    So good, excellent creation. Heard this on the radio and the emotions it gave me were so striking, a story of the defeats and triumphs of love, the difficulty, and struggle of life, but finding beauty in it in the end. At least that’s my interpretation! Thank you for this and Cheers.

    Je souffre d’une douleur arthritique quotidienne et parfois il m’est difficile de m’endormir. Cette vidéo est un véritable cadeau. Je médite en écoutant. J'ai une terrasse de mon appartement qui fait face à une belle zone boisée. Je me
    retrouve allongé sur ma balançoire, écoutant les oiseaux (dont il y a une belle variété), regardant les feuilles scintillantes flottant sur les arbres. Mon voisin a une fontaine installée sur son patio ... C'est de l'eau fraîche et
    frémissante que j'entends dans cette vidéo.

    Well this is a first for me tonight as I never realized that Tony Banks composed a played classical music and I’m completely blown away it’s absolutely beautiful..so emotional..I think it has a tint of John Williams in there..

    Immagino quanto gli sia piaciuto mettere giù queste note, quanto lo abbia divertito, soddisfatto. Questa è la musica del gioco, della libera espressione, è quella musica che dici "io vorrei che fosse così", e poi la realizzi, senza pensare alle critiche, senza pensare a chi la voglia sminuire o a chi pretenda qualcosa di più banale. Questa è la vera musica, prodotta da chi è in equilibrio fra l'arido professionista e il bambino. E noi siamo fortunati a poter godere qualcosa di molto raro.

    Wow, this is like 70's Genesis but with an orchestral arrangement. Tony's still got it! Amazing composer.

    The third piece that I prefer on "Five", after "Prelude To A Million Years" and "Renaissance". This is exactly what I love in Tony Banks' music, since he started with Genesis... This very strong, lyrical, romantic, symphonic approach with some classical influences that I can't exactly be sure of. But as I grow older and listen to more and more classical music, maybe I hear some Sibelius (I think that he appreciates this composer that I dig more and more), Elgar influences in Tony's music... Nevermind, this is *his* music and what matters is that it's at the same time ambitious, extremely accessible and ... just magnificent. "Five" often reminds me of his best contributions to Genesis' early albums.
    It's such a pleasure to review this album, like I reviewed "Seven" back in 2004 (I think this was my album of the year, by then), to try to give people the urge to listen and buy it. This should be made really famous... I am 100% sure that millions of people in the world would love this if they'd get a chance to hear it.
    So once again, "thank you" and Bravissimo ! to Tony Banks !

    You can actually feel the ocean pulsating in this piece. The woodwinds kind of carry the action beginning with the soprano saxophone, then the clarinet, and ending with the flutes and oboe. Very nice music. Sounds a bit like John Williams.

    Tony: Marvelous piece!! Its seems to me that iI was listening to some of impressionist French musicians, such as Debussy or Ravel. Beautiful melody

    i wonder , is it possible to get all the boys together and drum up a meaty last Genesis recording, you know Tony, the way its supposed to sound. Thanks for the emotion musically over the years, it was fun from this end.

    Another great composition from the Maestro Tony!!! I'm still awaiting my vinyl copy with cd from England! This will get lots of time in my player!!! Tony's music is just breathtaking! So reminiscent of the older Genesis!!!! AMAZING!!!!

    Banks has said in interviews that his solo albums in the 90s sold well at first, but then they didn't do as well. That's possibly the reason why his piano is mixed so low in volume.

      xxYOURBIJOUxx top notch headphones will pick the piano up better, I’ve got some decent headphones on and can hear the piano parts very nicely.

    Many of the instruments featured in this arrangement cannot be heard including the most important, Tony's piano playing. Not even as a texture that blends with the orchestra. But that most likely was an artistic decision. Not sure I like the composition it seems to go nowhere. But as i can see from others in the comments really do enjoy it. Regardless it sounds great and totally professional.

    Would make a wonder film score, or at least the beginnings of one. Beautiful melodies, but it lacks the bite of his unusual chord transitions and rhythmic interest.

    Once an Orchestra is added, it becomes boring. Genesis was about innovative chemistry.

      Genesis is not Tony, Genesis is over.
      Tony is trying to really become a composer, far from his days with the band. He actually have said in interviews that composing for orchestra gives you more freedom that composing while being a instrumentalist in a band; from my experience, I tend to agree with him.
      I really hope he release his last classical album, he has said that is going to be a 4 movement symphony.
