The fact he put himself on the stand demonstrates his extreme narcissism. Terrible decision.
He’s a seasoned lawyer. He knows what he’s doing getting up there.
But his arrogance didn't allow him to have a realistic idea of how he could make himself look like a liar and a greedy bastard who only thinks of himself. I hope he has underestimated the jury.
Exactly
Exactly...Or he wanted to be cross examined by Mr. Waters so he could be involved and try to trip the prosecution up...He wants to challenge Waters...try and show him he is superior...typical narcissism....
His Canned Response is Back firing
The definition of arguing with a narcissist. They will never answer a question
TOTALLY!!
And they will never admit that anything is their fault, unless like this case, they got caught red handed and now, they are looking for sympathy.
Jodie Aias, Dalia Depolito, Darrel Brooks, Amber Heard. Narcissistic PD ++
So true! They dodge questions and try to make nonsense make sense.
Yes, they only answer a question with a question.
He only got convicted because of his sons cell phone video. Imagine what his daddy and granddaddy got away with
Its something about the way that he refers to his son as " Paw Paw" that makes me cringe. Its almost as if he feels he will get some type of sympathy for using it like that. He is truly evil.
Ita. I get secondhand embarrassment every time he uses the fake nickname for Paul. He’s so much dumber than he thinks he is.
Totally agree with you, that and “Mags” and when he was droning on about how wonderful Paul and Maggie were… I kept thinking, yes, too bad YOU murdered them.
Cringe is the correct word. It makes me crazy whenever he says it!
I have the feeling that paw paw would have been mad as hell his father called him that!
@Venus Star i call my kids by nicknames too. My daughter Evie gets called Fee because when her sister was a baby she could only pronounce it Feefee. My other daughter is Anna but we call her Banana or Spangles. Some families just use nicknames a lot.
However, i think his defence team has instructed him to over use Pau-Pau to illicit sympathy from the jury. Its used way too much.
Sometimes I can’t buy much groceries, but I would starve, before I would steal from a crippled person, or anyone else, for that matter. He sickens me.
I couldnt do it either. I would ask or even beg for something before taking from the poor or sick.
Absolutely. He’s disgusting.
Same, idk how people like him sleep at night
Me too! If he would steal proceeds my his housekeepers needy sons and other injured individuals, murdering is just one more step in depravity. He did NOT murder Buster his namesake and heir, so in AM’s eyes, he has preserved his lineage.
I sold my belonging bc my dog needed expensive surgery and he made it❤️This man having 3 houses doesn’t want to admit he’s wealthy bc he stole it!!!
It sucks this guy couldn't value and appreciate what he had and live a decent life as a decent man. What a privileged life to live; career and financial security, multiple roofs over your heads, indulging in travel and hobbies, surrounded by the love of your family and friends, supported by a family legacy. The only things that ever seemed to go wrong in their family was only ever brought on by themselves. Literally living the 'American dream' and turned it into a living nightmare. What a terrifying thing to happen to his wife and son!
It did start with the great grandfather who may have been corrupt and just kept traveling down the generational line.
Even Buster was originally kicked out of law school for cheating.
Both Alex and Buster have lost a considerable amount of weight.
But prison food might do that to you.
They both were looking like the Pillsbury doughboy.
True
Mr Alex is a psychopathic cockroach.
Agree. It was arrogance & self-centered interests. To feel you stand ABOVE all the rest of the community & you can do however & whatever you do (without really getting into trouble) THAT is what lead to this sick mind committing murder & wrecking the legacy of his family, the future of his son (who is an apple not far from the tree) ...
@@WVgirl1959 he said he was killed to I wonder how
Stealing from a quadriplegic I cannot get over the intense greed, deceit, despicable behavior of this so called man.
He had/has no shame. His only shame is he got caught. He thought he was going to get up there and, as a former lawyer, be in charge. AM met his match and I get the distinct impression, when Water’s had to stand so close to AM that he was/is totally repulsed by him.
This one gets to me more than anything. 😥 more so, than the murder of his wife and son. How can you look a quadriplegic person IN THE EYES, being the man who investigated, and prosecuted his case, and got millions in damages, knowing all along he did that work all for himself, as he knew how much he would get in damages. It became his racket! This evil man fought these cases for his own profit. This monster
needs too rot for life. 😠
The whole family...beady eyed weasels...sorry weasels. Weasels have a soul. These people don't.
@@kenzierocks1240 Who's repulsed by who? You mean the Waters is repulsed?
I agree! He's a greedy. Selfcentered POS!! Went from millions to clicking his heels over noodles, beef sticks and cookies he won in jail !!! KARMA🎉
It is incomprehensible that he took the stand! The prosecutor just picked away at the masterful way he could lie straight faced to all of these vulnerable people ……and how could anyone believe anything he said about his son and wife. What a total psychopath.
Same mistake that the legal team of Amber Heard made.
This guy's life is over. He should just come clean and tell the truth.
Nope.. Mistrial
He killed the wrong people/person….
Mistrial does sound possible
You may be right about his "life" being over. It is now over. But conviction is not looking likely.
No matter what this clown is going to prison for a long long time .
dear lord please tell me this jury isn’t falling for this crap. this prominent successful attorney is suddenly confused and stupid and knows crap. please.
Small towns ova here in SC .. they know.
Very rare for ppl to go out on a property like that to commit this kind of crime.
That's why the officer said that the night they rolled up.
The dead give away was the location..
No one is going out on a property with guns to shoot ppl point blank.
And trying to sound like Gomer Pyle.....
He’s acting like he’s unable to understand every question. So irritating.
It’s like he’s acting.
GOd knows and he is where he belongs.
How much Life insurance did he have on Maggie and Paul
Kudos to prosecutor Creighton Waters, and to Judge Clifton Newman. They put this monster, Alex Murdaugh, exactly where he belongs: IN PRISON!
4 mil from a QUADRAPELEGIC still wasn't enough , and we expect this guy to be honest about this?? What a PHENOMENAL job by the prosecutor, completely tore down ALL of his credibility.
....On top of that, he got paid for winning the case as well. All the persons he stole from in relation to a case, he got paid a hefty sum.
this was a murder trial, not a financial crimes case.
The quadriplegic died 4 months later.
Was that the cop?
He carried the badge for a reason. Wasn't a coincidence!!
I watched it live. Prosecutor is exposing how Alex easily lies and robbed the most vulnerable people imaginable. He is despicable
He's a true BOTOM DWELLER !!
Yep ,definitely exposed his narcissistic ways.loved the badge pics. Big red was acting like he was law,
Yes, I agreed. He knew every answer from his defense attorney but now he is kind of argumentative and kind of deflects from the answer. Deflect may not be the correct word but you'll get my drift, I think.
But he's not on trial for that yet...
He had to take an oath when he became an attorney
Alex appears to be playing with the prosecutor, trying to frustrate him. He is a dangerous, evasive, corrupt individual.
He is a lawyer, he would know the tricks!
Classic psychopath,intelligent, charming,no shame,no guilt,lies. No empathy. That's a few off the checklist.
Also, his mouth chewing and sucking on the cam. How in the actual F does ANYBODY like the mouth noise ASMR?! Is so unbelievably disgusting 🤮
Well ...if AM thinks that he's winning this "game" ...he's sadly mistaken! But it's typical of someone with a narcissistic personality disorder to think they are the smartest person in the room!
Not working
It’s literally painful listening to Alex’s responses…all he does is ask the question backwards & repeat the question like he’s confused. This guy is unbelievable.
I can't stand that repetition of questions... He's buying time to think of a lie
Terrible liar he is and exhausting to listen to. It’s amazing to me that he actually won cases as a lawyer.
Yop he repeat almost every question. Such a fox🦊
To me it is painful to listen to the cocky prosecutor, and I completely understand to Murdaughs point of view, trying to get accurate answers to sometimes rather foul questions. The prosecutor is like a snake that cannot grasp the right angle of how to "destroy" his victim. Murdaugh has made really bad things economically, but that certainly do not make him a murderer. And that is the real question, is it not?
He’s a lawyer through and through!
It's painful to hear from him and think about his wife and son. He had it all but not enough for him.
This man wouldn't know the truth if it bit him on the ass. 🙄
Or kicked him in the teeth 😬
Most definitely! He’s the type of person that would lie, cheat, steal and kill to get what he wants AND to cover his behind. Gotta look good for the public.
You must be from Missouri 😁
Narcissistic Pathological Liar
@@Mdeaccosta Alabama 😬
He looks more guilty on the stand than he looked just sitting and listening.
His repetitive "I took their money, money that didn't belong to me, I was wrong to do it, I shouldnt have done it." "I misled people"
"I embarassed my family" "I embarrassed my son Buster"
"I did wrong" .... hurts his case, His "confession" makes his insincerity worse and worse until even the people who started out thinking he was innocent began having doubts.
You know what is missing?
Regret, remorse, apology.
Saying "I did wrong, I stole money" is not saying
"I'M SORRY"
His answers are all regret about getting caught.
judge not lest ye be judged
leave it to the courts. Not the peanut gallery
I was thinking the same thing, he is not sorry about it
@@AC-mp7cx
Do you realize the irony of you judging me 🤣
It's not judgemental to give quotes
"I took their money"
"Money that didn't belong to me"
.... you know what comes next, he said it enough.
That is in fact NOTan apology.
All those cases given and he
NEVER apologized.
Also, what is the peanut gallery?
Those not involved personally?
Are YOU involved personally?
Does that make you part of the "peanut gallery"?
He's trying to come across as a very honest man, admitting to all these things,so the jury will think he's telling the truth about having no involvement in the murders
Admission of guilt does not imply an admission of a guilty conscience.
“Yeah I did it. No I’m not sorry.”
I have never listened to a more frustrating defendant. You can tell he’s lying because he answers 99% of all the questions with a question. It’s infuriating.
Straight WORD PLAY!!
Watch Jodi Arias on cross. She's just as infuriating as Alex.
He's a lawyer!
You are correct
@nutmeg8399 she sounded like a lawyer too! They both are psychopath too.
It is extremely interesting listening to one lawyer prosecute another lawyer. What a beautiful dance of words and knowledge of the system….
It’s a lawyer prosecuting a con man. I don’t think Alex Murdaugh was ever intelligent enough to be a lawyer - he probably cheated his way through law school. He’s good at the art of dodging the truth.
Exactly! Very interesting to watch!
nothing beautiful about this dance, what a waste of tax payers money, Alec is still robbing others for his benefit...
Yes Like our Congress , the liars and thiefs going at it against each other.
Congress is actually worse because they are ALL in it together and it's all just politically theater with We the People as the victims !
Interesting and infuriating at the same time. AM ruined many people even his own family.
I would happily retire on 10% of the money this guy stole.
Me too!!
He is on drugs
😂😂
LMAO
In his mind he earned it. That's the problem with the many sociopaths in the business world, many aren't that different than Alex.
How Creighton Waters didn’t jump over the barrier and throttle this guy shows true resilience. Murdaugh is doing his absolute utmost to be as obfuscatory, as obstructive, and obnoxious as he possibly can. This is a deliberate ploy which any of us who have had to deal with a narcissist recognise immediately.
If you have a person in your life like this, walk away. Do not let them rile you. They thrive from it and if you do grab them by their weedy little necks, you have unfortunately fallen for their little plan.
The constant repetition of Mr Waters’ questions, the pretence he doesn’t understand the questions… it’s all manipulation. He thinks he’s making Mr Waters look silly but in reality he is just making himself look stupid. A person with a law degree not understanding a simple question? This is where Murdaugh shows his arrogance in that he believes the jury is so beneath him, so not as clever as him that they will fall for his manipulation. What he forgot to remember in all this is that the jury were not selected because of their damaged, possibly even abused backgrounds. A narcissistic manipulator will select a partner based on exactly that, because they know they will be able to grind them down.
Congratulations to Mr Waters for his professionalism and resilience in dealing with this specimen. May Murdaugh be isolated from humanity for the rest of his earthly existence.
What a creep . Mr Waters u r a great rep for the state of Carolina.God bless u from Westchester NY

Lolol
He shook his head YES, when he answered, NO he did not kill his wife and Son.

Just another pity party invitation, any old sucker will do.
@@Roxie174 the same as Chris Watts when he did that Interview on his porch when they asked him if he wanted to say anything and he was shaking his head No when he was saying he wanted them home
Mind- blowing level of entitlement.. Alex was fairly confident that he was going to get away with stealing millions from his firm , killing his wife and son, killing his housekeeper and cashing in on her family's insurance money, blaming a kid in a hospital bed for his son's killing a young woman while intoxicated , and so on. Just imagine the things he actually did get away with for decades to eventually end up here.
just imagine how many others just like him are out there right now..
Omg yes I know that rabbit hole runs deep
Only problem with your thoughts is Alex wasn’t there when she got hurt, so would have had to been Paul or Maggie, highly doubt they would murder someone when they had money already , if he had been there then it would have been super Sus

Well said!
Anybody else notice how Alex Murdaugh CONSTANTLY repeats EVERY question posed to him by the prosecutor?
Buying time to come up with an answer. He was a lawyer. He understood those questions. A master manipulator OR so he thought. He met his match!
EDIT: and AM was seething inside!
So smart of a man why would he do something so crazy
He was an attorney so that's what your supposed to do. That's actually smart what's not smart is taking the stand. I don't understand why the heck he would have taken the stand in the 1st place ? that's why i don't believe he actually pulled the trigger ? Because any attorney would say heck no to taking the stand you try to keep your clients off of the stand no matter what.
@@alexwilliams9744 LMAO 😂 you are absolutely correct 👏 wth is wrong with this man he's still saying it wasn't him ? Talk about shaggy 😂 it wasn't me dumbest attorney contest winners
Surely Murdaugh has to clean the questions, which often are dubious and snaky. I am certainly not imposed by the prosecutor. Murdaugh is a really bad embazzler, but that does not make him a murderer. Becoming a murderer craves other motifs, like desperate i.e. shame and powerlessness. Seems he tried to stage his own death to able his son Buster to get at least a fraction of all the circled money in insurance... What a mess.
He’s nodding “Yes” and saying,” No”. Not very convincing.
I am looking forward to the behavior channel diggin their teeth into this video!
That's his baseline, he's done that since the beginning
@W. S I noticed that but he was consistent in doing so much I'm not sure it's a tell.could be tho
Like watching self harm.
Lived on a 1000+ acre property ...earned millions of dollars a year ...not counting all the money he stole on top of that ...and refuses to admit he was wealthy and living a wealthy person lifestyle!
Oh he’s jus a lil ol humble cuntry boy.
😳
I'm surely not an attorney but I understand exactly what prosecution is doing. He wants to put a face behind the money that was taken from them. Wants to show the jury that these people suffered from their losses and their living with medical issues and no money there's one thing to steal money but to steal from a quadriplegic? This is a whole new crime now. Stealing money is stealing money to me. It's different when you steal from a church, charity someone in need.
That really annoyed me. Why try to skirt around something so obvious to everyone?
1,770 aces!
This prosecutor is fabulous I really hope his work is recognised-
Creighton Waters, and Judge Clifton Newman, would make wonderful Supreme Court justices.
Creighton Waters for President: 2028, or 2032?
Creighton Waters for Supreme Court.
I love Creighton Waters. He knows his job.
Alex murdaugh would be great for the supreme court too.
I think Alex restated the questions, pretended to not understand and argued the most minute points of the prosecutor but not to buy himself time but to convey that the prosecutor was inarticulate or unclear in his questioning. It's a manipulative tactic that narcissists use, especially the circular conversations to manipulate the other party into thinking that they are dumb or irrational. It's even a type of gaslighting
Great analysis of this individual and his tactics.
He does think he's smarter than everyone and that was his downfall. That and the fact that he's a murderer.

Incredibly manipulative that he decided to use a nickname for Paul in front of the jury.
I have NEVER heard him refer to Paul as Paupau! And I have listened to every interview and phone call available! He’s doing it for sympathy!
@@victoriaryanlpcpc8075 100% agree.
It's a tactic, he thinks it makes him folksy and relatable, in reality he sounds manipulative and patronizing, he's so vile
I'm so glad, the procecuter called him out on that.
I thought it sounded ridiculous and an obvious manipulation. How many 22 yr old men would like to have nicknames like Paw Paw and Roe Roe. Are they 2 or 22?
If he was at the dog kennel as he now admits, then he ought to know who murdered them.
I'm sure he looks the murderer in the face every morning.
Yes! This is what I've been thinking.
He sees the murder every morning in the mirror as he’s brushing his teeth.
He got up there and tried to bs his way through the questions. Instead of getting sympathy it made him more dislikable for insulting the jury’s intelligence. Not a sign of genuine grief or repentance.
At every single opportunity he had to help other people, he instead chose to help himself and leave them high and dry.
Hey proved his own point. He cared about his son but he killed him anyway. Just like he cared about his injured clients but he stole anyway.
Good point .
Great observation
Great comment 👍
I hope Waters makes that point as well.
This manchild was happy driving around with blue lights!!
He was not just stealing money…he was stealing their quality of life.
Murder is the ultimate theft, taking lives, and now he is trying to steal from Lady Justice.
That doesnt mean he killed his wife and child though....

This prosecution team is absolutely brilliant!!!!!!! Oh my god !!!! They are doing absolutely everything to get justice for the this poor Mother and son !!!! ❤

I wouldn’t say poor when mentioning them.
Poor mother and son? Paul Murdaugh killed a girl while he was intoxicatingly driving a boat and wrecked it into a pier and then his dad tried to corruptly get his son out of trouble. There is also speculation that his wife killed the housekeeper, so they are far from "woe is me". This family ruined lives.
I wouldn't say poor defining Maggie nor Paul they were both just as narcissistic and cold as Alex.
Its difficult to believe that he volunteered to go on the stand.
To sit in the courtroom and refer to Paul as Pawpaw and Maggie Mags, Rogan "RoRo" is utterly ridiculous and just shows disrespect to the Judge, jury and his friend and family. He's playing mind games.
I'm not sure they can call witnesses back, I think they can, but ONLY, for very specific and succinct reasons. I would like them to call back people who KNEW THEM WELL, as a family unit, within the home, like HER SISTER, and find out it he ever went around calling her RoRo and he PaPa. My father had a nickname for my mom, I don't know where it came from, but he called her "Sam." Her name was Phyllis. But that was reserved in use between them, and not used all the time. It was a term of endearment. Not over used, etc. and most people that knew them, would NOT, know that, and he would never in this type of situation use it. (God forbid.)
He's using nicknames to give the perception of having affection for them. He's not only a liar, he's a mhrdr.
@@Star-Mac10 YES you indeed are correct. But it is CLEVER, this liar coming up with such BULLSHIT.
AM way of trying to garner the jury’s sympathy. Didn’t work. This is my second time watching this and I’ve come to the conclusion that AM is not the sharpest tool in the shed and/or his memory is somewhat clouded by drugs but I think he has a convenient memory. However, he met his match.
It's really sad to see that he destroyed everything his ancestors built. He should be ashamed of that, but more importantly I believe he killed Maggie and Paul because of Greed.
It's good that he destroyed everything his ancestors build they are all crooks that put innocent people in jail

reasons he did it.. life insurance would've been huge for them both and if his family was murdered than most likely the people wouldn't come after him in court for the millions he stole because even though he did something bad stealing money, losing his family would be more horrible.. the man has twisted mind.. who finds his wife and son murdered but shows no sadness, kept asking cops are you sure they're dead, not please tell me they're alive or will live, is someone trying to save their lives, are they going to make it, no he said are you they're dead because if they survived they could tell everyone he did it..
he said he wasn't there but was because of a video Paul shot, he told the caregiver of his mom to lie about how long he was there and he would pay for her wedding, the spot where his wife's phone was he slowed down at the right spot, so many lies.. why wouldn't he be mad, upset and trying to find the killers, why did he stay there if they were just killed, what if the killers came back.. he's on the stand because he wants to show the jury he's a good father.. he started calling his son pau pau and there is no video or evidence showing him calling paul that.. he wants them to feel bad so they rule in his favor.. he's a sicko who deserves the chair.. even if he didn't kill them he deserves to be in jail for life for taking advantage of people and stealing money from friends/coworkers

Him claiming he took so so many 30 mg of oxycodone on a daily basis , and he simply was overweight , then he looses so much weight when he kills the wife and son and went into rehab? I have a hard time understanding. I get he was scared for once in his evil life and all his horrible things he had done, but to take as many mgs daily of oxycodone daily and he was overweight ? Alex considers the only people important right now to be the jury & himself, not the deaf quadriplegic whose ventilator was found unplugged, the numerous teenagers who lost their parents then their homes, the parents of the teen found dead in the middle of the road with his head bashed in (Alex allegedly wore “his badge” & entered crime scene), the cop who lost his job bc his report showed Paul was driving the boat that killed Mallory Beach, not to forget how many of millions he stole from those victims & others.
He literally things he can talk his way out of all of it. Why else would you take the stand in these circumstances?
The amount of money in check's to his drug dealer Eddie was either money laundering or Alex was dealing the drugs to others. 20-30 thousand dollars is not the cost of one person's opioid addiction. Period.
Maybe he lived a triple life & has 15 other kids!!
Or he was invested in the drug trafficking and got paid back in drugs and cash.
Generational bootleggers !!
Or he was just that stupid re the drugs and Eddie saw a cash cow.
He was somehow involved in drug trafficking. Nobody spends $50,000 a week on opioids for their private use. I don’t doubt that he spent a lot of money on drugs for himself, but not that much.
This is definitely a tragedy! So many lives destroyed literally! I can't believe the shear audacity of this man! To murder your own family than act like he's a victim is frightening! I know in my heart he's guilty as sin! Prosecute do your thang!
This is brilliant. At first I was wondering why they’re questioning him about this financial stuff on a murder trial. BUT now I see why! He lies so good that they want to show the jury how inconsistent he is and how great he is at lying
He’s basically a piece of crap!
“Did you steal money from a paraplegic?”
“No sir, he was a quadriplegic”
Bruh…
🤦🏽♀️
Really 🤪🥵🥳
No disrespect but you seriously had me cracking up with your comment...What an ASSHOLE he is huh ???
What a tool
he said he was holding the money for him until he got back on his feet
Anytime he goes to lie he starts magically not knowing anything or even stuttering…. But when asked about his grandfathers he knew dates , lengths of time and all the details clearly.
Immediately after the murders he stated all names, birthdays, where he'd been, how long on time frames, phone numbers from memory, so not buying he can't remember all the stolen $, where it was spent as well.
He lien
That's because it's hard for a liar to remember what they have already lied about. It's difficult for them to remember what they have "made up", as opposed to remembering the truth.
My favorite part was when he referred to Paul as 'Pa Pa'....like he didn't just blow his head off. This lawyer wasn't having any of that nonsense. Pa pa?? Have you ever referred to him as that during this trial. 😂
I’m pssed off just hearing him talk about how he fd these people over. Omg. If a person will lie, cheat, steal they will dmn sure kll.
This is what real evil looks like. They are well off, influential, well educated, pillars of society, and master manipulators.
They are not pillars of society at all. To be a true "pillar" of society requires that you act rightly and are upstanding. They are anything but. They are/were wealthy and it is all coming to an end. Yes, it is one of the faces of great evil - the love of money - and all it buys - pride, etc. From all I am reading it seems that they are / were so cold. Brenna
💯
It turns out he wasn’t well off
who else is like that? Oh yes, our governments (well they are in the UK, no matter which side of the aisle). When greed takes over, all bets are off and these people are relentless. Nothing is too much for greedy people.
@Brenna J Lawrence They certainly convince others that they are "pillars of society".
He is trying to make himself small and politely humble with his vagueness
You are 💯 right.
It’s sad I dealt with someone for a short time like this man. He was very deceptive, a liar and a thief. Narcissistic patterns to the T. I’m so glad I got away from him.
How can a "man" sit there in front of his youngest son and not be complete broken up? And it's just like nothing is wrong in his life....HE KILLED HIS WIFE AND SON!!! They'd have to put me in a straight-jacket to even sit there in the courtroom if I was not guilty.
Virtually this entire interaction is a great example of why people hate lawyers
AM has not been humbled. He is still arrogant and thinks he can shiinny talk the jury just like he did to his clients.
His memory for certain facts is extraordinary but when it comes to his conning people he just goes “I can’t remember those details”.
Very discerning comment. Thanks 👍
Yes,, he is leaving himself an escape hatch of plausible denialibility. He is also trying to convince the jury that he is a victim for their sympathy. He has learned that with all his wrongful death and injury cases that jury sympathy is your best weapon.
I truly hope I’m wrong, but reasonable doubt is creeping in. There is a ton of circumstantial evidence, but a hung jury wouldn’t surprise me. Again, I hope I’m wrong. Just so much smoke, mirrors, and mid-direction.
Conveniently..
When corruption goes back this far u r convinced that u have the right to behave this way Above the law cause you are the law. 🤡🤡🤡🤡It doesn’t get much better than this. I know lindsey Graham is ducking and dogging folk on the hill. This is the hall gossip I’m told. SC’s finest. 🫣🫣🫣🫣
My goodness this is painful to listen to-stealing from all those people! All were done wrong but especially the quadriplegic man! That just tore me up! In that man’s situation $400,000 doesn’t go far.
He is a masterful talker, but this prosecutor is more than his equal.
Alex is getting frustrated to say the least… love this prosecutor… he’s getting under his skin👍
The prosecutor , can’t stop asking you would agree or is that correct.
Nailed AM withwearing a badge in the hospital after his son ...Paw Paw ... just killed Mallory Beach while driving drunk ...at 3 times the illegal alcohol reckless and careless accident!
Alex is the kind of person that will have you thinking that YOU are crazy. As I’ve sat here watching this I’ve almost thought I was misunderstanding or that I am not listening well. But NO this man is crazy! I’m so happy there’s people like Waters who are experts and know how to deal with people like this. I don’t think I would’ve been able to have a conversation with Alex and not lose my sh** in the process. It’s wild! Alex repeats the same statement so many times and I think to myself is my mind playing me or is he literally repeating the same damn answer. It’s crazy
And yet his family couldn't say one bad thing about him
Amazing how they could turn a blind eye to his wrong doings
He tries to pretend he’s so honest by saying that he doesn’t dispute stuff from the prosecutor’s statements but it’s a ploy to make him appear nice.
His memory is convenient.
He thinks if he owns up to every single thing ExCEPT "that" then the jury would find him credible.
Exactly. He is a master manipulator working the room, he is trying to endear himself to jury. He knew exactly what he was doing when repeating his key phrase. I do think though that the point was made and need to change subject off this beaten to death topic.
Let give him the benefit of the doubt
@@rogerdread38 You again? He doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt. That's what the defense is hoping for, reasonable doubt from a gullible jury.
He didn't realize that his badge was conveniently hanging out of his pocket when he was at the hospital after the boating accident. Yeah, right.
Agreed!! I CALL COMPLETE BS!!! He’s obviously not a stupid man yet simple questions he stammers like an idiot!!
Ikr. Earnest T. Bass was funny. Remember when he had a crush on Thelma Lou, or was it Helen.?
Front and center on the dash too.
He keeps repeating the question the state asks which means he is trying to formulate a lie to answer.
Can we talk about how three generations of a family can all be chief prosecutor in the same area? That's nepotism if I've ever seen it!
😂
He is trying to sound so humble. It is sickening.
Creighton Waters has waited his whole career for this moment…and I’m here for it.
No one in their entire family is or was humble.
You missed it…”trrryyying”
Yay, me too.
@@hotvegas2498 ~ Lying, stealing, cheating, and MurDuh -- Even a badge to get outta jail free!
Sickening. This happens all over the USA with 'entitled' families.
Buster went to Vegas with his gf, while Alex shudders they took a commercial flight!
*Shudders*! 💩
Absolutely 💯
This prosecutor is freaken amazing. love this guy. absolutely methodically dismantling him.
Starts off slow and soft, then literally breaks him down and tears him into tiny pieces, leaving him completely vulnerable and allowing him to dig his own grave! 😮
Water’s reminded me here of the saying “an iron hand in a velvet glove” ~ gentle yet forceful and determined.
Prosecutor is useless since he can't break through his responses. He doesn't know how to break down someone that's a better lawyer.
His only job is to prove the truth thereby proving the lies of the defendant- unlike the Casey Anthony prosecutors- Waters was successful in his one job - and Alex will NOT be able to con his way out of this one
When Alec wants to sound dumb and forgetful and innocent he is saying" you know, um um, you know, um um, you know. I'm one of you." He starts sounding a little different even confident when he gets rolling and thinks he's convincing jury...Drama with a toggle switch. ALEC MUDAUGH...PURE EVIL 😈 Seems there is no shortage
How in 13 years did they not catch it at the firm????
“I don’t remember a One Million Dollar loan”. How absurd!!!. Hopefully the jury is seeing thru this ridiculous testimony. It’s agonizing listening to him & his not remembering anything.
He remembers .🙄
He Probably did loose count after screwing so many people over for YEARS! What a POS
His family more of less owned and run things in that whole region for so long, I'm surprised anyone has the guts to testify against him while there's even a one in a million chance he'll go free. Things don't go well for people who run up against the Murdaughs around there.
On the flip side ....if you are missing up to 10 million bucks and it takes you A DECADE to discover it....did you really need it????? I think not. If I am missing 85 cent, I know it by laundry day and search all the kids and they all get a whooping and punished until it is returned. And my kids are all adults...
hes gonna have many years in jail to remember all his bs
Man, they say a liar always repeats your questions, before answering them....to give themselves time to come up with an answer. He is not fairing well with this observation .....at all.
Great point
The eyes are the window to the soul, so they say. These dead eyes. The number of people he destroyed by his lies - I don't think he'd care about. All he cares about is himself and seeing so many real victims WHO HE STOLE FROM. His narcissism told him he could actually PLAY a victim. He was wrong.
"I lied to my clients, i stole I misled my clients "tactic is really wearing me down.
This prosecutor is a true professional and he is prepared. He is relentless and one can't help but be thankful he is on the prosecution side. I am thankful he is a dedicated public servant!!!
He wants a check
he's of a dying breed unfortunately ... can you imagine GenZ attorneys trying to be like that...not likely
Blessed he’s getting a check regardless; not from this case. Prosecutors receive a salary 🤦🏼♀️
@@greeneyedsoutherngirl6468 duh. You aren't saying anything I don't know
@@blessedblessed5018 then why say it you made no sense duh you really think he went hard bc of a paycheck that is minimal for public servants they don’t get paid like Alex murdaughs type lawyers so why would you say it if you already knew that. Just say you opened your fat ugly mouth too soon speaking I’ll for no reason at all but to be a biich go fook yourself
He says he "still cares about the people that he cared about the most" that he hurt. His crocodile tears are for himself alone in the murders of his wife and son. This prosecution is burying Alex who is physically caving in. I hope he confesses, but a true narcissist won't.
Right. A narcissist will never take responsibility for their actions.
He believes his lies..
@@kasperorganics-organiccott6881. Never! This right here is a perfect example
This guy confess? Lmao. Get serious. This isn’t TV. The jury is going to have to make the decision whether they buy into his sob story bs performance today Or whether they see through it.
Coaching by Statler and Waldorf.
I'm kinda troubled that he drove around with a badge on his dashboard & in his cup holder. Serial killers are known to do this. Hope his vast property was gone over real thoroughly. This guy is capable of anything after what was proven he did to his own son & wife.
And the blue police style lights on his car. This guy is absolutely nuts.
I thought alex WAS a serial killer.
I read the police are going to check the dove field where he mentioned he and Buster were planting seeds. Maybe they’ll find a body or two.
Alex pretends not to understand questions from the prosecutor but he understands his lawyers with ease.
His constant ability to NOT remember something then then all of a sudden, he has clear details about something else on the same event. Great cross examination of Prosecutor. "How many times did you practice this answer because you keep repeating it?" LOL!!
A slick way of pleading the 5th without actually saying it. 🤣🤣🤣
I belive Alex plan here is to look guilty.too cover UP for the totally corrupt family .because I belive he planned Paul's murder whis his father.and now the only thing that matters is to keep his fathers name clean.so buster and John Martin can keep on living their corrupted life's.
Let's not forget his housekeeper's suspicious death and he helped himself to the money that should have gone to her kids! Kill once, easy to kill again.
hes a liar over and over. Guilty as hell
Innocent
Reasonable doubt is all it takes.
The way he says - I stole money and it was wrong - like it’s nothing…….
How frustrating it would be to question this man. How can it be that difficult to answer a question directly without dancing around it or repeating the question first. Oh Lord my patience is wearing thin just listening to it lol
I'm surprised his legal team did not tell him to stop doing that, because it only made him look like he was trying to fool the jury.
My father was given a honorary deputy sheriffs badge for giving large donations to the sheriff’s office. It looked exactly like a real sheriffs badge if he flashed it. I asked him why he carried it with him all the time and he said “It gets me into places others can’t and it gets me out of trouble that others can’t”. I love my dad but that that was just not right.
I’m assuming that Alex used it to his advantage, as well.
really good point
That’s what he said right there on the stand. He would want other law enforcement to see it because it had a “warming effect” mmmm hmmm
At least you’re an honest individual
That's why his kid never spent a day in jail for that boat incident. The badge.
I carry my (old) Hospice Badge in my car. Works like a charm. :) Works better than the County Badge I currently have. LOL
I have compassion and respect for tolerant patient focused prosecutor
The way he answers questions is MADDENING!
I love how he thinks acting like this on the stand is going to make him look good to the jury. Being painfully difficult on every single question. What an insufferable narcissist this man is.
Your obviously a yankee
This guy is inteligent and dangerous. He knows exactly how he has to talk…. This guy had everything, but never enough. So many people suffer bc of him. Its terrible 🙏🕊🕯
Agree, he can weazel his way around giving yes or no answers and make it seem like he did nothing by admitting he did it and saying it was wrong as if it simply can be waved away and excused as if waving a majic wand! What a sociopath!
Intelligent or possibly nepotism/favoritism, linkology?
I question his intellect in the light of his alledged offenses....how does an intelligent LAWYER ever expect to get away with this, a double homicide of his own family. The procescutions motiv sounds rediculous...but then again this dudes whole life sounds rediculous
He met his match with the prosecutor. He even called out Alex for all of a sudden starting to use Paul’s nickname to gain sympathy
It doesn't make him a killer and the case isn't over
He wants those questions to stop because it shows exactly how cold hearted he is.
This family was so blessed financially but so cursed mentally and it's sad that the devil prevailed.
How Alec ever became a criminal lawyer is beyond me.
He is a snake oil salesman .... perfect job would be a criminal lawyer.
Family connections, my guess.
Because he thinks like a criminal.
