Genius idea and it looks very pretty. And I adore the fact that the lace is handsewn these days one does not see to many videos on hand sewing garments, thank you. This is super helpful for those of us who do not own a sewing machine.
One can even use fabric to lengthen a dress or skirt too. The only difference is the fabric needs to be the same type of fabric (cotton with cotton, etc.) and cut the fabric with pinking shears, so the fabric has clean edges and does not need to be hemmed.
