FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Where are you from?
- I am from Germany, born and raised. A couple of years ago I relocated to Australia and been living there ever since.
Can you understand Urdu and Hindi?
- I sadly can’t understand both languages fully, neither can I speak them. However I am able to understand a few words and certain phrases.
Why haven’t you reacted to my recommendation yet?
- Every day I receive countless recommendations from you guys, which I am grateful for. I am trying to read all the comments but it does happen that I miss some out. The main factor is probably my working schedule which doesn’t allow me to film videos daily. Most weeks I can only find a couple of hours in the afternoon to film 2-3 videos. Of course I’d love to film more and film all of your recommendations, however I’m trying to stick with 1 or 2 uploaded videos a week. Quality over quantity.
Are you religious?
- I am not.

Arnob & Sunidhi are real life couple (Husband,Wife). Arnob is from Bangladesh and Sunidhi is from India, though she lives in Bangladesh now.
Ok, বেদুইন. How did you learn Bangla?
@@arta.xshaca he's from Africa. It's their 100th official language
💜
@@arta.xshaca Because I'm from Bangladesh.

Arnob and Sunidhi made for each other
I like your reaction in bangladesh🇧🇩 music. Coke studio bangla is on fire 🔥 🐅
Wow that's amazing I love it ❤❤❤❤❤
Here's an eye-catching version: "Surprising revelation: Arnob and Sunidhi, an electrifying duo, are actually a happily married couple!"
This singars husband and wife, ledy is Indian Marathi. This singars are treining bisho varoti university. Ledy is robindro songit, and ornob is painter. Arnob da is kok studio meyn hed.
Oh and don't feel bad about not understanding the descriptions, hell, most of us Bengalis probably don't understand all of it since there's classical music involved. Only the truly musically literate might understand all of it.
Regardless, Coke Studio Bangla has made me appreciate my own heritage, culture and music so much more. I can't be thankful enough for that!
A more Sadhu pronunciation tbf
@@arta.xshaca I was initially going to say that the folks at West Bengal speak "Sadhu" compared to our "chalit" Bangla but I figured that wouldn't be accurate.
"Sadhu", much like Shakespearean English was exclusive to literary works, specifically in writing.
We both speak in "chalit", our primary difference is over the course of time we here at Bangladesh have started skipping syllables. For example, where much of West Bengal would probably say things like "Kheyechhilam" and "Giyechhilam", we tend to use "khaisilam" and "gesilam". It's somewhat similar to saying "gonna" and "trynna" instead of "going to" or "trying to". It is a natural evolution for any language (whether that's positive or negative is up to debate) but personally I feel like our version of Bengali has evolved in that direction more than the West Bengal who generally seem to maintain some of that traditional sweetness of our language.
Either way, it's just my opinion, I'm not trying to pass it up as fact.
Hope you have a wonderful evening.
I love this song and love you from bangladesh ❤
Really heart touching ❤️
This song is a direct shot of dopamine into my veins. It just radiates pure joy.
There are so many layers to this. There are a lot of different ways one night interpret it. Personally how I interprete this whole video is this:
Bangla or Bengal was united in language and culture. For historical reasons Bengal were later divided into West Bengal (a part of India) and the East (i.e. Bangladesh) separated by a border.
Now think about the artists and their environment; on the right we have Sunidhi (the wife and an Indian woman from Kolkata) and Arnob (the husband, a man from Bangladesh), two people divided by culture, border and maybe even religion (I'm not sure about that last part), he's in his contemporary setting and she, in her classical environment. They're yearning for each other but they're separated.
But because of their love and yearning, they overcame the barrier and finally met at the end.
I think you can even see the yearning in Arnob's eyes to finally get to perform on this platform with his beloved too.
Whilst it may or may not be intended, the lyrics remaining unchanged and not representing Arnob and Sunidhi's unity at the end might be representative of the fact that the two Bangla/Bengal will never truly be united despite the two lovers having become one.
This is just my interpretation of course.
Another interesting little detail they've added is the whole of the right side is full of classical instruments and the left is electronic/modern instruments.
I personally interpret the differences not only as our difference in culture but also how we speak our language.
Bengali folks know that people from West Bengal generally speak more "shudhho (formal) Bangla" whilst Bangladeshis speak more "adhunik (modern) Bangla". One particular way to describe Kolkata Bengali to Bangladeshi Bengali is like British English to American / Australian English.
Hence each side of the wall (or border) are different in their own way.

Agra Gharana - The word Gharana in the realm of Indian classical music means singing style. Agra is a name of a place in India, famous for the seat of the Taj Mahal. So “Agra Gharana “ therefore mean the singing style developed in Agra. Which is also a great centre for Indian classical music.
Raag Emon - If compared with the Western Classical Music a Raag/Raga will be comparable to a symphony. All Raags are developed for vocal and instrumental renditions. These Raags are as ancient as Indian civilization.
Bandish - Is the oldest known form of fusion music. In Indian classical music two different Raags presented in their two different renditions are essentially called a Bandish.
They mean Raag Yaman
Let me correct some of the mistakes in information here.
A) Raga Iman: Ragas are at the core of Hindustani and Carnatic classical music. They have nothing to do with symphonies, orchestra, polyphony, or the Sonata form. They are similar to modes in Western music. Essentially when you sing a raga, you use certain notes and do not use certain notes. There is an ascending series of notes to a raga, as well as a descend series of notes. Hence, a raga often has typical phrases which, to a trained ear, is a clue to the raga.
Bandish: This is libretto plus the basic, no-friills tune of a song. Nothing to do with fusion. A classical singer takes this base song and improvises within the structure of the raga, adding variations and ornaments of their own choice. So, all gharanas, that is, traditional schools, sing the same raga, but they may have their distinctive, traditional bandishes. Gharanas have their idiosyncratic preferences, thus distinguishing one from the other.
Raga Iman, or Yaman, is one of the fundamental ragas of Hindustani classical music. It is an evening raga.
@@baidurya noted. Thanks.

Hi Jola, Your are out of touch since 2 months. Hope everything is going good and you are out of touch for good reasons. For example traveling vacation I guess.
I am bit shy to request you to comeback as we are missing your reaction. I am not sure if I am selfish to request you another song "Anondodhara" of coke studio bangla season 2 ?
You should check out the Band Songs too. Our bands are also rich in music. I'm sure you won't be disappointed..😊

Dear jola,
You give fake reactions for getting some views we know that. You don't know bengali language and their emotion. So how could you react this song my dear. You'll just see the video and listen to the music but you'll never understand the beautiful meaning of bengali songs 😊
I have been watching her before the Coke Studio Bangla started their journey, so I know her for a long time. There are few CZcams content creators, who enjoy Bengali songs and music by lyrics rather than judging them by only music. If her reaction is fake, she couldn't relate to this song with another traditional composition "Darale Duare" and recognize Sunidhi as well! Don't judge anyone just by watching them for once or twice, even thrice! As I said, I have been watching her for a long time, and others as well, so I know who is enjoying our cultures properly. 😊
