" I was raised better than this" hits different XD
I felt like that too cause when we were on the foodcourt(it was kinda my first time there)when i finished eating i picked up my trash and looked for a trash can😅.....
I do that to sometimes when i'm visiting a friends house or a relative
This is a message to my fellow Filipinos and future tourists visiting our country.
Even if your house has maids, please clean up after yourselves in everything you do. I have a maid in my household, but I clean up after myself to alleviate the extra work that my maid has to do when she has other things to do around the house.
In some families its considered to be rude to not the host be hospitable to the guest. It’s fine if its your house but if your staying at someone else’s, i think its better to ask if you want to put your dishes in the sink or to just leave it on the table.
Yeah same my mom all ways get mad if I rely on the maid too much. It's also uncomfortable to let the maid do everything her self. I do the simple chores like washing the dishes or cleaning the floor.

"I was raised better than this." That is a freakin mood.
"If you speak english in the jeepney they will know that your not here and they will kidnap you for the ransom"
-typical filipino thinking
ako si puti and been riding in jeepney here for 3 years, no ones shown any interest in my kidneys or holding me for ransom
@@bigidlagger7589 ohh pls a lot of people most of all when your alone danger these days is getting worse
Who else spoke Tagalog and English their whole lives and can’t decide which language is their first?
Parents never taught me it because I wouldn't listen and I regret it every time I'm with relatives

Sorry I got it wrong.
koolkat45 I can't edit it except when people reply because replying means that I can check dis and edit on my notifications but I don't know how to do this on the comment section.
I find the Spanish influence in the Philippines fascinating as someone of Mexican origin so when Dom mentions a dish like longaniza and eggs I'm like "oh cool I had some a couple weeks ago"
I just wanna say that DAMN, your animations have improved so much.
Kudos to you mate.
When you are full German and you grew up being called a nazi in elementary school, mhm...
Fun fact: when I was young my parents spoke to me in English and Spanish. I stopped talking because of that and when my parents took me to the doctors she said to speak to me in one language. And that’s why I don’t speak Spanish
"Dey know u nat praum hir and kednap yu por ransum"
that's the greatest line I heard from this channel
Every filipino mother:
DON’T GO OUTSIDE TOO MUCH IF YOU DON’T WANT TO GET KIDNAPPED
it's actually dangerous here now. that's why I rarely go outside and not going outside made me more lighter skinned
Born in Philipines, moved to Canada. Who does that remind me of. Wait, Domics, are you Mikey Bustos.
There are a ton of Filipino Families in Canada even a few of my relatives moved there, so yeah
Even people I met in Facebook, I didn't think they were full blooded Filipinoes before being Canadians
:D
Josh Hill its same with my aunt she was born on philipins and moved to canada
We call our “maids” here in our home “yaya” and we just have them there to make sure me and my bro don’t have fights or don’t do anything stupid. We don’t feel spoiled since we still get dressed on our own and my parents still are the ones to cook if they’re home. They’re there as family helping out like everyone else in our family.
Not being rude, just saying ^^
You know it's from Philippines when you see a tricycle on the thumbnail
philippines is famouth more thna other i think just guesss crack in english F- in english the fuck speaking english oh comeone im tired speaking im tiiiireddd when my fridns speaking english i just like o m g i need dictonary and then just said like hmm can i speak taglish.
Good stuff! My son (half pinoy) shared your video with me! I know the feeling. I experienced it myself going to Mexico where my grandparents are from! Never forget where you come from! It’s a message we can all take for granted.
before I saw this video I could tell he’s Filipino based on the way he speaks, humor, and his interests. SCREAMS Filipino lmao

When i was in Vietnam, all my relatives couldn't pronounce my name so they called me sáu gà (which means six chicken in Viet)
Sweet. I'm fluent in Vietnamese. But it's annoying when people start guessing if you're Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and more. When I tell them that I'm Vietnamese, there all like "what is Vietnamese?"
The Hearthstone Noob same! I can only understand Vietnamese and write a few words, I take classes, but I never really payed attention to them.
You can’t lie, anyone who’s a Canadian Filipino can relate to this so much.
I heard that in some countries maids don't like people cleaning up after themselves because they interpret it as themselves doing a bad job.
I'm related to my dad according to ancestry.com, crazy right it's a small world after all😅
Dom: "And this video was brought to you by.."
Me: "Crunchyro-"
Dom: "AncestryDNA!"
*Oh.*
I relate to this video on a spiritual level, i was born in Nepal but I lived most my life in Australia and when i went back to visit, the experience was almost identical to the one you described

In our grandparent's home, maids were essentially your assistants. We cleaned the house ourselves inside and out. Even our own room. We did our own laundry. Although the maids were in charge of dishwashing, it was still our job to take the plate to the sink. We only needed maids when we went out doing groceries or wanted to dry all the laundry as fast as possible. Or something was needed to be done and everyone else in the family is busy.
I guess each Filipino household is different.
This whole vid is soo true
To filipinos and future visitors of the Philippines: pls do clean after yourselves. Kahit na may crew na maglilinis ng pinagkainan mo, it will not hurt if you sort the utensils from the trash. It will make their work easier

See, the thing is... it's not really too unusual for Filipinos to not know much of tagalog though. We speak hundreds of languages here. To speak Tagalog, I'd have to mentally translate from Bisaya or English. Heck, I have friends who have lived here their whole lives and still can't understand a word of it. 😅 sad but true.
The fact that I was also born in the Philippines and came to Jeddah too and the fact that I also have trouble speaking but no problem understanding and reply in English instead just makes this video all the more relatable

The maid in philippine is like that but we Filipino are very different when we have visistors
ya having a maid is actually quite common in asian countries such as singapore and malaysia because the grandparents usually live with the family and if the family works they need a helper to live with the family, it’s actually common to have a small helpers room in the apartment or house
I remembered riding that vehicle it's like a tank
Domics: Tells he's a filipino
Filipinos binge watching his videos from latest to earliest: ahhhh kaya pala
The maid and the dish part is so true
I knew that this video is all about like Filipino-related because of the tricycle in the thumbnail.
@@starryepidemic2532 it's called a tricycle in the Philippines shithead
@Dark Gamer And before I forget, tricycle comes from the Greek word treis meaning three and kyklos meaning wheel/circle. Therefore, all three-wheeled vehicles are considered as a tricycle simply because they have three wheels. By the way, thanks google. LOL
"I don't know if I was being rude by trying not to be rude." Haha that's how you know who's the canadian
I'm in the exact same situation, except I'm still waiting for the visit to Philippines. I don't really know Tagalog, but can understand it, and been in Canada for 10+ years. I guess I'll wait 5 more years

"I was raised better than this."
Before using Ancestry (so in early 2019), I knew up to my paternal great-grandparents. When I started the tree, there were like 72 people. Starting in Octuber of that year, I intensified my research. In June, I had records of over 600 people, and then, I hit a literal goldmine. Now, we have various connections to the "World Tree" (over 154 million people). Now, I'm not done yet, I still want to look further up in terms of male-line only. Who knows what I'll find there?
I have never related to a video so much

the thought of having a maid 24/7 scares the absolute shit out me. I know I'm lazy but holy shit.....
Joey maids in the philippines are not slaves or anything, they choose be there as their job. And the people they work for treat them like family. Maids are kind of like family members offering to do work (but for money)
Joey Same here! I'd literally want to get them a separate house to live in.
Joey you're gonna be lazier with them around (especially when you're rich). I should know cause we have two, but it's like an inverse scale: the richer you are, the more prone you are to treating maids as "maids" (most but not all ) poorer you are the more likely your relationship with yoir "maids" is going to be something like a family. So it's not really creepy I guess cuz they're like family but a "maid"????
When Me and my Family visited the Philippines I visited and stayed at my grandmas house for 2 weeks and I have the same experience
Never forget your origins...hell, I'm from America and been living in Thailand for over 20 years, haven't been home since Xmas 2006. I go to sites from the states just to see the landscapes and hear English speakers. I miss home so much it causes me serious depression, but logistics ($) prevent me from going back, at least until hopefully next year.
Domics: i was born in the philippines
