Nissan Xterra transmission valve body replacement.

- This Nissan Xterra does not want to shift properly. The vehicle seems to be taking off in high gear. The O/D light stays on and shifts in gear harshly when cold. In this video I replace the valve body and program the TCM to correct the issue.

Where did the owner get the tcm from? Where are you located in South Florida?
You let us hear you talking but then when you took it apart which is the most important part you fast forwarded it and no direction.
Would you be able to change the output speed sensor through there or easier to go through the drive shaft side
just want to check,is the input turbine sensor is part of the selonoid pack my 07 pathfinder keeps setting a code for that P0715 thank you for any input
I’m having this exact issue on my 2005 Frontier. Will a bad TCM give a different code than a bad valve body? My OD light isn’t on bud OD is not working or low gear. It’s like I’m taking off in 2nd or 3rd gear 🤷🏼♂️
My 2006 pathfinder jerks when R is selected and also the transmission gives a P0744 and P1759 code do you think changing the valve body will work or no? Also a jerk when OD is engaged and disengaged.
Hello. I recently got pathfinder 4.0 2010.
when i shift from R n D there is a slight delay. about 2-3 seconds. Only when from R to D. Is this normal? this may be a common problem with this car? new fluid and everything else works fine.

Got a 2005 Titan 2wd. Mines is sluggish taking off feels like it’s taking off in 2nd gear just for a few seconds when it gets going all gears shifts fine
If the solenoid is bad, can I replace just that on the valve body? Or do I need to replace the whole thing? Also notice some place say "pre-flashed, no dealer flash required with vin #" how true is that? Great vidoe btw thanks
Im not sure if they sell just the solenoid. But if it comes pre programmed then its plug and play
What’s the torque of the bolts that hold the transmission module? What’s the torque to screw the outer cover back on? Thanks for this video.
Not sure about the torque for the pan but the valve body bolts are torqued @ 70 in/lbs
Is the vehicle speed sensor reachable after the valve body is removed?
One is on the valve body the other is in the bell housing
My frontier truck jerks violently when you put in drive and reverse. it also jerks when slowing down at the light and jerks from 1st to 3rd. Do you think I should change the valve body?
Have you scanned for codes
@@gautorepair Yes they said I should change throttle body change the throttle body. Nothing changed
The throttle body or the valve body? Two different parts

With out knowing the codes or anything it would be difficult give you a direction

I changed the tcm but im getting a u1000 code and no gear indicator does it need to be reprogram
Yes. Programming is required
Nissan dealership said that there's no available programming for the tcm I bought online
