I originally wouldn't be anything but a forward. Goalie didn't seem exciting enough as a kid. But when i started making videos of NHL goalies, I decided to try it. Really glad I did. Goaltending gives you an amazing feeling in the game, whether it's on that ice, or a driveway, or whatever. The feeling when you have a good game or make a great save is enough to push you father and farther to love the sport. Goalie, Defensemen, or Forward, all hockey positions deserve respect.
Those pads were pretty sweet, probably one of the better looking sets out there...that blank white mask is probably why you didn't get one the call though, let's be real. If you had your new paint job on it like you do now it would have been a whole different story.

Im right handed and i use a right handed stick but dont know if im full right becuase when i play catch with friends i catch with my right and when i try to catch with my left im not as good so from a goalie perspective which one?
I think you should catch with the hand you're most comfortable with. After all, your first and primary job is to keep the puck out of the net. Being able to trap the puck is crucial. Today's game is so fast, you really just need to be able to make a crisp 20-50 ft pass. I think it would be less difficult to teach yourself how to shoot the opposite way (like many goalies have had to do, myself included...I still shoot left with a players stick) than it would be to teach yourself how to catch with your non-glove hand.. especially if you've ever played baseball.

im not a goalie but I think you should just compare pads and see how you like them, same ones probably dont work for everyone

You should be the HABS backup goalie ! We’re in dire straits for one! Your obviously a pro goalie caliber. If I were you I’d be trying to contact every NHL team! Get yourself an agent, you definitely look like you can be a backup in the NHL. And if you don’t get your shot, play for an AHL team you can make a good living in the minors too...good luck! 🏒🇨🇦I honestly think they thought you were to good to be a backup! There’s politics everywhere especially in sports and it wouldn’t look good if you were actually better than there starting goalie!

Taylor Hall they obviously wouldn't be on the roster now, they just needed a backup goalie until either A) they found a free agent or B) their goalies healed which I believe at the time wasn't a long time
