    Props for Robbie Kay for playing Peter Pan as a highly scary and threatening villain, despite his one-would-think unassuming boyish looks. The creepy stares and smiles, the hateful glare, the mocking, condescending tone, he nailed his performance like a boss.

      Robbie Kay as Peter Pan is one of the greatest tv villains of all time. You completely bought that he was Rumple's dad, despite Rumple being played by an actor old enough to be his grandad! IMO Robbie should be in more. He is the perfect villain.

    Pan was by far the most effective villain on the show. He was literally able to play each and every main character: Emma, Hook, Bae, the Charmings, heck the Evil Queen and even Rumple himself. And he kept doing it over and over again, staying 2 steps ahead of them all..

      ***** I still think Robert Carlyle is better. Sure Pan was really good at being extremely sinister, but no one can switch between personalities the way Carlyle does with Gold and Rumpel, and be so successful at both portrayals. Hence, why i think Carlyle takes the crown.

      +Kayla Gordineer In JM Barrie's early works - especially Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens - Peter Pan was a dark and villainous child who would bury children alive with little headstones. Only in the later work Peter Pan or the boy who never grew up did Peter Pan serve more as a "hero" than a villain.

    Ok, yeah he’s hot and everything, but can we all please take a moment to admire Robbie Kay’s acting. Like not only does he absolutely SELL an incredibly dark role, has amazing little facial expressions and smirks, nails the emotional scenes and almost makes you feel for him despite everything, manages to somehow make a man who abandoned his own child insanely attractive, but he’s also acting with pretty much and entirely adult cast. I have so much respect for how aggressively he plays his character and how convincing it is that he is Rumple’s father, given the whole age thing. Absolutely insane.

    There's something about Robbie. He's so good at playing an adult in a child's body complaining like a child while not being a child but in a child's body. It's like he perfected the art of "immature adult" as opposed to "immature child."

      It should have been obvious that the guy would have been a terrible father and that Rumple wouldn't be loved.
      Yet because Rumple wasn't the Savior anymore, I guess he had no value to the fairies anymore. If they truly cared Tiger Lily would have kept Rumple. She was his Godmother afterall. She accidentally caused him his mother, but it was her job to protect the boy, yet she chose to just leave him.

    Everyone keeps on calling Rumple a coward but he was brave enough to injure himself so he could stay home and provide for his family. God knows Millah didn't do anything but spend other people's money. He bore the burden of being crippled and shamed so he wouldn't abandon his son like his father did, not even in death. I get him being afraid of being weak though, because he didn't want to be his father. But he at least tried to make up for his mistakes, Peter just glories in being heartless.

      Valerie Diaz Yes, I was basing it off all the previous shows up to this point. Since then he's died, been raised from the dead, lost his son, and his reason to live. I mean, he loves Belle as the only person who ever saw something good in him but he doesn't live for her the way he lived for Baelfire for the last three hundred years. He's going to mess up, it doesn't make him a cowards, it makes him human. And it still stands, Peter Pan is a heartless bastard that never thought of anyone else. Rumple simply has a tiny circle of Belle and Henry, he's not obligated to care for anyone else. And as much as I don't like him killing Hook, it's not really unexpected since they hate each other.

      Ren Dawn Rooks Actually the producers of the series have also said that for Rumple power is a drug. Besides, he had made a promise to the tomb of Bae, to be the man for whom he died, but he broke that promise. Moreover, in his actions showed that still continued to blame the fairies for the fact that he had been separated from his son in the past. And also has fooled everyone into believing that it exceeded what had happened in the past between him and Hook. And Belle in their marriage was clear that she had never wanted that Rumple was perfect. But what he did was beyond the imperfections. And Rumple had believed for years that Belle was dead. But he never stopped thinking about her, for that Chipped Cup has become for him the object most important and valuable of all the stuff he had. And also the fact that to get what he wanted he would leave die all the inhabitants of Storybrooke, shows that has not changed at all, because, with all the things that had done, at least he should learn to have more limits for obtain what he wanted. But instead continues to have no limits. Ok that is dead, then is resurrected to see the death of his son, then he was checked by Zelena, but the part of the control of Zelena was now over. He was also able to avenge his son. And that centravano the inhabitants of Storybrooke with all the bad things that had happened to him? Nothing. So his was more a behavior from turncoats.

    • @crystalizedink4508
      @crystalizedink4508 Před 9 lety +3

      ***** First, the Blue Fairy is evil, maybe not the other ones. But the Blue Fairy is the ultimate villain, who gives a magic bean to a child without supervision. She had to know Rumple was going to hesitate but was she there to kick him in the butte, no. So it's partly her fault, not completely but yeah. If you look in the past episodes, there is an unfair dichotomy of who gets endless help (Snow) and who doesn't get any. Along with the slave labor of the dwarves that are kept in complete seclusion and away from having dreams of their own.
      Secondly, that was all before he was resurrected, that's old black magic. And it does things to the soul. He might have meant it previously but being woken up with necromancy on top of the dark powers of the dagger is more than a human soul can bare without being tainted by it. He was going clean before his death. But those promises changed after he died because he's not the same man. He simply can't be, he's been scarred.
      Third, he's over three hundred year old sorcerer that his wife was treating like a lapdog. While I love Hook and totally ship Captain Swan, I get his willingness in trying to kill him to be free of his curse. There is no reason not to. He is the only immortal stuck in this town and he can't give immortality. So he isn't going to age but Belle will and then she'll die and he will be trapped in their town for the rest of his life. That's a cruel fate. And don't get uppity about the morality of killing people, they all do it. But he's the one that gets crap for it because he's a bad guy.
      So yes, magic is a drug. But he can't escape it. And without it, he' is a crippled man that everyone makes fun off. And Belle, for all her soft heart didn't fall in love with a poor cripple, she fell in love with the Dark One, or what she thinks he should be like.

    P.S. You know what would be really messed up? If Pan was Zelena's father. The bitterness, selfishness, and the "getting off on watching other people fall victim to their own weaknesses and insecurities" sameness between them is too hard to ignore.

    Bruh Peter Pan was such a boss in the show an amazing Villain, and was a breathe of fresh, something not seen in the show that's what made him so exciting because most Villains would panic and be mad but Peter always kept his cool never got mad never panicked always had a backup plan and was always way ahead in his plans and the twist that he was Rumple's father made it even more exciting to watch which I really liked because I always love a good show twist, but why would they show someone like Peter Pan someone who is literally the strongest Character (based on power) why show him so early in the show because if he was that overpowered makes you think shouldn't he be like a Final Boss Villain that they face in the end, I don't know about you, but if I was a writer creating a Character this powerful I would definitely be saving him for the end of the show

      @pickledjellybean5016 Před 3 lety +8

      @@Libertyfirst1776 I think so. Back when Fiona was alive, she was his true love. He probably grew to hate Rumple as Fiona searched for a way to "save him". She most likely became solely focused on Rumple, ignoring Malcome, making him feel alone. They probably also fought. Then when the fairies told him that Fiona died trying to save their son, that was probably the moment any love he felt for rumple turned to disdain. He also doesn't seem like the type of person who ever dreamed of having kids, it was most likely Fiona who initially wanted them, so when she was gone Rumple would have felt like a burden and a reminder that the woman he loved was "dead" because she tried to save him.
      Though Pan does seem to have a bit of a soft spot for him, keeping the doll and wanting to keep rumple close to him in the box (but these could also be self motivated instead of motivated from a place of love). He also offered Rumple to stay with him, which could have been a lie or the truth, though it most likely would have been emotionally abusive, he could also grow to love him in his own narcissistic way if Rumple agreed to join him. Then again Rumple probably would have been used for the curse if he agreed...
      All in all, I think that Once Upon a Time he did love him, but grew to feel burdened by him which turned to resentment.
      Personally I think that Pan could love a child of his own, but only if he fell in love again with true love and all that, depending on the circumstances it's possible that he would even be able to be a single parent to the child without feeling disdain for it. I think the main reason he hated Rumple so much was because of Fiona.
      That will be the end of my Ted Talk, thank you. If you made it this far, congratulations here is your cookie! 🍪
