Like you can’t use it for resource gathering or just going and looting places.. but for moving and building it’s fine. Then once you get shulkers in the future then you could use the backpacks as intended as well.

Have you considered making minecart tracks to your mega builds? Then you could put all your supplies into minecart chests and ship them there. Kinda simulate the transportation process that you'd normally have to go through to build something that massive. It also makes the location of each build matter even more. And lengthens the process. Idk just an idea to toss around:) loving the series. Notifications on!
If you are on the fence about the backpack mods, if you wanna keep with the same vanilla vibe of the donkeys/mules you could do a caravan of llamas. Almost no one ever uses them, but moving huge amounts of items before you get shulkers is their entire purpose in the game lol. I would say maybe also get an unbreakable lead mod to make it a bit less annoying
i think everyone needed a channel to watch with a slower style of gameplay, no crazy mods with ridiculous end game quests or the fast paced 100 days/ hardcore series. suggestion tho, idk how you feel about going live on youtube when you and darman grind resources. feel like it would be great content and even for a stream to have on as a play along, food for thought
A few answers to questions: YES, stream resource-gathering, and YES have Darman edit it into an episode. Even if it's a "_.5 episode". For the outer edges of the lower courtyard, a short wall would work well. Maybe something where you have easy access to the top from inside? For the "eyes" of the build, why not smaller fountains? Maybe ponds? It'd be fun to add "pupils". Love the series and how the build is turning out! Keep up the good work!
I think not using backpacks is a significantly better way to reinforce the need to build infrastructure. You can use cart lines or get some camels or mules to drag around on a wide road. Maybe wait until the builds require more than just 1 inventory of Shulker boxes to add the backpacks. Afterall, you did say you wanted to show the progression down
i REALLY love the idea of having the tree be massive and having giant vines and leaves and stuff come down around the courtyard where you can hang lanterns from the vines!! plus that way the sky isn’t completely open like you said. i think having the tree be the focal point of the courtyard would be great, maybe it could be like a special magic tree :)

About the backpack thing, while it would be much more efficient, it also kind of removes meaning for the mule, not fully, but the building part, and most of the content you're most likely to leave in is the building. About naming the mule Clouds is a really good one and rolls off the tung better, You could also name him Darman or smth, or call us Darmans since Darman sudgests it so much throughout the episodes lol Edit: Clouds is #1 imo out of the ideas you have
Absolutely love the series. Here's a suggestion - since you said you won't be filling up the mega builds inside, you could make use of the empty space (farms below this villager trading hall for example; they don't have to be automatic (entirely up to your preference), you could just make them for the "aesthetic"; same principle later on with other builds, you could utilize the empty space for something related to the build so it can seem more functional too - be it secret libraries, tunnels, mines, roller coasters since we know how much you love those, you get the idea).
In my opinion, stopping the main hardcore world and making a brand new one, would be a better option than continuing it. If there’s already issues, I don’t really see a reason to continue it. Plus I never really watched the main hardcore series anyways. I’d love to see a new one where everything is updated and won’t have issues. I love the series so far, and I’m excited to see more of the “on a raft” series. I love the lucky block series and the better Minecraft series as well, but I understand if you wouldn’t want to continue those. Love your videos! 😊

I think in you can modify what the world allows Endermen to pick up, so if you update you can go into that yourself and make it something you'll never use and that won't be important or exposed in a way Endmen can grab them.
Setting up Alleys for mega terraforming is must for me. Just set up a bunch of collection zones and dig to your hearts content without worrying about your inventory filling up or any blocks despawning on you. I've destroyed entire biomes for resources with my army of Alleys. Even better if you set up chunk loaders so your Alleys continue to work (if you have a lot of blocks on the ground) while you ferry everything back to homebase. Also if your still having iron farm problems i recommend finding your spawn chunks and building the farm there so it will work without you being there.

If you are going to install the backpack mod, I recommend Sophisticated Backpacks because you can upgrade it and also create a module that allows you to stack several stacks of the same item in one place in your inventory.

Something to fill up the hollow bases. Would’ve been perfect under this trading hall. I’m thinking of London and Italy where whole new towns were built on top of others.
You did a very good job with the lower courtyard. I really like it. And I have three suggestions for it. You could directly bring the recourses to the build instead of your base to save time. The other thing is that you said you wanted to build a fountain in the middle of the lower courtyard. Maybe you could build two fountains on the semi circles of the upper courtyard. That could look very cool. Than you could connect the vines you wanted to build hanging from the tree to the walls or even to the fountain of the upper courtyard. And you could use those two blocks high rose bushes as vegetation on the grass patches. That would also look nice I think.
Personally Skyes I like how it is because I just watch this in class and it’s like a movie broken in episodes I guess a live would be cool but personally I like how it is right now

For your question about making videos/episodes collecting materials for builds, you can kinda do a “.5 method”. Like if you’re ONLY collecting materials and there’s pretty much no progress at all in the world in terms of building or doing other survival things you can just add a .5 into the number. For example: This is episode 5, so if the next episode is JUST collecting materials you can just number it as “5.5” so if people don’t want to watch the “boring” stuff they can see it’s just a material collecting episode. Streams sound great too! Just a suggestion I don’t know if this sounds dumb💀

Skyes, it's better to craft the stone bricks in the crafting table, you can do 4 stacks at a time instead of 1 in the stonecutter. Also it would look really nice if you used glowing vines for the vegetation zones in the courtyard
Also leather workers you know the cauldron guys sell saddles. And your turtles you BARROWED will not breed for you because they need their home beach so you will need to barrow eggs from the wild to bring home and be born at your base to breed them for eggs for farms and things
hey skes just a suggestion, when you extended the brick walls down into the water you should've added mossy brick stones to show that maybe it got infected with algae or sea grass grew over it... hope it helps!!!

With these massive structures I keep thinking you should build one over a village and then have like an “archaeological” platform of viewing the ancient village. Something to fill up the hollow bases. Would’ve been perfect under this trading hall. I’m thinking of London and Italy where whole new towns were built on top of others.
You did a very good job with the lower courtyard. I really like it. And I have three suggestions for it. You could directly bring the recourses to the build instead of your base to save time. The other thing is that you said you wanted to build a fountain in the middle of the lower courtyard. Maybe you could build two fountains on the semi circles of the upper courtyard. That could look very cool. Than you could connect the vines you wanted to build hanging from the tree to the walls or even to the fountain of the upper courtyard. And you could use those two blocks high rose bushes as vegetation on the grass patches. That would also look nice I think.

For your question about making videos/episodes collecting materials for builds, you can kinda do a “.5 method”. Like if you’re ONLY collecting materials and there’s pretty much no progress at all in the world in terms of building or doing other survival things you can just add a .5 into the number.
For example: This is episode 5, so if the next episode is JUST collecting materials you can just number it as “5.5” so if people don’t want to watch the “boring” stuff they can see it’s just a material collecting episode.

Skyes, it's better to craft the stone bricks in the crafting table, you can do 4 stacks at a time instead of 1 in the stonecutter.
Also it would look really nice if you used glowing vines for the vegetation zones in the courtyard

Instead of putting light blocks under gry carpet you can put them under slabs and stairs and the light will still shine through. Love the series🙃

Also leather workers you know the cauldron guys sell saddles. And your turtles you BARROWED will not breed for you because they need their home beach so you will need to barrow eggs from the wild to bring home and be born at your base to breed them for eggs for farms and things

hey skes just a suggestion, when you extended the brick walls down into the water you should've added mossy brick stones to show that maybe it got infected with algae or sea grass grew over it... hope it helps!!!

Built my first hardcore ugly mob farm waaaaay out at sea. It’s destroyed now I’m over 3k days in world- but spawn rates at sea were great! And didn’t have to look at it either 👍🏻
