabled, but it should default to cursor), and you can choose the acceleration type. 'Power function' will give you the most control, and you can control the curve with the sensitivity option. Values under 1 will increasing make the curve more precise so play around with it until it feels comfortable.
Otherwise you can lower the in-game sensitivity options as well as the horizontal/vertical speed settings in Antimicro to slow it down further. Hopefully that helps.
Is there a way we could download this profile?

Everything should be labelled. You might want to mess with the acceleration and deadzone in sets 1 and 3.
Thanks homeboy
@@EternalDahaka thanks a lot!
got it installed and your button layout loaded. Testing in windows 10 i can move the cursor with right thumbpad and all buttons work as should testing in notepad. As soon as I load into morrowind the controller stops functioning. Ive gave the program administrator rights, tried running morrowind in windowed mode, tried enabling and disabling gamepad support in game. I just dont get it, controller works, load game and it stops, even if i alt/tab back to desktop the controller nolonger works. I downloaded newest antimicro, I tried to reinstall with the old one you mention but the zip doesnt have an exe file.
Any ideas?
went into options and checked minimize to tray then it worked for about a minute and then must of crashed or something because it disappeared from tray. Seemed like it would work nice but cant get it stable....maybe ill have to buy xpadder or something :(
I'm sorry, the original site doesn't host older versions anymore. I've added links for 2.18.2 in the description.
Recent versions have a bug that makes them crash with 8-way set options(used for the favorites wheel)which might be the reason for the crash.
Otherwise it should work running as administrator. See if this link works for you.
@Robert Johnson
That shouldn't make a difference for this. Antimicro is not part of Steam's own customization and works for non-Steam titles as well.
@Robert Johnson
I don't see how. I own Morrowind on Steam, but Big Picture was disabled for this video, and Antimicro works on every other launcher(Bethesda, Epic, Origin) and independent games as well. Even if they don't have it on Steam, they've had it working for a bit. Antimicro itself seemed to be the issue.
@Robert Johnson
Sorry, I was thinking you were saying Steam was the only way to get the emulator working. Fair enough.
That is a rare issue. I've only seen that happen with DOS/DOSBox titles, and then it didn't crash the software.
Does every controller work (i mean ps controller too)? I see that is a xbox gamepad...
That's just an overlay because that's what I use. Antimicro also supports PS4 controllers. You might need to reset the buttons mapping(Options > Game Controller Mapping) if the defaults are wrong, but otherwise it works just as well. PS3 controllers will probably need Better DS3 or other wrapper(it'll pretend to be an Xbox controller), but once that's set up you can use that too.
You can also replicate this in Steam's customization or other M&KB emulators if you don't want to use Antimicro or it's more convenient.
@@EternalDahaka I am managing to get a ps3 controller to play this. Let's see how it works...
@@EternalDahaka ok, my laptop did recognize the ps3 controller and I can run morrowind by just selecting joystick on, but cannot move the mouse with the stick as you do, I have to do it with the mouse.
@@DanielLopez-zt4ig
You don't need to use joystick on to use this method. The native bindings are a little funky and it won't let you properly map the sticks or triggers. The OpenMW mod has better native controller support, but doesn't offer as much customization as M&KB emulators, but that can be an easier setup too.
If you're using Antimicro and aren't seeing inputs occur, Antimicro probably isn't being run as the Administrator. You can either open the Antimicro by right-clicking the icon and running it as Administrator(you can do that for other programs), or if it's already open there should be a large button at the bottom of the program you can click on to put in it that mode.
Thanks would this work with oblivion?
Oblivion has some partial gamepad support so default binds could overlap. It would work if you could fully disable the native support.
steamcommunity.com/app/22330/discussions/0/613940477902727926/
I haven't tried that myself in Oblivion yet, but editing that ini value should disable controller support so you can freely create a profile.
Does anyone have a video of how to install this?
Anything specific you need help with? You can download the Antimicro link in the description and unzip it(7zip if you don't have anything to do that) and the game profile. You can run Antimicro straight from the folder, and just load the profile file.
@@EternalDahaka hey! thank you! I actually do need some help... I've already installed Antimicro and at the beginning it works well but suddenly it kind of closes or disconnects and turns back to the original contoller settings, do you know what may be happening? I've noticed that the Antimicro version is for 32 bit systems and mine is 64, is there any version for it? Thank you!
@@cor77o
What exactly is happening with it? I don't know if the issue is the version, but using the same version as your OS couldn't hurt. Is it working in game for a while, or does it stop once the game is started. You need to run it in administrator to work with Morrowind. Versions after 2.18 crash if using 8-way stick options.
@@EternalDahaka I think it is because I'm using a later version. Just send you the request to download the 2.18. Thank you!!
