I think this situation of everything going up is the same all over the world ! I live in Sydney Australia and here you need at least One milion dollar to buy apartment ? I am prefer not talking about house ! You can live without luxury brand thinks but you need apartment over your heads ! Sydney is expensive city ? But same time minimum wage is $27 dollar per hour !
From my own experience it’s a miserable place to work. You are surrounded by toxic colleagues, especially the seniors who didn’t achieve anything in life and doesn’t have any more opportunities. It’s not a real travelling, you have a very limited short time to explore at the same time dealing with jet lag and sleeplessness. You can earn much more by obtaining a degree and constantly working in the field you love. With that money you can travel as a passenger and for real enjoy the travel.
Toxic colleagues are in every job, everywhere in the planet, many maaaany didn't achieve any thing and they are ceos just because he knows someone who knows someone. Simple
Totally agree with how things changed financially… when I started in 2018 I used to always still have money to save at the end of the month, not anymore… but the lifestyle it’s so addictive 😂🤩
Exactly. In 2016 when I joined, I hardly spent any money in a regular month. Even with going out things were so much cheaper lol.

It's worth it ( I did it in my previous airline & got in to world top 100 university doing my (competitive) degree. I miss it so much the crew job, I would love to join.

It's healthy for you to have some quality time, knowing that you're always attending people, of course you need some time to disconnect.
About the topic of this video, from my point of country, I live in Chile and my country is more expensive than the UAE 🇦🇪 with less salary we have to make magic to meet the end of the month, inflation has affected us in many ways, so each country has its own struggles with this issue. In my case even though I'm working on a different field than yours (international finance and some corporate and governance law) I am preparing myself to start this quest to move over there, in my case alongside with the financial incomes also for medical reasons I've been suggested medically to move over there... it takes courage and perseverance to reach the goal, but I'm working towards it 💪 👍 🙏 🙂.

Middle East/Gulf cabin crew position is literally a safe haven and you make good money, saving and investing/buying a house with a tax-free salary and UAE/Qatar are not even expensive even on a regular cabin crew salary and you can travel and be safe in Gulf cities that provide security and geoplitical stability anyway, add on your nice cushy lifestyle with a free housing provided/shared apartment you still have a good enough lifestyle with these tough war-ridden times you will have no problems, also counting for the future, and then you also get layover/per-diem allowance and amazing discounts and benefits, not to mention the ID90/50 staff travel tickets, especially for young people, there are some underprivileged people who would kill to have this job and here we are being nitpicky and spoilt about these things... come on. And Abu Dhabi/Doha/Dubai and even more, are all amazing, beautiful and enjoyable/pleasurable with very good facilities and amenities, amazing infrastructure, and lovely, vibrant cities ideal to even rise a family in as well it live as a single if you want to. No discrepancy there. And I'm a white European/westerner coming from a rich, developed country where salaries are high and extremely good but with high taxes, not even coming from a poor place. I One thing that is better elsewhere in other countries tho, is human rights packages and social treatment, that I will say, but not even always and in Middle East it's actually not even that worse or different, yes okay maybe you aren't so much protected but still it's a small negligible difference and the positives outweigh the just few negatives sides, and actually I would argue it's even better for some things being without democracy, there really is nothing big of a difference there. I would still do it for sure. It is a good job and still worth it. I would be full of life and bursting with happiness lol, in fact I will move back to the UAE, this literally paradise on earth, exactly right this year!
P.S: I wouldn't invest in crypto, but you do you, it's a debt-inducing liability but at least it's not a depreciating irresponsible purchase lol.

Given the drive for issues around climate change, in the post-Covid era, the impending collapse of the travel and tourist industry worldwide, the drive for 15 mins smart cities and enforced moves from rural areas into big cities, the cabin crew job and any other job in the aviation industry will become a thing of the past, except being the exclusive preserve of the super wealthy and powerful (where Covid has enabled them to be even more so) - air travel for the masses will soon become a thing of the past, long after 9/11 and the only type of passenger flights permitted in the future will be private jet travel - to me, this is deeply worrying, as I have lived in the U.K. for 22 years and have extended family in Rural Ireland - since 2010, I’ve used overnight coach travel and “SailRail” (train and diesel ferries) across the Irish Sea and given recent U.K. rail disruptions since Covid, this too looks like being phased out in the same way as air travel due to EU climate change directives restricting or even banning “shorthaul” air travel altogether between Ireland and the U.K. - in the immediate aftermath of Covid, we saw many flight delays and cancellations at many U.K. airports so the aviation industry worldwide is finished - during Covid, we saw many cabin crew and pilots, flight engineers taking jobs in supermarkets after I had been made redundant from one U.K. supermarket after 17 years in 2019 just before Covid out of a total of 30 years in supermarkets - as a child, I had once wanted to become a pilot and after a few years in my last supermarket, I applied for cabin crew roles in many airlines around the world without any success and despite huge opposition from everyone around me, but I’m glad that I failed as all of the airlines are dying - I’ve no sympathy for the airlines, as what’s happened to them is self-inflicted

It's worth if you're early 20s...my sister left Emirates after 3years. Toxic environment, Emirates now goes for the very youngish, brainless ( no offence) cos its easier to manipulate their controversial rules. Once you get older its difficult to tolerate their views. It's the type of job smile and commit to smile. Yes there's a lot of travel but it's not really travel, plus you're always tired, night flights....for the early 20s it might be a great experience. Other than that, not really.

@milantehrandubai it's not for everyone. There's a lot of politics. And yes, it's toxic. Either you obey or you obey no other choice. That is why they go for the early 20s hires. They very easy to manipulate.
100% true. A genuinely clever person would never work this job. That’s a sad true. You are surrounded there by quite a dump people. A lot of them don’t have any education and treat people in a miserable ways, especially elderly seniors. You also need to consider that time is going and it’s not a career. To all the young generation I’d advise to study, obtain a degree and get a serious job, and travel as a passenger.
@@MaiDubaiii i do believe some of them are well educated, and most of the times the problem are the airlines, management and their strict rules. In the end, someone has to do it. They sell this idea of glamour and travel. But most of the times, people are miserable ,tired and overworked. It's a very demanding job. Airlines simply go for the less experience so they can easily manipulate.

My guess is, if you are from north america or europe (most of countries), its not worth it just because the salary and incomes. But, for people from other places could be a life change oportunity financially. Im from Brazil, and heare companies pay like us$980 for the job and still higher than many others areas without a degree. It depends of your reality and point of view

You aren't too old, I know of a few people that got in after 32 years of age and residual of your already experienced and worked amm as a cabin crew/FA out in related sectors such as hospitality and customer service job roles that is a big plus but even if you didn't and just want to change industries that is good and possible and you can still do it for sure! Go for it, I encourage you... ❤

Yes you are, maybe they won't accept you if there are younger options, but you can still try. I've heard of many people getting in these Gulf airlines (QR/EK/EY) even after 33/34/35, so I would say that you're in time! Go for it... especially if you are an experienced cabin crew member/flight attendant and have been working in another airlines maybe in your home country or already have work experience in other companies and have worked in related/important industries such as hospitality and customer service roles, but even if you don't and want to change paths you can still do it. I encourage and support you.

No, it can't really so much. It depends on what you said in your interview/assessment video, the contents matter. If it is good, the light is not important and if they like you you will get it, so don't worry about that! Be hopeful...
