Is there any difference between juice dlab 2022 and juice dlab 2023?

The D-Lab Juice 15m seems heavy at 7lbs. The Ocean Rodeo Aluula Flite 14.5m is only 5.5!!! Please compare the two. My Ocean Rodeo 17m Aluula Flite weighs 6.4lbs. The newer version weighs only 5.7lbs!!! That’s insane for a 17m kite. Not sure why the D-Lab is so much heavier. Thoughts?

You can make those even lighter, it's a durability question. Reinforced elements. Does aluula material come in only single fixed set of properties, e.g. thickness?

@@mikemiller774 I’m not sure about thickness difference of Aluula on the D-Lab compared to Ocean Rodeo. I do know, from owning the Aluula Flite that the leading edge is very reinforced and very durable. Best material I’ve ever used on a kite.

Great question, Jay. 🤙🏽 Personally, I could care less about the weight savings of the SLS and Aluula kites. Where I'm seeing the real benefit is in the frame tension of the kite. The responsiveness is notably faster and more crisp. Again-my personal opinion. Do with that what you will, my friend. -Aaron
