Even if The Rock, Cody and Roman saga was a pivoted due to fans backlash the story had become way more interesting with Rock turning heel. This is The Rock's final boss avatar and he's outshining both Roman and Cody.

Rock is definitely outshining Roman. That's for sure.
Rock outshining Cody though? I don't think so. Rock's scheming villainous persona has meshed extremely well with Cody's beloved heroic persona plus Cody just a few days ago on Raw unleashed an explosive promo at The Rock that had everyone cheering.
Rock was outshining Seth at first but ever since Drew won The Men's Elimination Chamber match, Drew & Seth have been effectively building up their World HW Championship match at Wrestlemania 40 plus add the fact that Drew is regularly mocking cm punk & his bout with Seth is getting more & more interesting.

That’s the problem. For one I don’t think he’s outshining Cody at all really, I mean the whole reason they pivoted was that they liked Cody more. However with Reigns-the face of the company and biggest heel since prime Orton-he’s basically dwarfed him. And not inherently because he’s such a bigger star or something like that-but because they’ve given him all the segments. He’s cutting the promos when Roman is there, he’s cutting promos when Roman isn’t there, he’s cutting promos when nobody’s there on his Instagram. Thats the thing that makes no sense and the night 2 Main Event’s build is clearly worse than it was last year.
Actually, the MORE APPROPRIATE & MORE ACCURATE thing to say would be, "ROCK & CODY have OUTSHINED ROMAN!"
It’s INSANE how things in wrestling can change a big Wrestlemania match and make it even bigger or better

How is it better? The Rock Vs Roman would have actually been entertaining. Cody lost last year deservingly so because he is a mid carder. People want to elevate him higher than he deserves. I guess as a reflection of the treatment they wish they could get; better than they deserve

@@rcdune7132 wdym? It was actually good overall, I mean sure, the brother vs brother match lacked brutality, it did because it's Jey's character. He doesn't want to kill his brother. So that part is all good. But the lackluster one is the Mysterio father and son with their Escobar and Andrade. I thought it was over after last year's mania.

Why ? Because Cody Said « Roman im coming for you but NOT NOW !! » and then said « I know someone who knows you very well » . Then the following week they acted like Cody never took his decision !!
so if that was a work it was not well made because clearly he said « not this mania ! » then said « ok this mania »

@@rcdune7132It’s not a work lmao, they muted the crowd at first. They hid the reaction and reuploaded the video of Cody giving his Mania spot away. Plus he went from pointing “I want you at Mania” to “I’m taking everything but not at Mania.” *AND THEN* there’s the fact that the Rock, who is not in the Main Event, has had multiple consecutive showings including a completely solo segment in his hometown of all places. The amount of time he’s showing up is indicative of a challenger preparing to face the champ at Mania.
@@stanleylee3329 tee hee they were testing the waters kiddo... The Rock threw the challenge to Roman back in January, before Cody won The Rumble... Haha did you forget about that one? So again, they were clearly testing the waters to see how people would react in the Cody crybabies overreacted like a bunch of whiny children and got worked!
@@rcdune7132 Genuinely muting the crowd’s reaction and uploading versions of an episode that cut out key parts and also leave major plot holes isn’t testing the waters. Giving a guy who isn’t even wrestling at Night 2-much less in its main event of it a 20 minute solo segment in his hometown before the champion and challenger have ever had a 1v1 segment in the ring alone isn’t the result of “testing the waters” and it’s certainly not something that was chosen AFTER choosing Cody. That was chosen months prior. Also testing what waters??? You either planned for it to be Cody the whole time or you planned for it to be Rock and changed it, there is no “testing the waters” on the Road to Wrestlemania.
Rock/cody deal was a work. They banked on the negative response to give rock a reason to become heel. Did you see how gassed rock was after a 1 minute beatdown of jinder mahal? No way he could go 20/30 mins with roman - tag match lets him work more effectivly. Plus wwe tend to roughly book mania out 6 months in advance.
Not to mention the moment ppl started the We Want Cody trend WWE followed through it. All of this was to put the public against The Rock in fears of backlashing after turning him heel.

Hogan would've never done the job for Bret. Hogan refused to do the job for HBK at SummerSlam 05'. They were supposed to 3 matches with both Shawn and Hogan winning one each & Hogan winning the final match.
But Hogan went back on the agreed deal and insisted he win the first 2 matches. The result Shawn comically oversold Hogan's every move and made the match look like a clown show.
Hahaha people can complain all they want about the ending to WrestleMania 9... But just listen to that crowd POP when Hogan pins Yokozuna!! They went insane!! 💯💯

Angle said he was shocked that with how badly he walked into the XIX match that Lesnar could somehow walk out even worse off.
The issue with XXX is that they had done a ton of setup for some kind of major payoff yet kept binning it in random and stupid ways (like having The Big Show interrupt the Battleground match with Orton and Bryan, Big Show then getting a match at Survivor Series while Bryan got kicked out of the main event scene after Hell in a Cell). So they weren't telling a competent story and people were wanting the payoff to Bryan's rise to the top that they had been stretching out and avoiding since SummerSlam. They even had to double back on the terrible heel turn decision because everyone saw through it as the distraction it was all along. It was probably the response to the Rumble and Punk's exit that finally flipped the switch.
You cannot overlook the impact of CM Punk's injury on the main event of WrestleMania XL. That was a massive x-factor that required several pivots to make work.
Making Brock win at Mania 30 and 34 were dumb. No one should've broken the stream especially Brock and Roman should've just captured the Universal Title at Mania 34 not have Brock retain because Brock never showed up

Rock and Triple H deserved their main event at Mania 16 as a singles match. No one sles should've been there that was just stupid

If there's one thing The Rock hates, it's when the People turn on the People's Champion. Every time this has happened, The Rock has turned heel, and he has always become much more interesting as a result.

I wish Daniel Bryan had never gotten into the WM30 Main event cause I actually wanted to see Batista win the WWE Title.
I also wished to see Rock and Roman fight, but of course, the Cody crybabies couldn't leave well enough alone.
Cody fans potentially turned a dream match to a big what if’s in history of wrestling because of the fans crying smh. We potentially may not get that Rock vs Reigns match ever…
Bruh, all of this was worked lmao and by how things are going whith Dwayne suddenly taking over as the main villain instead of Roman, everything leads to a Rock vs Roman. Not to mention, if the match was held at this Mania it would be a disaster, just look at the segment with Jinder and Dwayne, he was out of breath after giving a single Rock Bottom
