I bought the PS2 version, which used the same art style, then bought the Wii version when I got a Wii, and loved it. The motion controls made the game so much better to me.
Man Ghostbusters The Video Game was Awesome had it on the PS3 the Wii Verson having that controller probably felt like have an actual neutrona wand. I know on the Ghostbusters News YT channel he was able to play a modded version of Ghostbusters the video game with The Real Ghostbusters skins it looks incredible.
Played the 2009 version on PC but forgot most of it. Playing through the 2019 remastered version right now. But I definitely should try the Wii version someday. This game is really awesome and it really is the third Ghostbusters movie. It's amazing they managed to make this before Harold Ramis passed away. Even if he wasn't around for the Afterlife, he still managed to make the Ghostbusters movie sequel in the form of this game.
As another old guy that grew up un the late 80’s, I’ve learned through Videogame history that games from movies are mostly not good, so I’ve always ignored this game. Thanks to this review I will have it on my list 👍🏼
I remember me and a long gone psn friend spent a good month winning and playing on all the online maps and game modes to get the platinum, which on ps3 is now unobtainable as servers got taken down. Thank god ps4 version didn't include online mode.
I enjoyed the Wii version more & I own Both versions. And the Wii version can be 2 player cooperative & the other versions are not. Why? GREAT QUESTION! The Wii version with motion controls are very well done.

I owned (still do) all three systems. Was tempted to buy it for either the 360 or, PS3. BUT..bought it for Wii instead. Particularly cause the motion controls is great for Ghostbusters. Had a blast playing it with my son! Been meaning to buy it for either PS3 or 360 still. I also bought the remaster for Switch. And totally agree. It's awesome on Switch!

I've 100%ed the game several times over. In spite of the cartoony graphics, the motion controls add so goddamn much to the experience.

Many people have unfairly underestimated this version for years because it has a more cartoonish and simplistic artistic/graphic style, but the truth is that it's a very good version that has the added of being played with the wiimote, which guarantees a very different gameplay feeling compared to the other versions. This version it feels like a more arcade and dynamic game thanks to wiimote working as an aiming pointer for the proton weapon pack. Not only that, the Wii/PS2/PSP version has significant differences from the Xbox 360/PS3/PC/Remasters version, there are several changes between both versions. For example, even the Wii/PS2/PSP version has an exclusive T Rex boss enemy that isn't in the other version, it's a exclusive. Other important changes you can see playing and comparing both games very close, but I can say that both games aren't exactly the same. Sorry my english.

It's a common misconception that Ramis and Aykroyd wrote the story. They didn't. The game credits them, but it was just marketing. This is according to an interview with Ramis in the New York Times.
I think Ghostbusters, the video game IS the third movie. Afterlife will never be the third movie. Afterlife is really more of a legacy tribute movie for Harrold Ramis, God rest his soul. I don't know what people have against trans-media. When movies, games, and comics all contribute to the same story

The remastered version of Ghostbusters on the PS4 is awesome and still looks, sounds, and plays great, especially when played on the PS4 Pro.

They did write the script for the movie first when that didnt pan out they turned it into a game made after the original creators known as Zootfly
