It is always so cool to see these types of festivals. I love watching the Steampunk and Goth festivals, it is amazing to see the costumes, that people have made. Cool footage at the harbour, with the huge waves.

Wow holy storm waves!!! What a fun time to see all the awesome creative outfits! I think the doggie couple was my favourite lol, and Felix riding the cool fun bike. Hi Netty yeah they have 2 steampunk festivals a year and 2 goth festivals amongst a lot of other stuff it really is great for Whitby’s economy! We have met so many amazing people through these festivals and also people who enjoy watching our channel! The sea was the most ferocious we have ever seen it in Whitby! Have a lovely weekend 👍❤️

Enjoyed the Annual steampunk event, How fun and even better getting to see and experience the town of Whitby too through your lens. Loved the variety of costumes, every time they just get more better and better and so much more interesting. The car was actually insane! So much detailing had gone into that, very impressive. Hi Nick and Jill another fantastic video. We do enjoy your steam punk videos. We really like the interviews hearing where people have come from and about their outfits. There is such a lot of work put into them. We spotted Sid from the punk band cryo-genics with the blue mohecan at 11:44 his band used to play our local before it closed down. We loved the car it sounded fantastic. The waves were dramatic especially from the comfort of our warm sofa. Fantastic that you have adopted Hugo he has a good home. Hi guys there are always people by the Abbey during the Goth Festival as it makes the ideal spot for pictures etc But yeah the February Steampunk is probably the quietest of the four! The weather has been pretty stormy 🌊 have a great weekend 👍
Some fabulous and cool costumes. I live not too far from St Helens. Even saw Metalman. Very cool car kitted out. I thought it would be cold for shorts but a bit too cold for the upper body, best layer up. Glen from Scotland look cheery and friendly, the Scottish/Irish bloke. Whitby always looks worth a visit on its own but even more so when there are events like this on. Even a hermit might enjoy it, well maybe. 👍
You would love Whitby Paul always something great going on and much quieter in the winter months so maybe better for a visit from a hermit 🤣 👍
They do have a parkrun there too that I haven't bagged 😁

It’s a bit of a whirlwind ever showing our face in Whitby or Scarborough now, daily occurrence that we get spotted. Love it all though and people are so amazing. Great storm waves throughout this spectacular film. I’ve always said you can’t beat a good old fashioned Steampunk Festival. Always good to be recognised by JBP and proves your talents are being spread worldwide. Spotted the METALMAN and try as hard as I could I couldn’t spot him in last weeks vid. Felix and his amazing bike was delightful but would have liked to have seen Jill riding it. Grog was the spitting image of Nick, Hugo was so much like Jill. Great characters through this film. Well done to you both. ❤️👍🍺📷
ah im sorry Mike. he was cheering on the kayakers at the very end. we have been in touch with Felix since this and he has extended an invitation to go riding with him and his gang which we were more than glad to accept! it’s true about CZcams that the best thing is meeting people you would not otherwise. I can happily say that my life is a million times better than it would be otherwise with the likes of you, Felix, Alan and so many hundreds of others now in it. I cant imagine life without you all. 😂 I think Grog was created in my likeness, I should be honoured! ♥️

Loved the previous Whitby videos too. How often is this festival held Nick and Jill? We are always so impressed with the congeniality at these events- here as well. Fun, friendly, enjoyable, and most important a safe and amiable environment as opposed to some sporting events ( won't mention football by name) Oeps! So cool these people are happy to take the time and chat. We also won't mention the weather as for participants for these events- don't care about the weather, they are there for the fun sharing their hobby of Steam Punk and Fantasy figures. Mind you the weather sure did her best and flexed her muscles quite aggressively. Awesome Nick and Jill- just fabulous to watch. 👌🇳🇱🙋♀🇳🇿

We too have been wanting to shoot storms but whenever there has been yellow warnings in Scarborough the sea has been the calmest! So was pleased it was the choppiest we had seen it in Whitby while at the SP festival 👍

Real pleased I bumped into you at the end of the day, as I was just on the way home, finished off the day real nicely :o). That car was amazing mind inside and outside loved the work that they had done on it and what a beast it sounded as well. Some brilliant costumes and real friendly people really brightening up the day, despite the hazy weather and that sea really got rough. Fabulous Whitby and a Fabulous day and Fabulous people too but such a shame about the following days bad weather. It looked really good fun at the end of the day and I would loved to have stopped later but nothing stands in the way of Saturday night date night! Cheers Alan

You seemed to be quite taken the VW ratrod, with I hope you're going to be giving the Hyundai a makeover 😂 Top wave action too along the pier, we got some good waves up at Seaham on the Saturday too.
brilliant Andy 😂 yes the Hyundai could do with a makeover. come to think of it I do have strings of spent bullets to hand, I could give her a nice hair piece! I think we have to keep our eye on the ball with these storms. the right shots could be golden. we got a handful on this but I think a lot more is needed.

Hi Donna Alan Metalman named his own car The Beast so when we saw this we couldn’t resist in thinking it was Alan’s but belongs to the lovely guy in the video who’s name we didn’t get unfortunately but he is from the Wirral! Nick did get Glenn’s name wrong but we were amazed we got to adopt Little Hugo who you will surely see in future videos 👍❤️
Great to finally meet you guys, Mark and kaz from Peterborough, definitely had a bit of stagefright being filmed lol and 5 mind after that we went to look at the waves and got soaked by a freak huge one that turned us into drowned rats!! Really enjoyed the video .will show my daughter as she used tobbe a goth. Love Whitby .saw numerous vids on Cleveland Way including your own before I walked it myself. Nice one .my fav part of England is from Saltburn down to Bridlington so find your channel really interesting.

@@GENerationXplorers hi Xers 😁 we were away on holiday for a month or so and now we are going to catch up with all our favourite CZcamsrs. Yep, I follow your Insta feeds but I am nowhere near as active on Insta these days. I think my inactivity has cost me about 2 or 300 followers from my peak. 😂 Finicky mob instagrammers. I've barely posted any CZcams videos in a year and I still managed to put on about 15 subs. 😂 Unlike my darn daughter who has garnered about 2k sub on her channel in the last 3 or 4 weeks. 😂
Now we have an automotive chapter in the SP video 😉

If only all seaside towns were as cool as Whitby eh! You guys must have a good mic, I didn't hear any wind noise! No steampunkers at the Abbey, well at least it was good exercise and warmed you up a bit! Those waves are pretty savage! Glen, Scottish not Irish, proved very popular 😂 Where's Hugo from, Scottish or Irish? 😂
thats a very good question Matt, we are going to presume he is also Scottish for now! Whitby is lovely but, even with all the crowds and festivals it manages to throw the entire year to maintain a booming economy there are a few empty units rearing their heads. I imagine they will be whipped up pretty fast though. We definitely can’t show our faces in Whitby, Scarborough or Bridlington without getting recognised which is really nice, especially when people shout things like “check it out” from across the street! I rock up anywhere else and nobody has a clue who we are. thankfully found a hidden setting on the GoPro which has Wind Reduction to “always on”, id previously had it set to “auto” and it gave some very unfavourable results. Desperate to catch a really good storm, I think that would have been the day for it. I was patient enough to record for about half an hour and got a minutes decent footage. to get the 8 minutes + you’d need for adverts you would probably have to film several hours of storm footage to just show the best bits. storms do seem to do the numbers, so keep your eyes peeled for the next one near you!
@@GENerationXplorers hahha when someone's behind you and calls you do you say 'let me spin you round' 😆 ohhh I'll have to check if my gopro has that function, could really do with it! Yeah I went out hiking and camping in a storm last year but it didn't come out that great on the camera sadly! Hopefully I'll get one along the Pacific Coast, they had some pretty mean ones last month! Most people would be thinking they're glad not to be caught up in a storm, us youtubers are sad when we miss them 😅
@no_soy_rubio certainly the Pacific Coast is THE very best place in the world to catch a storm! We love it there, we did the PCH1 for our honeymoon. Yeah I filmed on a windy day the other week with it on “auto” and the sound is horrendous. It wont be seeing the light of day. You got some great storm footage on your Isle of Wight trip..
That Volkswagen bug was very cool. The waves were pretty amazing. When we have really massive high waves in California, everyone goes down to the ocean, and then the waves sweep over them, and people get injured or killed. Stupid people. Lol.
Hi Leon yeah we remember the warning signs on the California coastline so can imagine they are huge! People always trying to get selfies or footages seen many folk almost get pulled in silly and dangerous 👍

Lovely sunshine when I left and with every mile North we travelled, the temperature got colder and colder, then the fog, then the storm! I did end up regretting the shorts at the end!
