      the restoration is real the whole aging process people do are what’s fake. they add some quick dry cement and some other stuff to make it look 100 years old when it’s 20 years. But the restoration is obviously real

      My opinion of this if they think it’s fake then don’t watch and find another channel to be negative about!

    He does a great restoration. But unfortunately, I noticed a spackle like substance covered in dirt on most of his items. It’s just that, I’ve never seen white rust. And it’s definitely not calcium, it does not get that thick.

    • @AntiqueVintageRestoratioNs
      @AntiqueVintageRestoratioNs  Před rokem +2

      Mitchell, you are very careful. The covering is not rust.It is not dirt or cement neither.(I dont know what it is).When i bought these I was sure it was cement, but after putting it into Muriatic acid it did nothing.It is like rock .These are the stuff that sellers are discard.I buy them for pennies.Thanks for watching.

      Мне пришлось это сделать, потому что было очень много ржавчины. На самом деле, большая часть ржавчины исчезла еще до того, как я почистил ее щеткой. Она была бы чище, если бы я дольше держал ее в электролизе или кислоте, но я не мог позволить себе истончать металл.

    There is no way that has been buried for 40 years. It was covered with an artificial coating to resemble mud and would never survive that long in the ground. It still had paint on it for heaven’s sake.

    • @AntiqueVintageRestoratioNs
      @AntiqueVintageRestoratioNs  Před rokem +2

      When i bought it it was standing on the ground.I dont know if the seller tells the truth.(I dont think he will lie.I buy these for pennies..)The covering was not mud nor cement.(First I thought it was cement.So I used acid for it but as you can see from the video it did not work).Paint is military grade paint.There is green coating below it.Probably toxic.This is why I used paint remover.I did not want to sand directly.Metal is not normal iron.İt is an alloy.Much harder than iron. the pneumatic tool I use to break covering is a professional one.It did not even scratch it.).Thanks for watching.

      Кислота была не только для ржавчины. Сверху это выглядит как грязь, но это не так. Кислота размягчила этот слой. Если бы я использовал откидной диск напрямую, мне пришлось бы использовать много откидных дисков. Спасибо за просмотр.

      Very nice job on the restoration you do nice work. This might sound stupid for a question. Was there supposed to be a check valve that would allow the pressure to only go one way? Thank you for doing quality work.
