I am not really good at Kat but i Loved the old Kat when you Just Go ap and had Fun, today there are so many diferent builds and runes that It Just feels boring to play diferent game styles in every diferent game.
Maybe I'm just a minority but I've been playing fighter/bruiser Kat even years before the on hit changes were added, it's just a play style I really like and would hate that it was completely removed to make her just ap, so I hope the divine build or even trinity is still good in the future.
I more feel its cause the bruiser is way too tanky and does too much dmg, that they dont like it, been a problem for assassins lately, building bruiser items and still one tapping ppl it'll still be tanky and such but shouldnt be able to one tap ppl
Hmm this nerf will definitely hit hard against build with only Ad and no AS like divine. 15~10 ad ratio nerf on Dagger and 10% ad ratio nerf on E is definitely a lot
one thing about riot their "adjustments" or "mini reworks" are usually either a giant buff (ahri, taliyah, diana) or a blatant nerf (akali x100, kat) and it gets on my nerves. also i have no idea what riot wants to achieve with these specific kat changes. no matter from what perspective i look at it, they dont make sense at all, seems like theyre just making some funny numbers go up and down and hoping for the best (weirdly reminiscent of zeris case). which is embarrassing for a game developer this big (that not too long ago bragged about their 200 collective yrs of game design experience, among other things)
Personally I've found the most fun in kat with the ad fighter build. It's fun using all her mechanics and weaving every auto instead of brainlessly ewr even tho that is fun sometimes
I'm kinda new to league and I recently started playing Katarina and found her to be the most fun champion in the game for my play style and it makes me sad that she's being nerfed and I don't know what else I would play if she gets too weak :(
After 7 years playing the game, 4 of em one tricking kat, over 3M points, 400lps+, i unistalled the game after durability patch. Killed the game imo, is not worth to play a game every patch is in favour of bad players, that doesnt trade well or positionate decently. Just fk riot
You don't need to use the full r for the on-hit buff its just a 3% buff always and isn't the r bonus ad ratio just increased for every 1.0 attack speed you buy so its also a buff?
really weird changes, it looks like riot does not really know the problems with katarina atm, as she is maybe the most complicated champ out there due to their onhit changes back in season 10. really dont know what riot wants to achive right now but with changes like that theyre pushing kata in even more random spots where, who knows maybe, shieldbow kata will be a thing. overall not the changes we want i would say, and defenetly not making the game any healthier. personal i think ap katarina is in a good spot, the only things right now i think riot should take new approaches on are dd, maw and exhaust as dmg reduction is way over the charts since the durability update. if they nerf pen and buff mr and armor, why should dmg reduction stay like it is? smal reminder: riot stated that they want unless ure super fed, u have to use your WHOLE kit to detroy a squishy target, which i agree is a good decision. but then there shouldnt be options to completly delete certain dmg of champs, even tho veigar is super strong atm he cant do his job against the maw dd combo. and still veigar is top tier and suffers almost none from these changes. so i think its not kata which is the problem here riot, its the build paths u allow by not making smart decisions with your item balancing. peace out

I think it's really stupid, since riot want to get rid of the sunderer on katarina, they just nerf the whole ad (only source of damage in early since the character has a catastrophic laning phase) and then they increase the speed attack on the ultimate, what's the point? I don't know ... they are unfortunately too stupid to just remove the on hit and nerf ad to increase the ap ratio like in the old days. This nerf is so meaningless on the champion it's sad...
We took 4 consecutive nerf, I do not even know why, and they want to put us even more at the bottom. By doing that they thought to make return the build full ap in fashion but it is so weak..., it will be the return of the kraken no choice with léthal tempo...
Even the itemization of the champion doesn't make any sense, they didn't know how to fill the gap of the gunblade on the champion that gave us enough ad in early and then ap. Why should we build an core item like nashor that gives speed attack? ....
I genuinely just miss the days when kata was just a very cool and quick paced AP assassin.
They should honestly swift her build to AP like it always was and improve her laning phase, that's really it

I really miss gunblade and oblivion orb with 15 mr pen. When Kat is still purely an assassin, not a bruiser.
I didn’t play during that time, but I really prefer to do a lot of damage and still resist, instead of building full AP and one shot or be one shoted
@@ZsmZer0 yeah, that's "bruiser" mindset. With the old kata build, you can easily 1 shot their ap/ad with just 3 basic skill and electrocute.
