    I like your commentary during the matches! I wish other old school channels that show matches would do similar. And this format is really great idea to whomever came up with it. I think I will try some brews in this.

      Thanks for the kind words Ross. Yeah I agree - it’s a fun and very thematic format. :)

    3:40 I've always found it weird that the B and W Knights never get to fight on the battlefield. They just have to ride past each other.

      So true i thought the same. It’s not fitting that the black and the white knight can’t ever duke it out!

    Very cool! Monoblack was clearly the favorite, but it shows how crazy Whirling Dervish can be against black (especially when artifacts and mishras are out).
    Neat idea for a format...hope to see more of it!

      For sure. I think as we get more experience in this sub format the power will shift slightly. I gotta hunch that correct play for green is to aggressively mulligan for a starting whirling dervish in this MU. Even going down to 5 cards would likely be worth it. Protection from a color seems broken.😂

      steady G agreed it’s really fun and different to play in - it’s really reminiscent of the school yard magic back in the day lol

      Same. Its probably mostly sentimentality but on the occasions that I see a scene from it - it just still does something to me. The characters, voices and music. I’ve probably seen it at least a 100 times as a kid 😂

    the monoblack deck should seriously consider at least a single copy of hellfire. one sided board wipe leaving all your creatures to attack on an empty board. gets around pro black as well!

    • @RaVNeFLoK
      @RaVNeFLoK  Před 2 lety

      Oh I’d love that! I completely agree. Before the online mono-brew tournament I tried to borrow 3 hellfires but sadly without any luck (I planned to run them with simulacrum). Such and epic card in this creature heavy format. Lovely artwork as well lol

    I feel like the green player's deck would be better with a 4th erhnam djinn, 2 cockatrice (to deal with flyers), and 1 or 2 force of nature. However these cards really increase the mana curve. But they would really help in the mid to late game.

    • @joeb1522

      And 1 desert twister.

    • @RaVNeFLoK
      @RaVNeFLoK  Před 4 lety +1

      Yeah perhaps. I certainly think cockatice has a place in mono green as well. Perhaps some more muscle on the ground as you said with the 4th Ernie and some more force - perhaps some elves of deep shadow alongside the llanowar elves to help ramp those big beaters out.

    Should have animate dead in the black deck so you can block dervish with erhnam

    • @RaVNeFLoK

      Yes! That could be a very interesting card to use in this format for sure as there isn’t a lot of creature removal either.
