    No se puede todos acabamos de llevarse bien. Can't we all just get along.
    At least that is the way google translates it.
    Paula I have to say that I really love the clips of native speakers speaking really fast. These are hard for me to follow but great listening practice.
    I was playing around with google translate trying to type a sentence that would translate to "can't we all just get along?"
    This is a famous quote from Rodny King and it might be from before your time. The sentence in spanish translates in google into "can't we all just get along" but not sure if this sentence is grammatically correct or if it really means what google translates it to en ingles.
    One more fun comment. Se acabó is a little phrase that I learned in context watching spanish language television
    The scene went like this the man said a bunch of stuff but then ended with "Se acabó". The woman did not like what he said so she said a bunch of stuff he didnt like so he started punching her, and.she got even more angry and she shot him. I was only to learn later that "se acabo" means it's over. Acabar on its many forms is a word I often pick out of.conversations.
    Thanks for this great lesson on its many usages.

      “Se acabó” is such a common phrase in Tv shows, especially among couples 🤣
      As for your sentence: Can’t we all just get along. Let me help you out:
      In this case that “just” can’t be translated as “acabar de”. So, we need to change it by “solo or simplemente”.
      The final translation would be;
      ¿No podemos simplemente llevarnos bien?
      Maybe I should make a video around the multiple translation of the word “just” in Spanish.

      @ericbaugher Před 3 lety

      @@SpeakSpanishWithPaula I think a video about all the translations of the English word "just" is a great idea. Making a video of all the ways an english word can be translated into Spanish is a classic format. I find it fascinating how many English words can be translated to several completely different Spanish words. This is because English words often have many different meanings.
      A classic word to start with is the word "get", which can be translated in many different ways.
      I sent you a link to a video about the different uses of the word "just" and interesting "simplemente" was not on the lists in the other video.

    I am confused. If we are to use irse when we specify neither from where we are leaving or to where we are going, why do we use it in the situation of a dangerous crowd in your question number one?
