This version sounds nice and clean, on the other hand, the Genesis version sounds louder, abrasive, and hits harder...I like the genesis version better.
This one lacks the depth of the Genesis one... there's no echo or any kind of add-on for the bass. In fact it sounds like something the TG-16 would do. The one thing this version does better imo is the percussion. The Genesis one has the wimpy noise hits (even though in other tracks they knew how to make it better)
I played both as a kid, love both. Don't see why other people have to be such bitches about this. When I do my covers, though, I template off of the SNES version because I feel like it's a bit better defined and the arrangement is better.
All the more easier to randomly laugh at genesis fanboys' and fangirls' opinions on thunder spirits for no apparent reason other than being ironically entertained by how much they exaggerate the game as if it was as bad as Sonic 06....
Gameplay wise, I'd say I am more of a fan of Thunder Force 3 because it is the harder, original game in my eyes. On the other hand, Thunder Spirits, while slightly succeeding less as a game and not being exactly as tight as the Geneisis version, has, in my opinion, the better OST. My favorite OSt of all time will forever be Thunder Force 4's original soundtrack specifically because of how cleverly the composers has used the poor sound capability of the Genesis to his advantage, but Thunder Force 3's feel more experimental in its execution.
Jesus this version seems lazy in comparison to the Genesis one. The samples they used are trash, the SNES could do much better. It lacks the gritty hard metal sound of the Genesis.

Having only played the Genesis version.... all I gotta say is: I feel dirty listening to this.
i like so much this game also it`s music and i highly apreciate people who like and upload ost like this not subscribing would be a sin!
Genesis/Mega Drive kicks Snes ass in this game.
This dont sound awful at all i actually like this stage theme better than the genesis one. but that just my opinion.
