Comment Which Disney Princess or Fairytale Character you would like to see next! I will be using some of your suggestions in my next video!
I would like to see what if disney adapted the tale of the Volcanoes , it is an aztec fairy tale popular in Mexico that have a princess a prince and in some versions a villain ( elements you may expect in any Disney princess movie)
I'd love to see Princess Eilonwy from The Black Cauldron is the princess I'd like to see explored more. Either as a sequel to book series or even a reboot (animated).
She is oft forgotten as a Disney Princess.
How about some of the cancelled films if they made like Chanticleer, Hiawatha, It's a Small World, Rainbow Road to Oz, and King of the Elves for some examples.
@@wayIess the ai art is mine 😊
Aida is another almost-princess - Disney has an Aida Broadway musical and even had concept art for an animated film in the 90s but didn't go through with it. Aida, hailing from ancient Nubia, would have been the first African/Black Disney princess (before Tiana from Princess and the Frog).
Most recent cancelled prince was ⭐️
Who?
@@DisneyDudeAndDudette It was Starboy who was meant to be Asha's love interest in Wish
A mute prince inspired by Peter Pan would've been awesome.
@@OpticalSorcererThat would’ve been so cute.
Aster really deserved more!!!! Although him being a “mute Peter Pan” doesn’t really resonate with me and a lot of people. So giving him a voice would make sense if he and Asha were gonna fall in love with each other would differentiate him from being a sort of “Backwards Ariel”
I’d also like to see him open-up to Asha about him wanting to be human and at the end of the movie he gets his wish and turns into a human
I'm sorry, whenever someone mentions Odette. All I can think of is that one scene "You should write a book. How to offend a woman in five syllables or less."
That scene is comedy gold! 🤣
rogers
I loved that one as a kid!
Yes! I'm actually glad Disney didn't do it. I wouldn't have wanted to miss this version
It was a fun movie, honestly! Despite it's flaws
Would have been interesting to see Disney have a Japanese princess. The Tale of Princess Kagoya or the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter from Japan would have been on par like Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King.
There's an idea. Maybe even an Irish princess, and/or a Greek princess who would be much more pretty than Megara.
Have you seen the studio Ghibli movie? Recommend 👍
There’s other Japanese folktales that has female leads or princesses that could be adapted for a Disney animated film, apparently the late Studio Ghibli director Isao Takahato already adapted that tale as an animated film.
@@sleepypanda9374 Which one? What's the name of the movie?
That also would have made sense because Disney is a clear influence on anime and manga.
Ellonwy from The Black Cauldron is pretty close to basically being a cancelled Disney princess.😂
Lol, I know. I can't help wanting her back though.
Are you nuts?! SHE IS A PRINCESS WHEN SHE ANNOUNCES HERSELF TO TARAN!!!
She is a freaking princess, her personality makes her a great character/foil for Taran -but she has her own story as well. They really missed the boat by not properly adapting The Chronicles of Prydain. The main storyline is evocative of King Arthur but all of the disputed narratives surrounding him could be avoided. The supporting characters would have been interesting in animated form. And it’s all different enough to be a classic on its own.
Maybe that’s what they couldn’t deal with- a fairy tale with a proper plot and story that was not already known to all audiences. Now, I don’t know what the situation is with the rights, but Disney could make a pretty great few movies with the story now! They won’t, of course. 🙄
@@sarahprice659 Sorry. I probably didn't write that clearly. Ellonwy from The Black Cauldron *Is* a princess who met Taran.
Yes they literally cancelled her and ignore her existence
Modern animation will NEVER look as beautiful as the art that was classic old fashioned animation
Kingdom of the Sun, Hiawatha, Gigantic, and Swan Lake should definitely be Disney's next priorities.
I know! Disney needs some new original content
@@DisneyDudeAndDudette Not sure what you mean since pretty much all their content is original these days.
@@OpticalSorcerer I mean instead of making more reboots
@@DisneyDudeAndDudette I'm more concerned with their animated department. Their live-action original films are hit or miss, so I see why (from a marketing POV) they stick to remakes. It's a shame, since I'd love original live-action PG-13 fantasy musicals from Disney if they had the right team of writers.
@@OpticalSorcerer I just want them to continue chronicles or Narnia
Honestly, now that Natives are in the spotlight like never before I would love another Native Disney princess. I think it's time.
Same, I would also like to see an African, Japanese and Viking princesses as well which would be cool
@@ummokay2611 ooohhh those are good! Especially a Viking one!
A Disney princess film set in the ancient Pueblo (Anasazi) civilization at Chaco Canyon or Mesa Verde would be amazing. Something set in ancient Mesoamerica would be great too.
Nah, personally I feel like they would do the same they did for Pocahontas (which is good but also bad). Watching Natives call Colonizers Savages makes me laugh every time
I would also love to see a Slavic princess.
A real African princess in an African setting would be very cool or something related to Australia? Hope they work on such things ...
Yes to both! I totally forgot about an Australian princess! That would be SO COOL!
@@DisneyDudeAndDudettean Australian woman recently became queen of Denmark and she's the first Australian born Queen
Wish should have taken place in North Africa (Like I used to hypothesized), we never had an actual African Disney princess.
I thought it was a shame that the first and only darker skinned tone princess had to be in an altered European Fairy tale instead of using an African story.
When you said that, I immediately thought of one of my fav stories as a kid (had to look it up to get the spelling right)- Mafuro's Beautiful Daughters. That would have been perfect!
I would love to see those cancelled princesses come to life
I KNOW!!!! It would be really cool!
That would be awesome!!
Reminds me of the rejected princesses project...❤
@@psychedelicyeti6053 are you talking about the abandoned Disney Princess academy?
I love Disney. But the swan princess was an excellent film. For its time, and I don't think Disney could have done it better. Later on it fell apart, but I loved the voice actress in this and Far longer then forever was my let it go. The art work was stunning and the animation for the transformation is still on of my favorites. The side characters were pretty interesting too.
Yes! Swan princess is a classic!
1994 was a rough year since I lost my grandma that year, and even though I do think Lion King is technically the better movie, I'll still pick Swan Princess over it if I had to pick between the 2. I memorized the whole movie, songs included.
100% agree. Disney would not have done Wizard of Oz better either. That movie is perfect.
It was one of my favourite films as a kid, I actually wore out the tape and my parents could sing along with the songs.
I'd want to see another Celtic themed Princess. Except Irish instead of Scottish. Since Brave is Scottish, I'm craving for Irish Disney Princess.
And maybe Mesoamerican as well?
Oh yessss! I want an Italian princess & an Irish princess
@@DisneyDudeAndDudette maybe either something completely original or based on a book.
I'd like to see an Irish princess too. Maybe even a Japanese princess, and/or a Greek princess who'd be much more pretty than Megara.
A Welsh princess would be good. 👍
@@dreamguardian8320 Does Meg even count as a princess? Disney Hercules essentially abdicated to be with her, he gave up his immortality and place on Olympus to be with Meg--rather than Meg gaining immortality/godship to be with Hercules. Do you count as a princess when your prince gives up being a prince?
I want more brown-skinned princesses with beautiful gowns so I can feel pretty on Halloween
YESSS!!!!!
the swan princess would be probably nice for this
yeah they could even do like holiday princesses i know nightmare before Christmas is by disney but they could have done a Halloween princess or a Christmas one or seasonal princess there is so many different types they could have come up with but yes I'd like to see more dark skinned princesses too i mean look at adventure time they had so many different princesses
I agree, but please make them original chars and don't take older ones and race swap them.
@@chaliceflame1314 why dont you guys just ignore the movies lmao, i dont care about race swapping, i have seen fanart of the princesses being a different race and it looks way better and more interesting than the live action movies, the actual issue here is their writing is ass and they think calling everything "girl boss" makes it progressive, wich to me sounds like they make fun of this way of thinking and its just a joke, like a caricature of feminism
A Disney "Wizard of Oz" would have been iconic.
Did you know that the Wizard of Oz book rights was originally bought for Shirley Temple? Her studio decided not to let her work for the other and make The Bluebird with her to compete it Wizard of Oz... Oz clearly won.
Disney gave us a Wizard of Oz live action in 1985.
It was Return to Oz & it was both beautiful & terrifying.
The cancelled version of Goldilocks looks a little like Alice.
Exactly!
With terrible, terrible AI and host saying ‘here is concept art to show what it would have looked like’ rather than ‘what I think it would look like’ yucky
@@bigred8432are you trying to say the art is Ai because there is a video on youtube of the art being made
@@aloraatlas5453 where????
I wish Disney would make movies based on these classic fairytales and stories again.
The cancelled version of Minihaha looks a every bit like Tiger Lily, Nakoma, and Pocahontas.
Actually when Disney worked on darker tales, they attempted to do Wild Swans (princess Eloise) but it was too complicated to have 2nd non speaking princess (as that place already went to Ariel)
So they went for Hunchback of Notre Dame
Its such a shame still... I wish we got Wild Swans instead of Resuers Down Under
I was thinking what Goldilocks story could even be… then I thought a classic Disney plot line would be Goldilocks stumbles upon “abandoned” house in which there was a curse that turned the family that lived there into bears and it would be up to gold to change/break the curse someway somehow…
Very beauty and the beast meets brave
THAT IS BRILLIANT!!!! 😱😱🤯🤯
Actually, there's an early Norse version of the Goldilocks story, "Riddaren i Bjødnahame," where the bears are three princes who don bearskins. It has a lot of elements with Snow White and East of the Sun and West of the Moon.
@@aceaceron1026 that’s interesting 🤔 I didn’t know that
That would be a great movie!!
I like the first concept idea for Odette. Very distinct.
I'd love to see Disney's Hansel and Gretel. The Gingerbread House witch is one of the most iconic fairy tale villains. It's a shame she was never elevated into the realm of classic Disney villains.
I'd also have loved to have seen what a Disney "Redwall" film would have been like.
Well, there was the short "Babes in the Woods".
I’m still surprised Disney hasn’t done a full movie on Hansel & Gretel
Agree. We need an epic Redwall movie.
That could be a good movie, at least Pixar could take it and see how interesting the animation will do.
@@Embargoman A Redwall movie made by Pixar could be epic and great.
I watched Babes in Toyland so many times as a kid. It always flew under the radar despite a cast of stars.
4:05 Bro I forgot what early Barbie movie animation looks like, that scared me 💀
Hahahah I know the animation was a little off
Goldilocks: Her head is way too small for her body and she looks far too much like Alice, so no.
2nd princess: No.
Odette: No.
Doroty: They already did a Wizard of Oz sequal called Return to Oz in the 1980s.
Little Minnehaha
I agree.
Also, first two should be more childlike, than adult.
Odette was alright, not convinced by Dorothy.
They're all beautiful, just I don't see them in the role.
It's AI, what do you expect?
I'd like to make 2 suggestions, 1st- I think that Disney should make the animated movie "PRINCESS ACADEMY", & 2nd, I think they should also make a new animated movie called "THE 12 DANCING PRINCESSES". Now that would be exciting to watch. 🧚♀💃🏰🏫❤🎬🎞🎥🎨🖌🖊
Yes! I made a video about the princess academy!
I would LOVE to see Disney's take on "The Twelve Dancing Princesses."
Heck yes!!
Lol, still no Ancient Egyptian Disney Princesses? *I wantta Nitocris Movie*
Ooohh never thought about that 🤔 An Egyptian princess would definitely be cool
My great aunt's name is Nitocris ☺️
@@LauraMelle1995 Was she named after Nitocris?
@kingtut3152 Yep, I'm Egyptian 😊 it's not a common name though, she's the only one I know with that name. My great grandfather had an ancient Egyptian theme to the naming of his children 😄 Ramses, Isis, Nitocris, and, my favourite name of them all, Lotus 😄
@@LauraMelle1995 Do you know what percentage you are Egyptian?
They should bring those cancelled projects out at least it isnt a remake 😂
True!
Fr
Would really love a snow white and rose red Disney film.
Yes! I agree!
Fav fairytale for sure, I would have loved that. Would need to change Snow White's name to avoid confusion though.
Disney DID eventually make the live action film ‘Return to Oz’…I’m not so sure Walt himself would approve of that film tho. 😅 the 80s were honestly such an odd time for Disney movies. I was lucky enough to have been born in 1991, at the dawn of the ‘Disney Renaissance Era’ and got to grow up with masterpieces like ‘Mulan’, ‘Aladdin’, and ‘Tarzan’ as they were coming out. 😊
The director Walter Murch was good friends with George Lucas and apparently Disney tried to can murch in production. Lucas went to bat to keep him and im glad cause this dark movie was a staple of my childhood and the books were creepy so it fits!
I loved Return to Oz!
Disney had also planned a Rapunzel movie after Snow White but nothing really came of it, no concept or anything, supposedly they had a hard time coming up with a satisfying story, especially one centered aroumd being stuck in a tower for majority of the film. Im saying this really because atleast the Goldilocks one can very well become a future movie, aslong as they stay away from blonde and blue dress which i imagine is gonna be difficult because thats her design
As Minnehaha and Hiawatha are both legends from my home state of Minnesota that got popularized by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s “The Song of Hiawatha,” I gotta admit to being curious
I know you said Goldilocks is a blend of Alice & Snow White, but I can't help seeing shades of Elwony from 'The Black Cauldron'...
Good Point!
Would looooove another native movie!! I love Pocahontas and Brother Bear so much! 💖💖
Definitely!!
I for one like Brother Bear more.
Your princesses look so much better than these new bulb eyes creatures. Thank you. Could you please design the goose girl and the prince from Engelbert Humperdinck's Königskinder. Always thought, it would be a great Disney movie.
Thank you so much! I worked hard on them!
i kinda gave up after rapunzel, i like tiana but this wierd style is getting boring with the big eyes lmao
@@DisneyDudeAndDudette I love your elegant designs! This is Disney! Do you consider to do the goosegirl, prince, fiddler and witch for the opera Königskinder/Royal children? It is such a beautiful, yet sad story. I think the goose girl should be a little bit like Aurora/Audrey Hepburn with flowers in her hair.
This production here is too modernized. It is set in 1920 and not in the Middle Ages🙄. Nevertheless the music is haunting and the acting quite good:
czcams.com/video/ExJ1Y3PFx5o/video.htmlsi=ACsh-mTW4s79tYr1
It would've been nice to see a British or African princess😔😫
I have another video coming out Thursday with concept art and story for an African Princess
The cancelled Disney version of Odette looks every bit like the Barbie version and the RichCrest version.
True
I liked the brunette version of Odette
I remember when I wanted to be a Disney animator. I had an idea for a movie based off the Wild Swans by Hans Christian Andersen.
I wanted to be a Disney Animator too! I actually got to paint with the Disney Animator who worked on the little mermaid 🧜🏻♀️
@@DisneyDudeAndDudette lucky you. I actually met Jodi Benson (the voice of Ariel) I promised her that I would do it for her. Unfortunately, my mother dashed my dreams as I was starting my first college course. She told me that I was unrealistic. I never recovered since. Jodi is supposed to be coming back to town for a convention. How do I look her in the eyes knowing that I failed her.
All of them look better than the garbage Disney is pumping out these days.
Your concept art for Minehaha (sp) resembles the Land-O-Lakes butter mascot.
Yes and they got rid of her, too.
Still waiting for a Disney swan lake...they should ditch all these live action films and do an snimated swan princess! We need a another odette. By the way the 90s swan princess is fantastic still a favorite.
Yessss! I totally agree!!!!
Disney did do a live action movie Return to Oz in 1985. Kind of nightmare inducing but I like it
Idk if it would've been better but I love the swan princess the way it was made.
2:12 This Goldilocks looks so tall and athletic, nearly the level of a Dutch or Scandinavian teenage girl preparing for the Olympics!
Personally, I wish Disney did Les Miserables, that Victor Hugo book seems more like something Disney would adapt rather than Hunchback.
That would have been very interesting 🤔
I think Disney chose to adapt Hunchback as a response to the Claude-Michel Schönberg Les Mis musical. Where it was a different Victor Hugo book so it was similar enough, but not the same story as it would have just been compared to that.
The blonde Odette looks breathtaking.
The Wizard of Oz will explain why the wicked witch features so much in Once Upon a Time. I could see where all the other characters came from because of the Disney projects, but not her.
Once upon a time was not made by Disney, they were bought for streaming
@@pixiepalasmr6881 It originally aired on ABC, which was created as a subsidiary of the Walt Disney Company. Disney has always had the rights to it.
Why didn’t they just make a Disney Princess Enchanted Tales series on Disney Channel? Instead they release two movies, and then nothing else after that. They just give up halfway through.
Oooohhh that would have been cool!
Yennenga is a cool warrior princess in Mossi mythology (modern-day Burkina Faso) about this bad @$$ princess who just wants to find a nice man to settle down with and start a family with. But her father doesn't want to let his best warrior to marry. I can see her story fitting in disney nicely as she would be the first-ever African princess and be the perfect example of how to write a strong female character that's a good role model for children. It's gold just waiting to happen but they instead made a mermaid black to pander to the people.
Swan Princess was supposed to get replaced by something like this? I thought replacing trash with trash was bad?
I like Swan Princess the way it is. The comedy is also Gold. I don't know how Disney would have written it but what we have is Gold. LEAVE IT LIKE THAT !!!!
Hugs and Kisses
I agree that movie is GOLD! Such a classic!
The problem is with Disney going full on DEI woke, there won’t be another Caucasian Princess for a long, long time.
And Princess Minnehaha would only offend the folks who are offended by Pocahontas.
Since there's been a couple already, I don't think it's a problem to add more diversity . As long as that diversity does not come from race swapping the previous ones.
I loathe race swapped characters/movies.
Actually it wasn't her singing skills it's that they weren't able to trade two actors that Shirley's Studio wanted in exchange for Shirley
Don Bluth's princesses! ❤ Odette, Thumbelina and Anastasia
Oh yeah I forgot about Anastasia
The swan princess is perfect, I’m glad it ended up as it did actually
Agreed! It is one of the best animated movies ever!!!
Ok The Swan Princess was perfect I'm glad Disney didn't get their paws on it on this one 😂. Swan 🦢 Princess was a big favorite in our house growing up ❤
true! It is such a classic! :)
No one at Disney can draw like that anymore. Even Tiana is a Black Belle, and Prince Naveen a Latin Aladdin.
Not At ALL
I’m hoping Walt Disney Animation Studios could make a animated film of The Wild Swans
Minnehaha, and Hiawatha are really well known names in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Hiawatha is a neighborhood, and an avenue, and Minnehaha is a park, and a street, and a waterfall all within minneapolis. It's so cool to me that even watching youtube, I'm still reminded of our lands history.
Disney did a live-action squeal of the Wizard of Oz in the 1980s Return to Oz.
I want to see a Filipino Disney princess 😁
YES!!!!
Um, NONE of these characters were EVER princesses!!! That is probably why they never WERE made into Disney movies🤷♂️
I am not sad about Disney not getting the rights to Swan Princess or Wizard of OZ. Those are both amazing films without Disney.
I would like to have seen Odette, I enjoyed the Swan Princess.
I'd love to see more in this series! Even if it's just imagining other cartoons as Disney Princesses (ie what if the simpsons was created by disney, 4 historical figures reimagined into disney princesses & writing out their film plot!)
Thanks! I am planning on making a part 2 very soon! Stay tuned 😁
Interesting and ironic that “babes in toy land” incorporates elements of the wizard of oz because ray bolger, who played the scarecrow in oz, was the bad guy in babes in toy land.
I used to have this classic Disney record called Tubby the Tuba with Annette Funicello narrating the story, and I would have loved to see that as a full movie.
I'd be curious to see if Disney would make The Twelve Dancing Princesses into a film. It was one of my favourite stories as a kid.
It would be cool if they did!
Disney actually made FIVE of those Oz records, at least. The one you showed is the 78 (I think) and they also for that did versions of The Scarecrow of Oz, The Tin Woodman of Oz, and The Cowardly Lion of Oz (though all of them deviated a LOT from the actual books, more so as you go down the list, the Cowardly Lion one had NOTHING to do with the books). They then re-did the Wizard as a 45 with new illustrations for another set (and you see that one a lot).
In some ways, the pictures with those give you a clue as to where they might have gone with Dorothy had they done it. The main problem with the design you showed is the one from the MGM movie, Dorothy is way too old (she's supposed to be about eight to ten in the books). That rainbow special gives a clue as to where they might have gone, older than eight to ten, but younger than Garland's fifteen or so. Specifically in the Scarecrow, which has a group pic of many Oz citizens, it looks like they might have actually planned to hand the role over to Haley Mills (who they were already using a lot), since their drawing has a very Pollyanna like look to it.
www.amazon.com/Scarecrow-Oz-Ray-Bolger-Based/dp/B0085BC2RU
All though it would be interesting to see some of these Disney princesses
I think odet looks better the way she is now
I know you didn't diss Swan Princess. That movie was 🔥.
Hollywood should stop remaking. Unless it's live action. But disney should rest for awhile making live action. Because they're horrible at marketing. They can't shut the critics.
I hear you, they should just go back to good old 2D hand-drawn animation.
Dorothy looks a lot like an animated version of Elizabeth Taylor. Ironic, if you think about the term "friend of Dorothy", in which Taylor was 'Dorothy'.
Disney should either do a movie about a princess who's father is the dark lord and is just flat unfazed by a lot of evil stuff while still fitting the classic Disney mold or one where the Princess is the true villain in the end and is just a master galighter and manipulator.
Goldie and Bear is really cute I'm glad the others didn't work out
With the swan lake concept art I would use the first 1 not as Odette but as odille rothbarts daughter concept art number 2 I see as Odette
Good point
Originally Dorothy are blonde or dark blonde in the book.
@Flyboy1953 Must be colored.
i watched princess swan for the first as an adult i had never seen it as a kid and boy was it so bad like i couldn’t even appreciate any aspect of it other than the animation
When was the last time Disney actually made an "original cartoon"? Everything Disney /Hollywood makes are either "live-action," reboots, soft reboots, or poorly written extensions of long-dead trilogies. Worse yet, they are poorly written.
Pocahontas had a twin sister named Jabahontas.
Goldie looks like Alice and the girl from the black cauldron
I really liked the second Odette concept and Dorothy - I would have gone with an older version of Shirley Temple - 16 or 20 year old her- for reference. Saw her play John Wayne's daughter. I would like to see A Rose Red/Rose White Disney version - Or Oscar Wilde's Salome, but that's too dark.
Peau D'Asne is probably the fourth more famous fairy tale Princess between the realese of Snow White and The Sleeping beauty. Her popularity deminsih in the 80s, because of the incest subject. And was easily replaced by The Little Mermaid and Belle.
Barbie movies (cartoon…the movies for kids) did Swan Lake and it was really good. I’d like to see a hand drawn animated Disney princess again. Last one that we got was Princess Tiana. I’d like a classic story with a prince and princess but maybe a fantasy version like an elven princess. Or what about a space princess from another galaxy sorta like Princess Allura from Voltron DotU.
I agree! Disney needs to go back to the basics
I'd so have loved to own The Rainbow Road to Oz in VHS, Return to Oz in DVD-Video, and The Great and Powerful of Oz in Blu-Ray.
No im scared because the goldilocks you made looks exactly like me
NO WAY! That’s so cool!
Some suggestions
Rumplestitlzkin's Miller's Daughter (Is there any doubt who should play Rumple? He only auditioned for the role for ten years.)
Red Riding Hood
Hansel and Gretel
An Irish princess, perhaps a sanitized version of Dierdre of the Sorrows
Tam Lin
Maybe Melusine, I don't know about that one.
They did history a few times why not again with Princess Kail'lulauni or Empress Matilda ot Tomoe Gozen?
Maybe a Meso American story. Perhaps Izchel and Popocatepetl.
Kaguya Himei
Maybe a modern adaptations of an older story ala Princesss and the Frog with a more diverse cast similar to the series Happily Ever After Stories for Every Child.
Oh some of rhe Arabian Nights stories Ali Baba would work because it has a brilliant female character already: Morgiana. Even have a wrap around segment with Scheherezade.
Since they mentioned OZ, I would love to see them do a direct adaptation of Land of OZ if nothing else to see the controversy that would form because of Ozma's origin story in the books.
While we're on the subject Maiden and Princess or Princess Princess Ever After (Actually, I'm still waiting for them to do King and King).
Wow those are A lot of great ideas! Going to be making a series of different videos! 😁
I Don't Know Espeically If Disney Doesn't Make It Happen I Wish I Had An Answer For You? It Would Be A Very Good Idea To See Ever A Animated Version Or Live Action Version Of These Disney Features That Never Got Off The Ground.
The bears look so sweet
I grew up during the 90s and watched Disney blossom with their incredible movies. And I kept waiting for them to tell stories from India, Africa, South America (Emperors New Groove is alright, but I’m talking a more serious movie), etc. and then….. nothing… 😢
*Those all sound so good!*
There is also a sequel story published of the Wizard of Oz by Disney. I had that on an old Disney collection of books that always featured two stories each. Usually a more famous one and one less known
I hoped they’d do “Princess & the goblins” ❤
I would love Disney to do a animation of Red Riding Hood,
One of favourite stories as a child ❤
Ooooohhh that would be so cool!
Minnehaha in the poem has the drawback of being almost entirely a side character. A little kid version in a short cartoon could work, but as a feature film protagonist, I just don’t think she’d be viable.
I’m glad Disney didn’t do swan lake as I love the swan princess it’s one of my childhood favourites
Mine too! It’s such a classic!
Seeing as Goldilocks has such a short narrative, there would have to be a way to stretch it out to 90 minutes
It would be great if Disney could rescue these old calceled idea movies and actually bring them back making real movies instead of....doing whatever they are doing with movies by now.
I completely agree! Disney needs to go back to the basics. I miss the old Disney animation style
Little Hiawatha was called Havita in Portugal and Brazil
The ugly duckling, elves and the shoemaker, Anasi and the sky god, the goose girl, east of the sun, west of the moon, Ali baba and the forty thieves, the enchanted horse, twelve dancing princesses, the snow queen, the shepherdess and the chimney sweep are just quite a few of the fairy tales I’d love to see Disney do. I grew up with all of these and more, from all over the world. Just a shame that they concentrated on the live action films instead.
I liked the second concept art for Odette better than the first...but that's my opinion. As for Dorthy's concept art...if it was made into an anime...yeah, I can see myself watching it...also, forgive my criticism but I like Dorthy's first anime concept art better...but that's just me. If you have your own opinion...let me know.
Goldilocks looks adorable and so Disney, Yeah… but … If Disney did a full length feature film of Goldilocks and the three bears they would’ve added a bunch of content to fill space and it would be very removed from its actual source material
