loved that tiny bit of My Curse you played :P we all have that bit of teenage angst held up
Pretty cool! Thanks for sharing brother!
Been following for a few months. Your content is just fucking killer, dude.
Awesome idea for a show! This Korg reminds me of the Boss ME-50 my guitarist used to use back in 2009.
3:33 Couldn't help but notice Guitar Center Macon. That Guitar Center and Macon, GA go together like BK zesty sauce and hot farts. Once almost bought a Peavey Cirrus 5 string from them online but decided to drive a couple hours to play it first. Banana neck, electronics were failing on it, and the bridge pickup's screws were stripped (humbucker would fall right out if you pointed it towards the ground). Two separate sales reps wouldn't leave me alone about it and I ended up by just buying some strings. At least the Rookery is good stuff out that way.
Hold up. Lol thats the one I believe I bought my son's at in 2006. Macon I remember the store was kinda dead then but I went in and got him the pedal. I'm in WR still. But he plays in Clearwater now and still in AT once a month. Disareyen. His name is Corey Clark. Lol. Wonder if you heard of him.
@@robertclarkguitar I haven't met him. I'm from north GA so that might be the reason why.
Vintage multi FX and modelers! I love goofy weird stuff like this. That Death tone was actually pretty cool.
Do an old Pod 2.0 next, stick the 33 in front and you can do some Nothing covers! I picked one up on eBay recently for peanuts, just for nostalgia’s sake, and when used solely as a preamp (boosted, into a tube power amp and cab) there are some pretty legit sounds in there. There’s some certain ‘unreal’ quality in the attack of line 6 gear that I’ve never been able to replicate with my axe FX, and it has its place.
I posted a few days ago how I acquired a 1.0, and literally just finished filming the video for it! Stay tuned, there's definitely some cool tones under the hood.
Not sure if you've covered it in your video, but i think it can decent if not great as a preamp straight in the FX return of a tube amp head.
The problem with these old units is mostly the cab sim, which sounded like a cheap filter. If you get a good poweramp / cab / miking in your chain, it might yield great results.
I might try plugging my good old KORG AX1500G in my Engl SE Poweramp or my Seymour Duncan Powerstage 170 just for kicks someday.
I also think it can work just for stompbox purposes, in front a real badass rig (OD, clean boost, distortion) or in the FX loop (delay, reverb, ...).
MANN...what a flashback...I had the exact same processor as my first piece of gear. The second processor was the AX300g tho :)))
I had a Korg AX30G, 'twas state of the art...for the time. I semi-regret selling it for nostalgia's sake.
Never heard of this one before!
I still have a Zoom 606! but I lost its power adapter. (it runs on 4 AA batteries though)
It's really crazy to see how far the modeling tech has come!
Lol! I still have this unit! Fun toys.
1:46 HOLY MOUNTAIN !!!!!
@15"06 : ring modulator : IIRR there is one in the intro of Slipknot's "prosthetics" (the first guitar we hear in the song, that sounds weird as fuck, before the second guitar with the gloomy riff kicks in).
I also think there might be some in some Incubus songs, for very crazy sounds. Definitely not something you would put on a regular riff...
Hey man, great video, your channel is sick,
Do you think you could make a video on how you master your songs?
Keep up the good work man!
I have a video planned explaining my workflow for producing music from recording to mastering, though it may be a while. I suck at mastering, so my signal chain generally consists of a limiter, some light multiband compression to tighten the bass and low mids, and a maximizer.
I just picked one up on a Japanese second-hand shop for around $20 (no idea but it was cheaper than any other pedals or effects. Lots of fun so far just wish I could alter the delay speed, seems constant 😀
It does have stereo sound though (trs)... through headphones or a splitter.
Sounds better than the Line 6 Pod
I would hold off on that conclusion for a couple more episodes... ;)
hello... do you think this is ok too on electric violin? thanks
Ring mods we're big in the 90s. The DOD gonkulator.. look it up broski..
I guess you already know for the anouncement of the incoming amp sim suite by It might get loud (and not mercuriall, edit) featuring vadim torranov ...
What are some good alternatives please?
I bought mine for $100+ way back. I still use it..
not the worst digital dist I have ever heard
Ugh. Man...at least the Digitech RP250 was a bomber pedal.
You should reduce bass from your voice
the output is actually stereo believe it or not, surprised me when i read you could use headphones directly, and i tested it and it works, so a perfect headphone amplifier, being able to use AA batteries, pretty awesome, i'm loving it more and more to be honest
