"But that sounds like hard work--" OF COURSE IT IS. Thanks for making this, Kab. So many people miss out just from being afraid of hard work or outright of failure. Gotta fail before you can succeed after all. Behind every successful content creator is endless failure and learning experiences especially.
"A Master has failed more times than an amateur has every tried"
Its a ethos I live by and that mindset drives me forward, because every failure is a step toward finding what works.
Keep those empty platitudes going...
Amazing advice! Seriously. It really does take hard work and finding your way onto other platforms and not just doing Twitch, because it's true when people say Twitch isn't great for discovery. Even for people with platforms elsewhere first.
This was actually a great motivator to getting back to uploading content onto tiktok and the like. This was a good reminder that it's a waste and a shame when good footage goes to waste by not being utilized properly.
The big problem I've had in the past when dealing with those sites is when I've put my best effort into making a really good clip that I can be proud of and it gets minimal views, then meanwhile a clip that I put minimal effort into gets all of the attention. When that happens, it's a real motivation killer, you know?
The algorithm can be a pain to work with.
Your laugh tho- it's iconic.
Thank you a lot for the advices ! Let'ssssss level up all of dat.
Thanks kab, for sure things ive come to find on my own but its always good to have it put out into more consise thoughts, expecally when you are feeling stuck and lost. More then anything I like the idea that you should not neglet your own enjoyment as a content creator and to take that and project that outwards.
This was an extremely informative and motivating video Kab! I always enjoy conversations like this, so I'll definitely be here for it if/when you make more! haha Content creation IS really hard work, but it can also be super rewarding!
well, kab so i am in marketing in college and am trying to start a twitch an your hitting all the boxes for what i'm learning but it helps that your pointing out what steps i will need to take to try and start this journey
Thanks for this Kab. I've struggled a lot with feeling like I pigeon holed myself into one small niche and that I'd never grow as a result. The "entertain yourself" thing I think is the advice I needed to hear the most. It seems so obvious but it doesn't always click to "make content you would enjoy watching". I hope when I redebut in a few weeks that I can put some of this into practice and get a fresh start all around.
Nuts and Bolts of Community Building Full Stop. Thank you Kab.
I like the idea of entertaining yourself, but projecting that enjoyment outwards to be shared with your audience. Great video for sure.
This was actually really validating. I did CZcams for a year before starting twitch streams, and so far it's been going really well.
You know as much as I hate CZcams's algorithm I'm glad I managed to find this. Thank you for the advice! I'll be sure to take this into consideration.
Thanks for all the lovely tips! I'll hopefully be able to do well with them!
wow, alot has change since ive gone, cant wait to go back and enjoy the stream, just need to finish som work and ill hav time to return in due time, congrats on ur end 🎉
Wowie - I just found out you have a youtube channel! I love how detailed you get for community building - it's something I've been wanting to learn & improve upon as I want to create a community focused on supporting each other to pursue their creative goals. I hope to use the tips you gave to improve my community. Thank you for the video!!
Thank you for making such great educational content. The amount of catharsis I get from some of your videos is huge. I really appreciate you putting this in videos I can share with people
one of the best informant videos about communities i have seen so far
While I've been messing with other platforms, it was nice hearing more specifics like tailoring content. Thank you for the help, great video!
Thank you for this! You helped me make a decision I've been struggling with for a while. I know that everyone's road to success is different, but your idea of starting on CZcams makes so much sense.
Honestly one of the better vids on the topic that I've seen. Thanks Kab ❤
Thank you for the tips! I just have to be on the grind and try to take your advice to heart
I watched these live and it was a lot of great points. There are times we KNOW certain things but sometimes we need to HEAR to make sure we really understand it
I knew a lot of these things, but there's a lot of stuff I missed and am grateful for the wisdom share.
Ty out of all the videos i have seen. This is the 1st that actually had some good advice. I stream, and this has given me some good ideas and to try and improve.
I've been wanting to start my vtubing for a while.
I have art, setting up a model, loads of draft plans but never knew where to start and how to grow. So, this has been a great help in setting up. Thank you Kabhaal.
Honestly as someone whos getting into content creation myself, i needed this, appreciate it man.
Your aesthetic and model are frickin awesome dude!!!
Ok. Great advices. Subscribing, saving video for the future. Thanks for your work.
Sooo so correct! My sibling tried some streaming on twitch and got upset they weren't getting a lot of viewers. It also can take TIME, not everyone grows at the same exact time.
You always crack me up in your streams and chat is so chaotic confused but not very toxic! Ty for being your purple noodle man self.
thanks so much for making this!
"Yell at things" - 'things' is us in chat causing chaos, giving support and making Kab get a headache from it. We learn from the best
This has been very helpful. Thank you.
Your awesome for making this. Thank you
bro I have to say that this is a amazing video, (SHAMLESS PLUG) as a content creator who is attempting to build his community I feel like these tips could really help down the road, can't say on what I'm currently doing cuz even I don't know how to tackle this, or put too much shameless plugging; but I will say this i will take all these tips to heart and use this to grow and hopefully be at least half of a good creator as you
Hello! Thank you for this amazing video, Kabhaal.
I just subscribed to your CZcams channel and what you said in this particular video is totally accurate.
I first found about you because of CZcams Shorts and other content creators talking about you.
Not gonna lie, it was a little bit hard to remember how to write your name.
After that I looked for your contents and other media platforms.
I really liked your personality, video edition and content.
I wish you great success.
Obsessed with this video. You got me
Very insightful.
Wonderful and useful video! Thank you 🐙
Very cool tips. I followed you because I saw some clips of you on Twitter and I don't regret it!
I'm going to rework my Twitch channel and this is really helpful.
Thank you and greetings from Chile 🇨🇱!
This is good advice, especially since youtube will make discovery easier with shorts but make more money with money. Thank you for this well communicated lesson.
omg i love your model! Its really cool and something different!
Thanks!
I'm going to become a big cool streamer now. Let's go.
THANK YOU for cautioning against the @everyone
It bugs me so much when people @everyone for streams going live, it's much better to have a dedicated role for that imo
Really nice video!
I have been wanting to start streaming but never knew how to start because I am an introvert but this really helps.
This is why Kab is top tier. Such a great tangent ♥
dont even know how i found this page but i fwu kabhaal 👍🏽💯
THERE I AM GARY THERE I AM!!
Good advice nice content...
What hammer and nails should I use for building my community and what concrete should I use? Great video!
Also don't worry about the size of your community the things you can control he covers but it's also a decent amount of luck that dictates it you're probably not going to get to the size of Markiplier and that's okay because that's a lot of stress to manage a community that large and it also potentially becomes very impersonal
Thank you Mr. kab
Thank you for this video! Do you (or anyone else who might be reading this) maybe have some tips on how to externalise your reactions? It's kinda the bit that I struggle with the most.
from what I've seen from the streamers who became popular recently, another very important thing is to be unique in some way. It might come from the appearance, from the behaviour, even from the accent, but if you are just an average looking guy playing games, it will be hard to get the audience since there's a lot of people like that and when people see you on the youtube thumbnail or on your stream thumbnail, they just won't be interested. Kabhaal is a good example, his avatar is kinda unique, his voice and mannerisms fit it very well and that's how you become interested in his content. You see him being unique on the thumbnail > you click on it > you see that everything about him sticks together pretty well and since you're already interested in his appearance, you now are interested in watching him. But that's about the Western audience, CIS community for example doesn't care about the person being unique (or hate them in some cases), a lot of big streamers there don't even use a webcam. They care more about the gaming skill and memes and often will hate on someone who is unique or has a different accent
I have watched some of your old videos and yeah you have improved a lot
That being said you have the voice and laugh of a spooky clown xD I meant it in a good way 👍 it fits quite well imo
Thank you for the video, I’m going to be coming back to this a few times as I set up my own attempt at Vtubing.
Any advice that can be given for the more hardware side of things? Sadly it falls outside of my area of expertise
He looks like a spell punk from the game called " skylanders " that I played but if u don't believe me, look it up.
Alright I can't wait to have my own cult uh I mean community
How did you cover your face with that filter? I wanted to do similar to that since I'm uncomfortable showing my face
I will do my best to become a great content creator
Damn, 11-12 EST I'm asleep by then XD
Ya honest
Almost 666 likes
I didn't even realize how much content I let go waste by not using my VODS. I would like to add don't overthink it.
Yea, I still remember your YT time.
All I want is the bald community
Good talk as always boss.
Really wish my own schedule didn’t preclude me watching your streams 😐
I've got a question!
Is it possible to have a community in a way that doesn't involve streaming on CZcams? I already have a Twitch account and I'd like to use that.
Why would Kabhaage do this?
I wanna like this video but its sitting on 666
Good tips. Too bad they'll never work for me.
I like a lot how you think.
Though here are some recommendations based from my own learnings :
1) Instagram reels is almost as huge for content virality as TikTok, if not better given that their stories allow you to put a sticker link that upon click/touch can redirect and funnel people towards a specific website or discord server
2) I put my Discord server almost at the top of the funnel, but that is because I am a full time content creator so I engage with my community with games, events, anime, movies on a daily basis
I love getting to know other like minded individuals that are seeking ways for growth and expand, if interested, I would love to collab with you to discuss these things n.n
