In episode 3, we take the walk from Puerto Rico neighbouring Playa de Amadores in Gran Canaria.
We take you along the promenade from Puerto Deportivo taking in the scenery along the elevated coastal walk to Amadores.
Once we get to the beach, we show you the selection of beach front restaurants and shops on offer. Everything is there for you to spend a day by the seaside. The waters are calm and safe .
We then take in a snack at Portofino's restaurant up towards the Amadores Beach club. We review the food in there before moving on to the beach club. We show you the prices of admission if you chose to try something different away from the beach.
We decide to take up a spot on the beach and relax in the sun and sea.
The following evening, we walk back along the promenade to take in the beautiful sunset and feed cucumber to the lizards on the rocks. We then take some time to take in the sunset.

@@continentalcoxons No it wasn't. And NO gay bars in YUMBO CENTRE either 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂. Thinking of a pre Christmas trip LAS PALMAS is nice with all the decorations up,and reasonably priced too .. HOTEL PARQUE (SAN TELMO) is where I usually stay ..Old town craft market near Cathedral on a SUNDAY morning In WINTER is worth a visit too.ENJOY YOUR TRAVELS ...

We never got to Yumbo during our time there but knew about it.
Think the last time I was in GC was 2000 but never really got to the places I stayed last time.

I have just come bk from GC... I spent a few days in LasPalmas... so nice! I did nit have enough time to visit Maspalomas that was recommended to me by locals.
Maspalomas was nice, nice size beach and obviously the dunes are well worth seeing.
We only got a few hours in Las Palmas but the beach was nice there too. Wpuld have been worth stopping there for a night though and see how it was. Pleased you enjoyed your time there

Yeah we started doing that as it gives people an idea of prices. Was actually going to do a bit in a supermarket to show prices but never got the time.

Yes it was decent in there, although we only stopped in for a quick snack. Maybe if we go back we will try to eat there in the evening.

Thanks for the video. I think the sand is that consistency because it’s mixed with silicone to prevent it becoming too hot under foot. You will see other beaches the sand is very hot.

Been there 22 times now... I was wondering... do you need permissions to fly & record with a drone? I was there with my son in May '23 ( Gloria Palace PR) and took my drone to film but was unsure about local regs so didn't try. That area that was closed off, was a busy diving and "jumping-into-the-sea" spot for tourists and locals back in the 80's and I spent many days of my holidays there waiting for the swell of the tide, then diving in! Sadly...a couple of tourist lost their lives and its been cordenned off for a number of years now. The only way to reach it was to walk along the shoreline from PR because that walkway hadn't been built... neither had the resort of Ammadores. Fond memories of when I was a bullet-proof 20yr old in the 80's showing off to the ladies by showing my diving prowess from that exact spot! Great videos BTW and maybe meet you in a restaurant in downtown PR shopping centre sometime! Booked for May 2024.😎
Hi David, thanks for lovely comments and your experiences in PR. We've had quite a few stories from people since we did these and it's great to hear how others have enjoyed the resort over the years.
Never experienced any issues with the drone, as long as you aren't flying near airports or any military bases you should be OK. I do always try to fly it away from crows/people and stuff too though.
Great video and Drone footage. Do you use the Mavic mini2? and is it just the same regulations as in England Would love to take my drone up in PR. We go about 3 times a year . Just came back from Riu Vistamar last month.
Just use the original Mavic Mini John, would love to get the latest version to be fair, maybe if we start making a little bit of money from the videos?

You can actually do both. It only takes about 20 minutes to walk along from PR and its a nice walk.
The buses will probably run from the Angry Birds adventure park.
Stayed In Amadores 4 year ago we always do the walk along the wall its beautiful. Is the homeless man still there with his dog . The lady at the 60c toilets wouldn't let me go in with my daughter unless I paid as well . She has a fear of getting locked in . I was a bit miffed 😒

Yeah we saw the homeless guy every night near the angry birds adventure park.
That's a bit wrong with the toilets mind. I don't agree with having to pay to go at the best of times, would rather give that money to a local bar or restaurant to be honest.
Yeah it's a beautiful walk along to Amadores, especially at sunset. We were lucky to get a lovely clear evening when we walked along.
