Bikini Kill was formed after one of its members, Kathi, watched Hole live and wrote Courtney a letter asking for advice on how to form a band in 1990. There's a 1991 interview that shows Love supporting the band, and interviews with the Melody Maker where she stated she suported the riot grrrl scene in 1992. Then something hapenned in 1993 and she has hated them since. I think it has to do with BK members siding with Calvin and not the Cobains when they sued because his girlfriend formed a band called Courtney Love and he was releasing her music and profiting off using Love's name. He also signed Kurt's fling and made her move to Olympia in 1993. Calvin sued back over alleged threats. It was a war: Kurt and Courtney against Calvin and anyone who supported him.

@@Trash_Parade no, Love was never in BK. She was in Faith No More and also was in a band with Babes in Toyland and L7 members in 1985. As for the girl with the most cake, the song is about finding out that Kurt was sleeping with two women other than her early on in their relationship, so I guess that she felt she was sharing her cake with others and wanted him all for her. She's made allusions to the French saying "let them eat cake" in the past, so maybe that's the origin of it. I don't think anyone but Courtney can answer your Doll Parts question tbh

When it came to the whole Kurt sit yes I didn't like her...When it comes to Hole I still listen to Live Throu This, ill always love her. I'll never forget when she interrupted the Madonna interview at MTV awards...friggin classic! Hence, today where I stand, I don't listen to any Nirvana, I change the channel, etc. But I lived through his death making them over rated to me today.
I know she got dragged so bad for interrupting Madge, but I loved seeing Madonna get metaphorically knocked off her pedestal (while she was actually sitting on one) by someone that had that audacity! I love it! We still love Madonna, but someone needs to bring her back down to Earth every once in a while! Glad Courtney was the one to do it!
I loved Nirvana, still have their CDs and I loved Hole and still have Live through this CD and "Yes" Courtney was given so much crap when dating and then marrying Kurt Cobain. But at the moment I am nearly finished reading "Heavier than Heaven" biography of Kurts life and it has been the hardest and saddest book I have read. To me there is evidence that is really obvious that Kurt Cobain didn't commit suicide and one is that Courtney knew the Coroner who pronounced suicide for Kurts death and the same coroner pronounced Kristen Pfaffs death as suicide by overdose just by seeing drug paraphonalia on the bathroom floor but no toxicology reports were done. There is so much more that is suspicious and the same Coroner has stood in the way of Kurts cause of death being reinvestigated but there is hope as said Coroner is retiring this year so hopefully there will be a new investigation as Courtney may not have killed Kurt and he may have committed suicide but maybe she organised him to be murdered and also why were no fingerprints taken from the supposed rifle Kurt shot himself with? And why a rifle almost impossible to kill yourself with when he could have gotten and had had a pistol? And is it me or one thing I have noticed that most of Holes "Live through this" album sounds very much like Kurt Cobains compositions of song writing and even the music?? I just think there needs to be more investigation as things don't add up. Just like Marilyn Munroes supposed overdose - never believe that for a minute, she needed to be removed as knew too much about The Kennedy Men and was a liability.

On the contrary, he never booked Hole and the rumor started because the coroner's ex was Courtney Miller, who worked for The Rocket. He died in 2001, so he's not retiring... Besides, there were FOUR prints lifted from the shotgvn and many Live Through This songs were performed live BEFORE Kurt and Courtney dated.

There was a lot of unreleased info, including photos, so I won't link any of that here, because I don't recommend perusing images (forever burned into my eyes and can't unsee after clicking on something on accident). But it's out there if you want to look into any of the new info that came out. It definitely seems like what they reported happened, so I agree with you. It's crazy how rumors like that can blow up into huge conspiracies.
