Thanks watched this with the volume on my wife now thinks I was watching 70s porno
Maybe 80’s or 90’s porno. 70’s porno would be really funky and non-digital.
So big question why is it you don't show how anti rattle springs fit , actually none of you videos show anti rattle springs , after al they are a quick wearing an vital part is f brakes
Thank you for your feedback! There are no pressure springs on the front brakes of this car, please clarify your question and feel free to contact our Customer Support team with any questions required. Best regards, Autodoc Team!
Some mazdas came with a factory "big brake" like mine that do have springs
No clip tensioner?
This was fantastic. Simple, straight forward, and only cut out stuff that was obvious.
Thank you for the feedback! We hope that our tutorial was helpful for you. Stay tuned and follow our latest updates. Best regards, Autodoc.
The video lacks too much info for newbies or inexperienced that now think they can change their brake pads and rotors.
when i did this, i wondered why is there no retaining screw for the disc but seems like the wheel nut is enough to put the disc in place?
fantastic videos by the way! i have 3 cars that i maintain myself with the help of your videos
Thank you for your feedback.
That's right, the wheel nuts hold the brake disc.
Best Regards,
Autodoc team.
Proper torque? Remove brake cylinder cap when compressing piston?
Thank you for the feedback! The brake cylinder cover must be opened when the caliper piston is compressed. Best Regards, Autodoc
It's good practice to clean the face of the hub before putting the new discs on!
Perfect professional video. No commentary, straight to it, and it still couldn't be any clearer!
Thank you for sharing your opinion!
Oh wow, it's so easy haha
Don't know why I was so nervous about doing it myself
We hope our videos were useful.
AUTODOC
I get nervous in the case that my callipers would be seized 🙃
@@OzokuRJS one of my guide pins was rusted to hell because it’s rubber boot cracked. I cleaned it off and the hole it came out of and sanded off the rust with a metal wire brush on the pin and sandpaper wrapped around a stick for the hole and reapplied break lube and got a new rubber boot for 4 bucks at autozone. Otherwise it went smoothly. I wish you luck and recommend you watch more videos than just this one. It leaves out some important steps you wouldn’t know it’s missing because the dislike counter is gone.
Great video - very useful! Presumably the tool used for pressing in the piston is not absolutely necessary?
Thank you for the feedback! We hope that our tutorial was helpful for you. Stay tuned and follow our latest updates. Best regards, Autodoc.
you can make your own with a c clamp or buy a set from amazon
www.amazon.com/DASBET-22pcs-Heavy-Caliper-Replacement/dp/B071CTHX1M/ref=asc_df_B071CTHX1M/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=241983951578&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7013239160629227315&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1026759&hvtargid=pla-479727249964&psc=1 this one is only 20$, not needed but very helpful when doing brakes for any car
Where are the shims ? should also put copper grease on the sliders, known problem on NBs
Thank you for your feedbacK! You are absolutely right - it is necessary to do it in practice. But our video is just informative, and to save time, some necessary steps were omitted. Best regards, Autodoc.
@@autodocuk phew! So don't follow this video if you are attempting a DIY job... USE the manual, far too many things omitted.
You shouldn't put GREASE near BRAKES. Fuck sake.
@@AsILayDyingBFMV you are supposed to put grease on the backing plates and on the slide pins... you don’t put it on the pads lmao.
@@autodocuk I'm here fully expecting a how-to. I guess ChrisFix will help me...
Am I missing something really obvious here or Is my garage taking me for a ride by charging 90 quid to replace the front disks and pads? Labour only.
Theyre taking you for a ride! Both front pads and discs can be done in 30 minutes
That’s a deal compared to the shop I checked, they wanted one-thousand bucks to install new pads and discs. Doing the work myself.
Gracias¡¡¡ muy util buen video.
The bolt for the caliper just twists what do I do
Thank you for your comment! We highly recommend you use a professional car workshop to have a close look into this issue. Best Regards, Autodoc Team
What is he doing at 4:10?
Thank you for your feedback! We are pressing the brake caliper pot ,so that the new brake pads can be mounted. Best regards, Autodoc.
and if you don't have that tool, I use a flat piece of wood and a great big pipe wrench to squeeze....works great
presses the piston of caliper so it pads can fit. theres a lot of ways to press it and dont use that thing
Reinigen is , ook niet vd zuiger, is dus volgens jullie niet nodig? Jullie verkopen nochtans remmenreiniger... Ook geen vet achterop de blokken?
Thanks for your comment! Please clarify or rephrase your comment.

Thank you for the feedback! This video is considered to be an informative one, and it shows the sequence of repairs, so some stages of the repairs might have been excluded. All these procedures should be carried out. Best regards, Autodoc.
