This video was uploaded in 2006, that was around the same time a planet was properly defined (gravitational rounded, not undergoing fusion, in an orbit around a star, having cleared its orbit). And he did say that a planet is round and smaller than a star, which is on the way to the current definition of a planet.
This is exactly how i pictured this going down. NASA folks may seem high brained, but really it’s generally a bunch of super passionate folks that are all about education. You have only to bring your curiosity, which Ali did inadvertently by asking questions.
Ali G never stops making me laugh. He is a genius and i wish he would make some more videos. I’ve never seen that clip before and it really cheered me up. Thanks for uploading this video footage. Respect 👊🏻

Sacha is EASILY the single smartest and funniest comedian EVER. Every bit of fun he creates is just SO spot on. He exploits maybe 95 % of the theoretical fun potential again and again. Amazing talent. I can only imagine how relatively unfunny anything I'd try would be compared to him. Respek! :-)

Track doesn't suggest it's fake laughter, it's just an additional audio track, as in the 8 tracks in an 8 track. As I understand it, they would want to show it live, record the laughter of the live audience, and add the laughter as a separate track when broadcasting. Is there an alternative I'm not thinking of? They wouldn't just record the sounds in the studio (show+laughter) and broadcast that as one track because it would sound like crap.
