- Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona tells "Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan" that he believes that once former President Donald Trump is "done and gone," the Senate Republicans who, once Trump denounced it, abandoned the immigration bill will once again support it.

During his candidacy announcement speech in June 2015, Donald Trump first proposed the idea of building a wall along America's southern border, adding that, due to his real estate experience, he was uniquely qualified for the job:
"I will build a great wall -- and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me --and I'll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words.
He also promised to get an infrastructure bill passed, but even with two years of congress control he couldn't get it done. And he was going to get rid of the Affordable Care Act. Again, couldn't do it, although that was lucky for the millions of ACA users who live in red states, as trump had no plan of his own. He did lower the taxes of corporations though....
He took $5 billion dollars earmarked for housing for military families. He gave all that money to his building buddies to build a wall. They had to come up with a few different plans. People went under that wall that was built, people went over it, then went through it. Then the darn thing fell over. The builder buddies kept the 5BILLION. We got nothing.

I may be wrong, but it seems like a lot of GOP politicians support - or, at least, refuse to condemn - TFG out of fear for their own futures. If he wins and they didn't support him, what then? As the polls start to swing toward Harris, it seems GOP leaders are starting to come out of hiding and speak more openly about their experiences with him.
