Why Classical singing classes puts emphasis on Kharaj Riyaz? As here are some key benefits of Kharaj that totally makes it worth for that hard exhausting practice?
1. Kharaj helps in developing clear ‘Base’ in your voice
Over the line, you’ve heard many singers with so much flawless and developed base and wondered why I don’t have this kind of uniqueness in my voice.
Well now you know, as it is one of the major benefit of this Riyaz and one of the true assets which shows the patience and struggle done over years of practice. Something which is always told in Classical singing classes.
2. Kharaj brings out ‘Echo’ in your voice
Doing Riyaz of Kharaj over and over tweaks your vocal anatomy in being more susceptible with the frequency of the harmonium’s scale and soon after that you start to feel the little echo in the swaras of mandra saptak.

The best riyaz ever... I'm from Shia muslim family and I'm a professional noha khuwan. I didn't get time to riyaz properly and somehow there was no guidelines as well. But this guru and this channel is fantastic. Since 2 days I'm doing kharaj riyaz from this video and got fabulous results. Bas ik sawal hai k isko jab time tab kar sakte hain ya morning zaroori hai?

There is no practice of taar saptak...one thing you can do, you can set higher pitch and practice paltas. Like if you sing generally in c#, you should start practicing alankars and paltas from F. This is how you can achieve good grip on higher notes. And do it after afternoon only....it's not advisable to do in the morning. Thank you
