- We've tested the sharp-looking sports coupe from Peugeot, the RCZ, intended to rival the ubiquitous Audi TT.
The top of the range GT model, tested in the video, gets 19-inch alloys and there's lot of personalisation options, including matt black roof arches.
Aside from the new RCZ R, this THP 200 is the fastest in the range. That means a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 200 bhp hits 62mph in 7.6 seconds with a top speed of 146mph.
Despite being a sports car, inside the cabin is comfortable for a daily driver. This low-slung seat adds to the sporty appeal, while you'll never need to over reach to the controls for infotainment or air con.
The RCZ is a genuine competitor to the incredibly successful Audi TT, as well as other players like the Volkswagen Scirocco and Nissan 370Z Nismo. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I have the R in red, beautiful car, and fun to drive
The RCZ is so beautiful and the wipers are a selling point as well as being cheaper than an Audi TT or a Mazda MX5
My Rcz on the channel has more than 70 videos of him czcams.com/video/xB_1iSnw4ds/video.html&feature=share9
Can l ask anyone who is at present driving an RCZ lm tempted to buy a 2014 , l ve driven it and love it even though lm going back in years , an issues for instance?
Hi can you tell me what size car battery a rcz peugeot takes?
What happened to Rachel????? She is barely seen and its been well over a yr now.
I own this car hahaha.
It’s a beast
2021
I loved it because it has manual transmission. :D
2:38 - 5th to 3rd gear with no rev matching - lucky it was in low revs otherwise it would have been a nice slide on a rainy day :)
If you watch carefully the driver looks at the gear-lever after the change and seems to wonder what gear she is in.
The RCZ gear change has limited movement and something of an artificial feel so if you are near to the car I sympathise !
@@davidfoster1762 ended up buying a new Honda Civic 1.5 sport plus with 182 bhp.
I own a RCZ , recently bought.
It’s replacing a Fiat Coupe 20 VT .
But it won’t really as the Coupe is more fun to drive and has a very sweet , torquey and characterful engine . 23 years old though with all that that entails.
@@davidfoster1762 I didn't went for RCZ for few reasons:
1. they stopped manufacturing them long time ago so lease plans were out of the option
2. used ones that are selling here in Serbia are all around 150.000 km on the clock, but the real mileage is probably much higher, and you can see from pictures that some of them had accidents
3. after consulting with my mechanic (and few other ones) where I maintained my 308 II (which has diesel engine) and based on experience of other people 1.6 petrol engines that are in RCZ and DS3 are quite problematic and unreliable especially if you do high mileage like me.
4. I decided to go for a bigger car since I realized that 308 II is becoming a bit small for my wife + kid
All in all if I was your age, and wasn't doing high mileage it would definitely be among my top picks (if #2 wasn't an issue as well).
Interesting comments about the RCZ. My car is 50k miles , say 80k kilometres , and I believe genuine .
I understand that post 2012 RCZ ( mine is a 2015 ) petrol engines were modified to increase reliability although how that was done I don’t know.
The camshaft chain , and guides , are a weak point but exactly why I don’t yet know. Is it mileage or engine abuse or poor oil or insufficient servicing or the plastic chain guides failing due to age ? Or some of those issues combined ? The simplicity of a camshaft belt compared to a camshaft chain does appeal.
My age ? Have a guess !
But you can't put people in the boot
Yeah that's a proper dealbreaker lol
that's where you're wrong kiddo ;)
Another good review.
Good girl.
Is she reading from a script?
She's gorgeous the car however is OK lol.
It's much better then bmw for sure!
