WOW this seem to be a long ride and I love it. Also, no real upside down much, just speed so my Dad is going to love it also!!

Cosmic rewind and Space mountain makes this non theming wanna be “space” coaster a disaster.
This ride space theming is a tunnel full of projector stars and then you’re blasted into boring steel coaster ride. Universal once again being lazy and boring. This is a basic coaster you can get at your local theme park.
Wait a sec! Didn't they close Dueling Dragons because of the dangers of objects falling from one train and hitting the other? So now, they're back to duel coasters again?
Looking at the design, they may have learned from the Dueling Dragons mistakes. The trains look traditional with sides and floors and rides on top of the track, meaning they don't interact at any point where the momentum of the ride would sling any personal belonging towards each other. DD on the other hand was a suspended bottomless coaster with some near misses that slung items at the other train when they came loose.
Or they do it like F.L.Y. at Phantasialand, where passengers have to go through security like in the airport and hand over all loose items, where they are then stored in the locker.
@@quinquedecem They could have adopted that policy on Dueling Dragons too, but instead, they opted to remove the ride.
To my understanding Dueling Dragons was in need of re-track, so instead of paying to re-tack they invested in a totally new ride experience@@rickpontificates3406
@@rickpontificates3406if you've been on Velocicoaster or any recent coaster at universal you would see that they don't allow for any loose items at all. They even made my gf take off her eyeglasses. So she was pretty much seeing nothing on one of the ride throughs. I'm sure security and metal detectors will be bumped up for rides like this.
And to your point, yes, they could've added this to DD and I miss that ride. Luckily I got to ride it one last time in its last few days of operation. I will say however, I think I like the overall theming and ride of Hagrids over DD but I would've preferred they added instead of replacing DD.

want to ride this one day from what I have seen so far I say dueling dragons was better
Dueling Dragons 3.0
As a coaster it's going to be very cool. I only have two concerns. First, will it fit in at Epic Universe? I know Universal has The Hulk and RipEide Rockit which don't have a lot of on ride theming (other than Hulk's launch and onboard audio and I guess the city facades kind of count for RipRide Rockit.) But I really think the theming will ultimately be the deciding factor on how well this fits. Again, as a coaster it looks great, but Universal is not a Six Flags/Cedar Fair type chain.
My only other concern is if the MACK launches will have any punch. I'd really love for them to put in a tad bit more than they usually do. I'm not expecting the tunnel launch on Maverick. But maybe at least on the level of a Premier Rides launch.

This coaster is the central "hub" area which is supposed to have celestial/space theme to it.
@@RichardDicksondlyrch68 hopefully they do a lot with that theme. I hate to see Universal default to Six Flags "theming" where there is just a coaster with a sign and color scheme. I know the ride won't be entirely enclosed but it will feel out of place if it's a just a cool coaster without any context or storyline.
And I'm sure Universal has thought of that but I just don't really know how to make a space theme work in a coaster that isn't enclosed.
It would be better if you would go through both tracks like Twisted Collosus.
Looks like Star Racer 2 is the better ride. Is it me, or is that the only track that has an inversion?
The other one has a barrel roll which might be considered an inversion it will probably get some good air time but I think the green track probably has the better inversion but we’ll see.
Maybe its because I grew up in the 90s/2000s but I can't shake that I think this park is missing a major thrill coaster. It also just seems like there isn't going to be enough attractions for the huge numbers of guests that will go to the park. Absolutely nice work though on the recreation. Really wish Planet Coaster would get an update/new rides

Looks boring and the theming is trash. I’m being blasted in a tunnel full of stars but then the ride goes out in daylight. Cosmic rewind is amazing because you actually feel like you’re in space.
Give it a chance. This is literally a rendering of the real thing. How can you judge it based on a recreated 3D video and not the real thing?
@@graffiti.777 From the epic updates literally shows it going from a tunnel to boring outdoor steel coaster. I’m sure it will be a great thrilling coaster but the theming is lazy and boring.
