Hi Steve :-) cheers do have some good stuff that is fairly local. York area which is pretty flat is where most of our airfields where during WW2.

Nice little walk around John. Ihave been to Sunderland air museum a couple of times but never Elvington, after seing this I must try to get there, The Mosquito must be my favourite WW2 aircraft along with the Lanc. Both beautiful planes. Had some of the planes had their wings clipped so to speak? Thanks for posting. Dave

Hi Dave :-) cheers it was a good day apart from the drizzle, the clipped wing thing is a quirk of the GoPro and the fish-eye lens it, it can really distort stuff but it does get a lot in. I agree with you on the Mozzy the Wooden Wonder, great aeroplane.

What scares me is that I worked on the Tornado and there it is now in a museum. I still consider it a "new" aircraft. I was in the RAF when it was introduced and we thought it was the dogs bollocks! And then the Harrier GR3. I worked on that beast in Germany! I must be getting old!

Hi Dave n Mary :-) wow great stuff you worked on these, the Harrier for me has always been an amazing aircraft but the Victor love at first sight and older than both of us! Operation Black Buck was a work of art for these beasties.
