THE EASY AND QUICK WAY TO MAKE CHICKEN POT PIE 🥧 FOR THE FALL/OLD SCHOOL CREAMY CHICKEN POT PIE

- OLD SCHOOL CHICKEN POT PIE
THIS IS A GREAT MEAL TO MAKE ON A CHILLY FALL OR WINTER NIGHT
Recipe
8 pieces of chicken
1 cup chopped onions
1 cup chopped celery
2 cups heavy cream
8 oz frozen peas and carrots
1 sheet puff pastry
Boil 8 pieces chicken with celery and onions
In 1 quart of water
Remove chicken from pot and pick off of bones
Add cream to chicken stock and cook for 10 minutes
Thickened with 1/2 cup roux( flour and butter mixture)
Add peas and carrots
Add picked chicken to baking dish
Pour filling over chicken
Cover with puff pastry
Brush with egg wash
Cook in 375 degree oven for 15-20 minutes

I worked at a big company in NJ. Aramark supplied the food and this chicken pot pie with puff pastry was sometimes served in oblong individual dishes. If it was available, i would buy 2. One for me and i would bring one home for my mom. They were fantastic and i never thought id have it again !

Yes! Yes! Yes! I LOVE it without a bottom crust. The bottom gets gooey and that's not good. Top crust high five!

I just made a chicken pot pie using the short cuts you provided. Thank you so much for your tips. I seasoned with salt, pepper, chef paul magic poultry seasoning and a dash of cayenne. The puff pastry topping is my favorite too!
