I don’t care who wins the awards since I often hate the games that win, but hearing you talk about games is great.

I've only played Daybreak. I liked it. The freedom to do whatever it is you want to the cards you acquire in any sequence gives me a sandboxy vibe.

Daybreak is so good! Totally agree with you.

I am inclined to agree. Daybreak is great, but it's a bit messy, and can be swingy. Some people think it's way too hard, while others think it's way too easy. I haven't played GoME, but it seems more stable.

Oh Daybreak frustrates me so much, but it's super interesting. I've never managed to win it and the theme is rather depressing. But the mechanisms make me want to come back... 😁

Try the computer game “Fate of the World”. It’s an amazing card game.

I saw some comments that daybreak gameplay is kinda of "everyone in silence thinking" and that put me off to trying the game (as it is super expensive as well) did your experience with the game felt like this? less table talk and more of each player solving the puzzle?

I think it depends on the players at the table. I have a communicative group, so we group talk/strategize. And I think that makes it fun and a better game.

The new release model for games means most are over-priced at launch then come down massively on price as the hype dies down. Today’s $80 hotness is tomorrow’s $15 bargain bin. I know because I mostly buy $8-15 bargain bin games.
