Ryu Hayabusa became my favorite character in videogames after he muttered this famous line. A line I more or less I recite to myself whenever I feel weak. “My strength comes from my training, not some curse in my blood” - Ryu Hayabusa
What is funny about that line is that while he doesn’t have a curse, he does have the blood of the Dragon Lineage, which DOES help make him stronger.
@@DigitaltYT AND technically, the blood of the Dragon Lineage does originate from the same power if I'm not mistaken. And it is kinda confirmed-ish by Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2's Prologue, The Vampire War.

@Costa it's only because people don't rate dead or alive so people dismiss him and other dead or alive characters even though they're OP. Most players in the FGC cant put their biases aside and admit Ryu, hayate, ayane and Kasumi are stronger than most fighting game characters

What's scary about all this is that we haven't even seen Ryu peak yet. He's never had a fight where he's truly struggling. Anyone he comes across he claps, enduring at most a couple of scratches and dinks.

@@Hunt563 also, remember the Peregrine Falcon spirit is always with Ryu and that thing revive him once. I'm not saying it will happen everytime Ryu dies but.....
@@seankillar123 it was the very 1st time Ryu encounter a Fiend. Probably the fact that the Peregrine Falcon revive him unlocked Ryu's potential or he just didnt know how to react.

We need a NG4, but I would love a not lineal level designe like 2 and 3, but a closed open world like NG Black where You can return to previous areas, with more items like the bracelets
I would be interested in a Ninja Gaiden type game, but with the ability to include the DOA Ninjas as well, and do a true co op story with them to face off against some big baddy. Also, I love the idea of a NGB style world where you can come back to areas.
Ideas for a new Ninja Gaiden
Open world like Spider-Man
But with more vast maps to explore
Returning weapons: Dabilahro, Falcon's Talons, Blade of the Archfiend, Eclypse Scythe, Kusari-Gama, Tonfa
Special collectibles: Dragon Talismans that each have a different Gem. around 30 of each and each one can be used in numbers to upgrade a certain weapon/ninpo
Ninpo combinations: Ninpos oughta be combined to make powerful results like inferno with wind blades or piercing void with fire wheels
Dragon grade weapons and ninpo: Dragon talismans can be used to fully upgrade weapons and ninpo for more power and manifesting themed dragons.
Examples: A Dabilahro dragon could look like an infernal demon dragon that slashes and burns a wide area of enemies.
And a wind blade dragond could smash the ground three times making wind blade bursts
Some added combat features: Maybe take a few elements from Devil May Cry and Bayonetta
Giant enemies and bosses: Some bosses being giant like Shadow of the Colossus as well as some large enemies.
Optional bosses: These bosses would be the hardest which include gods and dragons
Stealth: Stealth similar to Spider-Man and Mark of the Ninja
Customization: Similar to Naraka Bladepoint.

Agree. Devs need to make karma runs great again. Look at the people still running NGB, always finding more clever ways to max out points and speed with skills and smarts.

I had fun with the games, but the bad times for me were really really bad. Actually NG reminds me of cheese, you either really like it or you really hate it. And I really liked it, but omg just so many times and fights that did nothing but annoy the actual hell outta me lol. Before someone says mad cuz bad, I still regularly play the game and I'm doing a Master Ninja run rn so no I'm not bad per say jus real annoyed lol

Ironically I think every final boss in the 3D series gets half their power from his blood.

Vazdah , the Archfiend, was brought back to life in his true form at the end of NG2 by Ryu's blood. A tiny drop fell down onto it's corpse and it rose again. His blood may not be cursed, but is definitely a source of power.
@@secondlifestuffs Knowing how Doku mentions of Dragon Lineage were utilising manipulation of powers similar to Fiends (but at purifying and extermination level), I think Dragon Lineage acts as counter-balance to hellish corruption of Dark Dragon alongside the remains of dark deities that seep into said Dark Dragon, well until Ryu broke that Dragon's powers permanently at the end of Ninja Gaiden Black/Sigma and he has to fought remaining fiends (then Ninja Gaiden 3 plot and lore brought the idea of how Fiends can be created artificially from harnessing hell powers and Dragon Lineage's genetics or something, though Ninja Gaiden 3 narrative execution and general presentation was really bad)

Taking down the dark dragon is actually one of the greatest hits in the series as The deity of evil Vigoor and according to one of the books,

Yet not only did the 13 dragons defeat him but the dark dragon defeated all of them.
This would have to Place ryu with the true dragon sword at universal+ and depending on how you take the line “ ignoring the very concept of the time” his speed could be insane.

Compared to other OP charcters like Dante, Bayonetta, Kratos, Raiden and others, Ryu Hayabusa is very Underrated and gets underestimated alot. He's an Underdog

Years ago, I had seen Death Battle's Strider Hiryu Vs Ryu Hayabusa and much like most Death Battles, they severely underestimated Ryu. I mean this guy has mystical bracelets, a sword that can kill gods, endured multiple curses which were supposed to kill him, and he can swing swords 4 times his size without breaking a sweat. Hiryu is part of a futuristic military organization of ninjas, every one of his weapons is technology weapons, yet they gave Hiryu the win.
i remember they didn't count ng3 and yaiba and ng:ds, they should make a rematch!
Well back then their research was a bit flawed compared to how they do things now. That episode was wrong from the get go and you can tell just from watching the analysis, they left out a bunch of things.

I did. I'm just hoping that they can make a possible NG4 in the future. I'm a big fan and have played all current games on original Xbox, and further consoles. There's always a possibility. Here's hoping for that. lol
Nice! At some point I need to do the last boss on Yaiba, and then the NES games. But yeah, we can only hope that NG4 becomes a thing in the future. Will be interesting to see what Team Ninja does next.
Basically what Dante from Devil May Cry can do as an immortal half-human/half-demon, Ryu can do as a pure human. That badass guy just tears everything to pieces with his raw strengh and can resist curses by basically not giving a shit. And you left that guy without a new game Team Ninja???!!!

The true dragon sword is also confirmed to warp reality and is why Ryu doesn't keep the DS as the TDS all the time

Ryu's skin is also Dragon Scale hard. It's why he can take a rocket blast to the face, and laugh at you.
And the fact he can move at the speed of light, with the flying swallow attack, means anyone in a one vs one duel against Ryu, is basically dead.
Slow cumbersome Kratos, against speeding-bullet Ryu? Kratos would be a puddle of offal, before he even knew what hit him!

Hmm. I’m curious on where the statement is on the dragon scale skin, would be cool to read more about. Also, while I love Ryu, Kratos has incredibly higher scaling. Either way, hopefully you enjoyed the content.
Kratos is a literally God. His stats are scaled way higher, for gameplay purposes it’s “slowed/scaled” down for a reason

And Ryu beats a literal God in Ninja Gaiden 3. I've no worries about Ryu beating slow, cumbersome Kratos.
Kratos is tough, for sure. But entry-level Valkyries can one shot him. He's way overrated. And Ryu doesn't have stats. He doesn't 'scale' at all. He doesn't need to. He just ups his weapons. Look how tough Ryu's great, great, great grandfather Jin is, in Nioh? He just one-shots you, over and over.
Even lore-wise, Kratos is pretty mediocre. Who lost a one on one with a barbarian, and sold his soul to Ares, before the killing blow. I'm not that impressed with him.
I'm just talking pure ability here. Ryu leaves him for dead.

Plus Kratos was a human, even in the story of GOW1 he wasn’t a god, he became one with the help of the gods and Pandora box.Also Kratos isn’t that nerfed as you think, apparently in newer GOW it’s said that he’s holding back

I actually like his you described how the Vigoorian emperor distorted reality. You see, I made a song called master ninja. and I could barely find useful dialog to make my song complete. But using this as a reference. I can perhaps create my own storyline and use it as a voiceover within the track. You have definitely found a new subscriber 😍

As terrible as Yaiba was as a Ninja Gaiden game, it did an incredible job of depicting Hayabusa as this sort of demi-god and unbeatable foe.

I'm pretty sure Itagaki's directed and written Ryu Hayabusa can permanently kills the 4 chaos gods of Warhammer 40K at this point, considering of how much inhuman and even both anti-hell and anti-pantheon feats he committed since Ninja Gaiden Black, not even chaos Primarchs and fully powered C'tans can goes through the insanity of Vigoor Emperor's reality warping, Ninja Gaiden 2's enemy spams, able to withstand curses and remain uncorrupted then able to kill gods and goddesses comparable to Biblical Antichrist and whore of babylon lol
Itagaki's era of 3D Ninja Gaiden lore is already bonkers and unhinged that if he's hypothetically managed to make NG3 and NG4, he would directed it on ridiculous levels, though his falling out with Tecmo/Team Ninja was tragic tbh

I put him between Tier 5 & 4
In alot of battles, Hes very underrated and gets underestimated alot. People dont realize how powerful And OP he is, Hes not just a Normal regular Ninja
But i do say that His speed in Reflexes, Reaction Timing and Combat are FTL+, His Travel speed is Hypersonic
I wonder if Team Ninja will ever revisit the series properly. Razor's Edge was a nice redemption after vanilla 3, it wasn't great but it made the game so much more enjoyable.
At least they have been fleshing out the Hayabusa clan's history with things like Niōh and Ronin (I think...? Haven't played Rise of the Ronin yet).

Damn, I was really hoping that there loose interpretation to Hayabusa a universal buster like the rest of the stylish action characters. That's so infuriating.
Technically I'm sure the argument can be made. Gurdu was the first Deity, who created Vigoor (the first evil deity). Vigoor's prupose was to rule all in a Fiendish Universe. Vigoor had split into 4 entities, including the Serpent, Deity of Creation. Who created the 13 Divine Dragons that stopped Vigoor and the evil entities. Who then were defeated by the Black Dragon, who was defeated by Ryu with the True Dragon Sword. I'm sure I can work on a video describing the events that take place before Ninja Gaiden Black. Let me know.

DigitalT, Ive always loved my boy Ryu hayabusa, Hes My all time favorite Ninja & one of my favorite Characters in gaming but doesn't get as much credit as alot of other video game characters and gets underestimated alot
While he's not the strongest out of the hack n Slash characters like Kratos, Dante and Bayonetta, but imo Hes the most skilled and balanced character due to his intense and extensive training both physical and mentally, ever since his childhood, he's No Joke as he's always calm and Never let his emotions get the better of Him while in battle
his greatest skill and feat attribute imho is his SPEED, Honestly he's more of a speedster type character. Although His travel speed is at Hypersonic to Massively Hypersonic+ level, His speed in Combat, Reaction Timing, & Reflexes are at FTL+ level, so yeah he's that Fast
this is interesting to me which is why i love him, unlike alot of hack n Slash video game characters he doesn't have or need a kind of boost power up to increase his speed power and other attributes as he's that skilled
Ryu is up there for one of my favorite video game protaganists as well. Compared to other hack n slash characters like Dante and Bayonetta, yeah, he is more controlled and realizes the threats that are before him. Glad you found the video, and hope to see you around more.

Technically the Hayabusa you fought in Nioh 2 is Ren. This video is on Ryu, a descendant of Ren Hayabusa. But yeah I had to outlevel Ren when fighting him
