Yow's vocal delivery (and clarity/volume) are reminiscent of late-stage Jesus Lizard ("Blue" and "Shot"). The music, however, is like peak "Liar" and "Goat" Jesus Lizard. Sure, a filthy Steve Albini recording would be ideal, but this new stuff is great. Now we just need some fresh Butthole Surfers!

We're all getting old. Lol I've never had a Jesus Lizard album, but this has a very "Butthole Surfers - Who Was In My Room Last Night" vibe to it, IMO.🤘
