@@allisonjuno7654 vr is virtual reality, basically in a different environment while ar is real life besides the 3d graphics that appear. So if you have the bots at ar, then it's from the same location you placed them, bot an entirely different location, unless when in vr, you see a different environment as the arena, like a volcano area, on a ship, etc. when you see as the bot (think of the arenas as cosmetics, they do nothing to you but look cool)

Loose a screw, have to buy another remote. Sounds like when I use to buy rc helicopters and a 10 cent piece breaks and shop tells me to buy another helicopter they don't sell the plastic piece individual
He didn't just lose a screw, he damaged some internal components too, if he dead spin it 360° it probably snapped a cable

They should give it cameras for the next version and have it pair with an oculus quest for first person robot combat and give more of that mecha feel.
Mixed it with VR add the health bar and staff would be awesome

We all know kids often get carried away and lose care for delicate stuff, possibly unintentionally breaking it while having fun, most of us did it at some point, it's pretty clear to me that that's what he was saying

This sounded way cooler then actually implemented. Also looked awkward when you were using the controller strapped to your waist.
The armor took like an hour to put on.
That does sound like it's made more complicated by purpose. For me, if i ever buy this, it's likely the biggest joy. Outfitting it with the factory armor, before eventually making all the parts myself. Getting to build it for an extended period of time may even be a thing to get up the hype for building the own parts. Can't imagine this is only marketed as a toy for kids. Tinkerers are such a big market.

the 1st generation ganker robot came out on 2015. I'm happy that Id waited now that its more advanced. I can't wait to get one. Its $700 on amazon. Hopefully, I can find one with a lower price.
We need a bigger version of this and it has cameras for eyes that can be used real time using a VR headset or a specialised headset for it

This looks like something that would benefit from using a VR headset like Oculus, Vive, or Index and using Inverse Kinematics, controlling the arms.
It does like like something they want to attempt to do for future releases or as an upgrade.

It costs $499, which Is not bad since you get a controller. There is an alternative version that costs $199, but it lacks some of the functions.
Logically Gen 4 or 5 will be with VR streaming, i don't think i will be able to withstand that 🤪
Now imagine making the robot 50 ft tall. Making the sensors that are shown as big as an adult with addition of leg sensors to read leg movement. Adding a cockpit with an Omnidirectional treadmill and a headset that’s hooked up to external head cameras on the bot. You now have gundams. Your welcome.
Robots arent close to sophisticated enough to stand like us and balance in many directions, especially in quick movements. Try doing the opposite. Do this many legged design. Make it have a huge weigbt capacity. Make it a fortress that fights back. Sometimes you should ekbrace what is already there and evolve it bit by bit to make it strong, not scrap it entirely and do something else
They need to make Gundams like this!

The controllers ought to be worn on the operators arms. The movement could be controlled with head movements.

Using a computer and a vr headset implementation would solve this.
There is a game called the iotta project where you control a mech from the inside and I imagine that but it is connected to a camera in a real life robot and the movements are in sinc

What would be cool is being able personally customize the robot to the way you like for example you could have the armor design be thee suit from doom or it could be the fallout mech suit and so much more you could also be able to design the weapon. Like and possibly share this to the designers of the battle bot
