I bought a new Jawa 250/353 model back in the day (1963) from Pride & Clark in London, then, in 1984 in Melbourne, a very badly used-and abused 350/361 Sport, which I kept for 15 years; wish I still had it, as it was completely reliable after I'd restored it.
Jawa & CZ ownership usually develops into an addiction, with owners soon not being satisfied with just one bike. I have 11, at the moment, with the most I've owned, at any given time being 15 bikes. I use a 1977 CZ 350-472.1 Sport as the general transport bike, which I bought from a breakers yard back in 1996 for £20. My son has a 1974 CZ 250-471.0.005 (early production run), which he uses for long journeys because it's reliable & frugal with petrol, consuming 8 litres over 200 miles.
