Love your "Volume #2" video list! So many of these songs took me back to my post high school year of 1977.

Great songs in 1977. I was in my last year in the United States Marine Corps. Reminds me of Camp LeJeune, North Carolina, discharged 4 Oct 77. Semper Fidelis

Q- Dancin Man one of the funkiest dancing songs of the year and very underrated and of course Ain't Gonna Bump No More 😂

1977 - a decent year musically. The Smokie song is known for the wrong reasons in the UK 😉 What's with the chicken song lol? Wild Cherry seemed to be a one trick pony. 'Sam' was a favourite song of my late grandfather. I remember him singing it when I was a child. Loving the whole soul / funk / disco vibes in this video. Many classics known and forgotten. One of the best decades for soul music imo. Good to see some Queen - I'm guessing they weren't as famous as they were in the UK and Europe. 'Show You The Way To Go', 'Way Down' (One of Elvis' best if not absolute best song and a #1 here in the UK), 'Knowing Me, Knowing You', 'So You Win Again', 'Doctor Love', 'As' (this man is a legend!), 'My Way', 'Native New Yorker' (very surprised that wasn't a big hit there), 'If You're Not Back In Love By Monday' (Millie Jackson very underrated - only known for those dodgy album covers) my top faves on this excellent list.
No punk I noticed. Did it catch on over there?

I Honestly Love You by Olivia Newton-John hit #1 on the chart on Oct 5, 1974 not 1977. Her 1977 chart entry was "Sam" making it up to #20.

"Sam" is in the list. "I honestly love you" charted 1974 and 1977 as a re-release (#48 in november 1977)

@@francispelletier3647 How 'bout that, it re-entered on 11/5 at #85, then went to 74, 63, 52, 48, 66, then #69 for the last three weeks of 1977. Thanks for the info, I did not know it re-entered!
