    The entire episode is what happens if Charlie, as naive as she is, is guided (which is Alastor's goal as he says in the song) by an evil person like Alastor. In this episode, Charlie has done nothing except serve as a puppet and flag bearer for Alastor... He is the one who tells Charlie where to find someone who knows how to kill angels, he is the one who gives arguments to convince Rosie (and it is his presence that makes Rosie confident about the project), it is Alastor who ends up saying in Charlie's song that the cannibals will be able to eat angels, which motivates them when Charlie's song had already lasted for more than a minute without working too much.
    In addition, in ONE episode, he solved the angelic problem and managed to extract an extremely advantageous deal for himself with the princess of Hell, by attacking her when she was at her weakest.
    As for the favor he could ask, I think it should be simple:
    If it's possible to break a deal, only Lucifer should be able to do it and if Lucifer can do it, then Charlie should surely know how to do it too, whether she knows it or not.

    5:21 ok so, this theory is pretty simple. It’s that angels can hurt each other, but demons can’t hurt them, so basically vaggy thought because lute was an angel she was able to hurt her. (Not knowing the angel weapons can also hurt angels.)

    i think i understand charlie's point. she knows alastor is sketchy but if she does not know the information of angelic weapons she will not be able to protect her hotel crews who are also kind of her family. i think she thinks herself the cause of exorcists coming down directly to hotel and wants to overcome that mistake. in ep 7, i think if she just said " oh angels are coming to my hotel in just few weeks and i will just try to redeem those sinners
    again because violence is bad" that's what stupidity and ignorance is to me
    she even made conditions that do not involve taking her soul and harming anyone during deal unlike main characters in other shows (dipper from gravity falls or ariel in little mermaid )
    although it might be a hot take, i think charlie has been growing since ep 4 and this is just the start of more growth.

    5:30 she thought that a gouged out eye and torn off wings were the same damage. She thought she can not regenerate both of injures because of the trauma, because she believed that she kinda had become a sinner and this was her punishment. All she knew was that angelic weapon kill demons. This is more a global question: have angels never at least accidently wounded themselves with their own weapon?

  • @zeleeba8774
    @zeleeba8774 Před měsícem +2

    If Charlie had made a deal with Alastor for her soul, instead of a mandatory favor, he would have got all her power (literally half of Lucifer's powers, for she is his daughter). Sinners increase their abilities and power through the number of souls they have and the power of those souls. Alastor didn't take her soul, apparently because doing a favor might somehow free his soul. With this favor, Alastor can do many terrible things, for example, order her to lose the title of princess and give this position to him, or force her to get married in order to get the status of a prince and rule Hell.
    Charlie has hooves). This is the scene where Alastor is lying on her bed and swinging his legs.

That would be stupid as hell. You can see they're becoming better people with the choices they make, naturally. Which is honestly so good. Nobody is forcing them to try to be better, they're just slowly evolving on their own, while also protecting themselves... she made a good call gathering an army of her own, because the meeting in heaven confirmed to her they are coming for her people and disregarding any progress the residents have made.

    Vaggie lost her wings because Lute rip them off with her bare hands instead of her angelic sword. If she had cut them off instead, then Vaggie's wings would be lost forever. Any damage caused by angelic weapons to angels and sinners (that to not immortals would be irreversible) is permanent. Lute cut off Vaggie's eye with her sword, so the damage is permanent. She ripped off her wings with her hands, the damage is not permanent.

    Alastor is asexual. That's what Rosie was telling, since asexual people are called "ace". The show have already teased that about Alastor, like in ep 1 when Angel said they should do a porn as a commertial with him and Alastor and the latter said "Never going to happen".

    Alastor was a cannibal maniac during his lifetime, but he doesn't look like Rosie and her people, so not all cannibals look the same. This means that Rosie's people knew each other during their lifetime, died at the same time for the same reasons, so they look similar. There is a theory that her people were once a large village (before the episode was released, many believed that they were Irish village from 19th century, but Rosie has an American accent), which died out from hunger and was forced to eat other people, then either they died out of starvation or they were exterminated.

  • @emilyd7713
    @emilyd7713 Před měsícem +2

    "Ace in a hole" isn't exactly a sex joke, but it is a sexuality joke. It refers to Alastor being asexual, often shortened to ace, meaning he experiences little or no sexual attraction. And half the joke is Alastor doesn't get it either. He is, by many (including myself), believed to be specifically AroAce (Aro being short for Aromantic, meaning someone who experiences little to no romantic attraction).

    Vaggie is really a useless character at this moment, but there is one thing that will unite her friendship with Angel (if of course Vivien didn't rewrite her backstory on Earth) because Vaggie is not friends with anyone at the hotel. I don't want to spoil it, but it will obviously be in the distant future, because each season will have 8 episodes unfortunately (each Amazon series has only 8 episodes per season) and in Season 2 her character may still not be revealed normally. The small number of episodes is the problem of the season, but there is nothing to do, because Amazon has installed it and it will continue to be. So one can only hope for more timekeeping per episode in Season 2.
